Anyway, I'm finding a fair number of sites which say something like "Windows Media Player required to play our videos". For example this is copied from the FAQ section of one website I saw today:I thought a wmv file is a wmv file is a wmv file, and it shouldn't matter what player I use, as long as it has the proper codecs and capability and etc. Why would a particular player be required? I don't get it. Is it a tricky way of saying they are using DRM? Anyone have insight on this? [Link] |
