Does anyone know how these fucks are still in business when they don't reply to people's e-mails, nor do they have a telephone number to ring? With so many complaints, how do they manage to stay in business? It's a mystery to me. They finally replied to my e-mails after five weeks telling me to choose some alternative titles and now they aren't even dispatching those, nor are they replying to my e-mails.

I think it's catching. I made my order with Five Star over a month ago. I got the ones they had in stock okay and without a hitch, but the ones that weren't in stock still haven't come in! Not only that, but I sent an E-mail at the beginning of the week and I still haven't heard anything!!! What's happened?! Ethan was never like this! He used to always be very prompt and helpful.

Because some people still persist ordering from them when they've had the worst reputation for many many years, and regularly get dire feedback on all the forums?
They get a lot of hits on their site by being high up the ratings of search engines and from being linked to numerous sites.
They also concentrate on the UK market. British buyers (who are not in the 'know') probably think it's safer to order from a seemingly UK owned site with prices in British pounds than an American site.
Lastly, they probably rely on impulse buyers. One off orders from people who are just surfing for porn.
I disagree, Steph. I remember about three years ago I used them and they provided excellent customer service. Oh, well, I did EVENTUALLY get a response and I did EVENTUALLY get my titles, albeit alternatives.
I did purchase from Vidshop about 13 months ago, it was through an affiliate link on another site. I got the DVD ok, took about 2 weeks but I got it.... I was probably 80%happy
