Well Vivid is going to test the Ir market again with it new Blackmailed series with Sannvan Samson, and Briann Bank. The last Blackmailed series had strong sale with the Ir fan base. I think that Vivid is trying to add the black dollar which btw most of the Ir fans are black men. I can't not wait for the next Blackmailed series by Sannvan soon.
Is it a new series, or a continuation of the series? I don't think they care about the black dollar, rather I believe they saw that the first Blackmailed did well so they have encouraged the rest of their contract stars to do an IR scene.
I'm blackballing everything from Vivid, I don't care if it's myf favorite or not. If I want interracial I watch movies from Climax9, Evasive Angles, West Coast Productions and Justin Slayer Productions, not Vivid.
Because Vivid stands for everything I'm against. They don't care about us fans and bringing out good products, they only care about making a lot of money fast.

I have never watched anything by Vivid. In my opinion, they're boring and doesn't generate enough heat for me. If I see the word Vivid on the box cover, I don't pick it up. As for it being an IR video, there are so many videos devoted to that genre, that it will most likely get lost in shuffle. For it to stand out, it has to be better than what's out there. What's so good about it is my question.

LOL, well now I know how people really feel. LOL. First and foremost I'm a gonzo performer ( 1/2 my work comes from RLD/PXP), and I can say with confidence, this was not a kissy kissy, love making scene. There were no S'mores roasting in a campfire while we snuggled in a sleeping bag. It was hard fucking, with plenty of anal. Again, all I can speak of is what I personally experienced. Maybee they are moving in a new direction, and hopefully, it's not too late for you guys to care.

Tyler don't take it personally. There are just some folks in the porn universe that are convinced that Vivid is racist and nothing you can say or do short of signing Heather Hunter to a contract will change their minds. Out of the 100+ titles that I own, maybe 10% are IR. For me it's always been about variety. I buy mostly for the the girls.
I just get a little tired of hearing guys call girls "IR-dodgers" and what-not.
I'm just glad to see companies like Vivid finally stepping up. They are still far from my favorite company, but at least they are making an effort. It might be a little too late for some, but at least it's progress.
You don't have to buy their product, but I don't think they should be condemned. This is the only way the rest of us can progress.

Frankly I don't care whether the scenes feature (make any combination you want out of the following choices)black, white, brown, green, blue, red, yellow, purple, or polka-dot man/black, white, brown, green, blue, red, yellow, purple, or polka-dot woman, as long as the sex is good. What does piss me off to no end is when fans get the attitude that who they want the performer to fuck takes precedence over who the performer wants to fuck.
Some fans have the mistaken impression that because they buy the product, they own the performer, this goes for IR, Anal, BG and everything else under the sun and moon. They also don't realize that this is a business first and foremost and any company that forgets that will not last long.

But don't complain about Vivid and these series. You complained when Vivid didn't shoot IR scenes, and now they're doing that and you still complain. I can't understand your attitude.

Like you said yourself, good porn is good porn and bad porn is bad porn. It is what it is. And if a scene is bad, then it's just bad, regardless of the color of the people performing in it. I am not going to watch crappy movies and scenes simply because they are IR. In my opinion, that's just stupid. Plus, I've noticed that alot of IR titles (at least American ones) are lacking the types of things I like to see in porn, which is mainly alot of rougher or harder sex. I'm actually of the opinion now that alot of the IR movies being released now are among the tamest out there. I guess some directors feel that IR in itself is already taboo enough, so let's not push the envelope too far by having it be IR and rough. With the exception of Jake Malone who has alot of rough IR oral sex in his 1 Lucky Fuck and Throat Gaggers series', I can't think of many other American directors who regularly incorporate this into their movies, not even alot of the black directors. Justin Slayer does it sometimes, but I'd like to see him do more of it. This is probably the reason that most of my favorite IR scenes, with the exception of many scenes by Lex and Justin, are not American IR scenes, but European ones, like by director Joachim Kessef for instance. Rocco also puts alot of rough IR scenes in his movies, as do Sineplex/Sinsational, one of my favorite studios. And unlike in American porno, the European ones don't place so much focus on the racial difference. All you get is a damn hot scene without all the repetitious juvenile mumbo-jumbo about race, which is better left out anyway. Evasive Angles is also decent, though I watch mostly only their Brazilian stuff. Aside from these and select few of others, most movies that market themselves solely on being IR have been disappointing to me if I'm looking for a movie that's just plain hot. I select my movies based on what I find to be quality, not on performer complexion. And I really think alot of American IR porn could stand to be of better quality.
