Jules Ass Worship 6 movie has been out since 10/22 or so, and yet my favorite site, adultdvdempire.com still doesn't have it.
The weird thing is that they do have Jules Jordan's latest movie, Perfect Specimens 2, so it can't be that they're simply behind on stocking Evil Angel items.

Does anyone know if ADE purposefully chose not to carry the movie? They've done such things before.
If that's the case here, it would ensure that I immediately start looking to move to other stores that don't force their own censorship rules on their customers.

My guess that they aren't carry it because of the "Twins". I love ADE but this kind of stuff gets old. I know they are trying to protect themselves but some of the stuff they censor is questionable. I understand the Extreme(Rob Black) stuff but some of the other stuff they censor is questionable. This isn't the first Jules' title to be censored by ADE.

The Twins are in Perfect Specimens 2 which they do have in stock so obviously ADE does not have a problem with that. As for Ass Worship 6, I have no idea why? There is nothing in that release that looks unacceptable to me. They did the same thing with Flesh Hunter 5 because there was wrenches fisting up Taylor Rain's ass so they decided to ditch the release. They also were gonna ditch Bella Loves Jenna because of the fisting scene but a few days later they had it back in stock. They seem to be couples based retailer.

Hi Sanders,
Thanks for the explanation. But i wouldn´t call the Bella and Jenna thing a "scene" :) It´s over sooner as you can say over :)). And i doubt that "couples" don´t play around in bed ... oh well ... the old story about what one "considers" obscene (this i will never understand) ... i´m gone now

I still don't get it. What's the "Twins" scene?
Does anyone know a better retailer? One that doesn't impose their own moronic, self-righteous censorship rules on their customers?

Maybe it's the milk enema in Jayna Oso's scene?

Dick, instead of berating empire just buy it somewhere else - look tons of stores have ass worship 6. All the stores listed are reliable.

Choosing not to carry an item is not censorship, it's basic risk asssesment. Everyone who sells adult products takes a risk for themselves and their employees.

steph, you are assuming that ADE is not stocking Ass Worship 6 due to a "risk"? :)

i highly doubt they are making business decisions based on "self-righteousness" and a store choosing which products it wants to sell is not "censorship". of course there could be a business reason i'm not aware of - which you seem to be implying.

I think it is safe to say that ADE is very conservative when it comes to adult movies, lets just leave it at that, but steph is right, check the price search you can find this title pretty much everywhere else, maybe even less expensive.

Absolutely. But if my company was mentioned in the Extreme Associates indictment (even generically as was the case with ADE) and that case were taking place in my "back yard", I'd probably be overly cautious as well.

It's ridiculous that they have to pick & choose what they will and won't sell, like they have had to do over the last year or two. But is certainly the prudent thing for them to do as a business that's looking to make money, as opposed to possibly becoming a first amendment martyr.

Do they sell new DVDs? Or do they just rent and sell used ones (like Blockbuster)

Bill/Jules/Steph.
I see your point.

It's just that this is the 2nd bad experience I have with ADE due to them being, to put it mildly, "ultra-cautious".

First time it happened was when I had an open order that included a few Extreme Associates titles (not the implicated ones) back when the lawsuit started. Back then, ADE deleted all EA titles from my order and lied claiming they were not available from their supplier (which later turned out to be untrue)

Having used their web site as my primary source for years, I stayed with them, thinking that mainstream directors/studios were exempt from their overzealous risk aversion. Since they're one of the biggest DVD sites, I considered them my authoritative source of what comes out on DVD -- as in, if they don't have a certain DVD movie, then it hasn't been released on DVD for one reason or another (e.g. not popular enough to justify the cost)

But now I feel somewhat betrayed and angry because I just realized that ADE had been continuing this silent form of "censorship" all along rather than stopping at banning the controversial Extreme Associates studio from their site.

So, I used the term "censorship" because that's what it felt like seeing that your trusted source of information was hiding certain things (in this case titles) from you all along.

Now I have to search for someone else.
(It could've been ADT, except that you guys rarely included screenshots and now you're even forced not to due to the new laws)

Just to clarify, I assume you mean ADE and not ADT in all of the references above?

And XRent sells both new and used items. It's very clear at their site when adding items to your cart. There's an add to cart button for each type of item.

I used to do the same. But as soon as the Extreme indictment occurred, this became a bad idea. I immediately noticed that rather than listing new titles on their release day, as ADE had always done before, they were listing them a few days later. I later came to learn that ADE was previewing every title before putting them on their site.

At that point, I changed the way that I look to see what has become available.

I disagree with your "censorship" logic, because you were using ADE's site in a way that they never intended it to be used. They never claimed to stock all movies from all producers. Nor did they ever claim to be a reference source of all new releases. Their 'new releases' is a list of all new movies that they sell . No more, no less. The fact that you unsuccessfully attempted to utilize their data for reasons other than it was intended is not their problem.

Why is it when someone can't buy a title from a store it suddenly becomes censorship. ADE isn't censoring what you can watch they are choosing not to carry some titles that might possibly get them in trouble and given what has happened there I wouldn't blame them. Especially since they also have a large mainstream store which would also be in jeopardy if their adult section gets them in trouble. However, in no way have they censored what you can watch. As has been pointed out here already many other stores still carry the items so you can still watch them. They are just a private business choosing not to carry some titles. If Best Buy decided not to stock a title would that be censorship as well even if you could buy it at Circuit City, Target etc? There is a huge difference between censorship and a business decision. I wish people would learn that and stop using the wrong words.

I'm waiting for the term "Nazi fucks" to be used now. It always brings a smile to my face each time someone calls me a Nazi fuck.

But it can be ADT. The beauty about searching on ADT is that is contains movies from every store (as long as that store has submitted their new released to ADT) and then it has a link to those stores. It's one extra step (ADT new release list --> store list --> box cover at selected store), but you are able to see virtually everything.

If you don't want to go this route, I would suggest AdultCDMovies as your ADe replacement for looking up new releases. They usually have box covers and release dates up about a week before the release date.

Oops! Sorry, I meant ADE indeed. I've fixed those references now.

Thanks for the info about XRent. I'll check them out.

I agree with you. If you notice, I put in quotes and noted that this is what I felt like. I was just trying to explain why I was so ticked off.

Seems that, as with Bill, you also didn't notice that my later explanation clearly used quotation marks around the word censorship to indicate it was just my subjective perception of the events which were admittedly the result of me trusting ADE to be something they were not (i.e. a comprehensive store that stocks everything)

I get that. I agree that ADT would be a great source for learning about new movies as they get released (I wouldn't have been aware of AssWorship 6 if it weren't for ADT ) but it's just a partial solution. Next I need a site that would let me at least see big shots of the front and back of the box cover. Of course ADT doesn't do back covers and most if not all of the sites it links to require registration. Naturally, I don't wanna register at some site just to see the box cover of just a single movie. That's why I'm trying to find the "next biggest thing".
Do they or any other site you know of also carry screenshots like ADE? That would be a cool replacement for ADE.

Sometimes. But not as often as ADE does.
