Hi, there's been a lot of reports on how the downturn in the economy is causing porn sales to dip. Does this mean then that production companies will dump "expensive" features and concentrate on cheap gonzo until the situation improves? I hope that this is not the case. Porn is a "luxury" and the first thing to go when the economy gets bad are luxuries.

Not at all. If you look at this months AVN cover. Read what it says Big Budget is back. It looks like in these times more production companies are going to making bigger films so they don't have to compete with the 400 gonzo releases everyday.

Here in the Uk we're hearing the same story regarding the credit crunch. I was speaking to a director/webmaster the other day that actually reckoned that it was a good thing for porn Industry.
As when people are down, they want a cheap thrill, porn satisfies that need! lol Its also probably going to bring more fresh new girls into the industry too.
Im not sure how good his prediction is, but it will be good for guys like me if hes right!
