Percentage wise they seem to have the most hard bodies in porn. There's also near bodybuilder level girls like Kelly Provacatuer and Mistress Kiara Among the latinas, Nikki Delano most notably for domestic porn actress , as well as those that are strictly south of the border Yara Morganna, Byancca Tavares, Danni Mancini, Fernandinha Ferrara, and then there's ESPERANZA GOMEZ, the greatest body in porn to me. They seem to be all about having huge muscular quads and butts Amia Miley, Synthia Fixxx, Julia Roca, Danika Mori, Madison Ivy, Carmin Blue, Chrissy Fox, Brian Beau, Farrah Dahl and a recently discovered Paige Owens are some of the ripped white ladies that haven't been mentioned. Then there are some huge bodybuilding females like Rapture, Brandi Mae, Amber Deluca, Annie Rivieccio, Lisa Cross, Ashlee Chambers that all still do, or until relatively recently, b/g amateur shoots. I don't think the demand is the problem. Brandi Love, Kendra lust and Nicole Aniston are in the top 10 most popular pornstars. Aspen Rae and Brooke Black are in the top 10 most popular cam girls, so too was Bakhar Nabieva under whatever name she was using. I remember watching Down in the Valley documentary series on Showtime or some such years ago, and they were showing the porn casting process. The producers actively discriminated against a very fit but beautiful young girl, saying she was too muscular and chose an average looking plump girl over her. The gatekeepers are why there is a limited amount of really fit girls in pron, or why the ones that are there don't do that many scenes, or soften their look. ^Presumably the 'gatekeepers' you speak of discriminate for a reason, other than their own personal prejudices? Porn is a business and they want to make money; they wouldn't bar entry to female performers if there was a big potential audience for them. Surely, the 'gatekeepers' just think 'fit' girls aren't as popular as 'soft' girls? Maybe they're wrong about that (maybe they're right) but I don't think there's anything sinister going on.

I like fitness girls, but I can understand that producers might not want a girl that has passed a certain fitness threshold and is really, really ripped.

^ Thats because woman watch porn too. If woman saw that a fit ripped girl is a symbol of beauty, they'd be mortified. They need to see an average looking body so they're comfortable with their own body.
^I can't think of many 'average' looking bodies in porn. Almost all the women in porn are slim and in great shape. Just because they aren't 'ripped' and ultra fit, doesn't mean they're 'average'.
I think It's a slowish social evolution. Though there is still a small proportion, there are more fit women in porn than ever. There are many more (visibly) fit women in sports now too. I remember when female boxers and the early mma female fighters were all flabby. Now at least a third of the boxers carry actual muscle and the majority of mma fighters have lean muscle. The same evolution is visibly happening in tennis and gymnastics. Fit Instagram models are super popular. The only place I see where nothing has happened is Hollywood. Jennifer Garner and Jessica Biel sported an athletic look in the early 2000s. Janet Jackson, Madonna and most of the Spice Girls were really, really fit. These days the only A listers I've seen in that level are Evangeline Lily, and Alicia Vikander for a specific role. The thing slowing the pace seems to be there's some sort of battle being waged among women about feminist/feminine ideals , and fit shaming, skinny shaming and mom shaming have become a thing, like slut shaming was/is a thing. ^I still think it's a supply and demand thing too, certainly when it comes to porn. There's clearly a market for 'fit' or 'ripped' women, but I think it's only a minority taste. Most guys prefer a 'softer' look, I think.
Well for me 90% of porno girls are average. If you don't consider actively unfit Americans and older folks, and go by what is normal for people younger than 40 internationally. It's the body type of a relatively sedentary lifestyle and moderate diet. I still find the average body type attractive, when combined with a very above face, like say Keisha Gray, who still has great proportions otherwise, so only average in the sense of the level of fitness. Another thing is I know guys who are into fit women go crazy for them in a way that the average guy is only moderately attracted to average female body. Only by American standards they're slim and in great shape. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with being average, but there's a quite a gap between what slim means in the EU and in US. For me it depends on the Actress. Ivy Lebelle is very curvy, but I would never want to change her figure because its so sexy on her. But imagine putting her figure on Elsa Jean? I just wouldn't work
This is a presumption that flies in the face of the evidence he just presented. Look at how much work some of the women he mentioned get. Also, why would you assume that the gatekeepers are all devoid of making choices on personal preference? Most people have a hard time accepting that what they think is attractive everyone else should think is attractive. I don't know why we always assume that the invisible hand is always at work when there's more evidence than not that it isn't always at work.
It amazes me that there aren't more fitness girls in porn too. You have girls like Sommer Ray and Jen Selter with 23/12.7 MILLION followers on Instagram, and thousands more with huge followings. In the age of "influencers" where a fit girl just posting a few squatting routines in a pair of Gymshark leggings can get a girl popular, you'd think there would be more demand. I think the best points that have been brought up are: 1. These girls probably trend towards straight edge, and while they are willing to show off their bodies in a pair of leggings and a sports bra, they probably see it as an expression of hard work and fitness, even if their fans might see it as sexually appealing. And 2. The best fitness Instagram girls are making millions in sponsorships and ad revenue. Many more are probably making a few thousand from likes and YouTube ad revenue. There probably just isn't a huge financial incentive for these girls when the social media route can make them just as much as a middle of the road porn performer.
