Think like a salesman.... If VIVID were smart what they should do is make this an event (because it would be). VIVID announces that they think they have a void that needs to be filled and does a nation wide talent search to find their next hot black pornstar. They may even be able to do something with SHOWTIME. I'm sure there are plenty of hot black women out there on the fence about getting into porn but the extreme Gonzo stuff scares them away. I'm sure there are some hot black women who've only shot a hand full of porn but aren't happy with the stuff they've appeared in. I'm sure there are some hot black women doing web only stuff that aren't well known and would love a shot at some major exposure. I'm sure there's some established hot black porn women who'd love to work for VIDID but assumed it would be a waste of time trying to become a VIVID contract girl. VIVID is still seen as the classy porn company so it's not out of the question you'd see girls willing to consider working for VIVID who might not consider doing porn for other companies...Just like there are girls willing to get naked for PLAYBOY but not other nudy/porn mags. Win-win for all involved. VIVID gets tons of exposure and there's tons of promotion. Black women who feel slighted by the big companies get a chance to show their stuff. Fans of black women may give VIVID another look. VIVID walks away looking like the company willing to do the right thing. If it's a success you do it again with the next minority. You offer up a limited contract. If the girl doesn't pull in the sales after about 3 or 4 movies you just dump her. If she moves product you extend her contract. How can this possibly not work?
I personally don't participate in race related discussions anymore but I find this thread very interesting because of your stance. Doing IR is not a requirement for a Vivid girl now or ever has been. The Vivid girls that want to shoot IR Want too, they are not required to. I think the argument whether we would or would not hire someone today that we already hired is speculation at best and somewhat absurd. WE ALREADY HIRED THEM. Thank you very much. I have to tell you, being attacked by a very few still tests your mettle. If you know me, It would be really easy for me to get in match of playing the dozens. But in an effort to let some of the posters on here to get to know me better, I am celebrating my 4th sober birthday Feb. 1st. Part of that program, which I am heavily involved in, is rigorist honesty. So to be called a liar for something they know really nothing about hurts. The other part of that program is to make amends when you are wrong, which I do. Some people mistake this for making excuses when a mistake is made. I really appreciate your support. Well, in Vivid's defense. In Black and White and American Swingers, both starring Monique Alexander, were the two best "IR themed" features, I saw all of last year. DP, Wicked, and other companies should take a look at both of those films, if they want to learn a thing or about producing IR theme features. I rate both 5 stars. With that said, it would be nice if Vivid, could ask/convince another one of their starlets, besides Savanna and Monique (I Know she left the company), to star in the next BlackMaled series or their next IR themed feature.
