I have 3 email accounts on AOL
#1 is my Main for email and everyday life
#2 is my husband's (he's dead but his is the master acct. and can't be deleted)
#3 is AztecGold11 used for ADT-buying adult DVD's-and anything porn related

#1 gets spam
#2 gets spam but I have it set so everything is auto deleted
unless they are in his address book
#3 AztecGold11 is set to accept email from everyone-NO spam controls set.

Now the strange thing--AZ11 has NEVER gotten any spam-not 1 piece.
How is this possible?

-the spam monkeys haven't found account number 3 yet
-you're not receiving email from computers that have been compromised
-you haven't used it to sign up to any mailing lists that sell your email address

It's the AOL connection.
#1 gets spammed because the e-mail address is visible on AOL. If you've ever been in AOL chat rooms, pinheads are actually harvesting your screen name.

Keep doing what you're doing.
And, never use #3 for general surfing or AOL chat rooms!

You want my spam? I'll gladly share it.

My inbox has like 50 spam emails every half day. The price I pay for putting my email in reviews I guess. The odd thing is, my gmail account is virtually dead. No one emails there, only at my.adultdvdtalk.com. Go figure.

I haven't used AOhelL in about 3 or 4 years, those were some happy times when I cancelled that. But I never got spam email when I did have them.

This is exactly correct! If you actually want some spam (assuming you're on AOL), just drop into one of their chat rooms and hang around there for a couple of hours and you'll get plenty of it. It's also helpful (*for you) if you don't have an AOL profile. Virtually anything that makes you visible on AOL's system will expose you to spam harvesters. I haven't even really seen any spam since I left AOL......but then again, I rarely use email.
