I just got a new computer and work and absolutely hate the keyboard it came with. Doesn't feel right, constantly hitting wrong keys, etc. I'm kinda liking Logitech's Wave keyboard and am debating on whether or not I want to get it wireless or not. The mouse was an old fashioned ball type (even though it was wireless) and thus, I chose not to use it. The keyboard was amazingly functional. Obviously, I did have to change batteries sometimes but it wasn't too frequent. I don't remember ever having connectivity issues with that keyboard. I was sad when it died. 2. The second one was part of a Logitech wireless set I paid $40 for and it was a complete disaster! Connectivity issues every few minutes. Then, the keyboard simply stopped working and never worked again. The mouse was (barely) functional. The cursor (or whatever it's called) tended to drift for no earthly reason no matter where the wireless receiver was positioned or how many times I reset it. Right now, I'm using a corded HP keyboard that came with my first PC I bought in 2000. It's big, heavy, ugly, sometimes the cord gets in the way but it's never skipped a beat. The volume knob is missing. I was just thinking about the old fashioned keyboards that came with the old IBM clones in the 90s. I once bought five of them at a school auction for a quarter apiece. It just seems dumb to pay for all those batteries to be thrown away if you use the mouse and the keyboard in the same place/position all the time. If you are using the keyboard and/or mouse with a laptop you travel with, you have to take the batteries out for transport or your case will depress buttons and kill your batteries. Wireless keyboards and mice are luxuries but not on the order of, say, a remote control for your Amplifier. [Link] |

It might be best to unplug it and not use it as a stand and let the battery completely drain before recharging so it doesn't build up memory on the battery. The minimum time it will last with heavy usage is 1 month. [Link] |

It's a good keyboard because it's light as a feather, looks awesome, and has a very long battery life. It also comes with a 3 year factory warranty.Even though one may have a desktop, it's still useful just for the simple fact that there is no cord to restrict movement. It can be placed anywhere while not in use, and if someone has a setup where they use their TV as a monitor, this is perfect since it has great range. One caveat though, this is not recommended for gaming. They have other keyboards designed specifically for gaming.No worries. Bluetooth is actually quite safe, and Logitech uses encryption for their wireless keyboards. Check this out. Wireless keyboard security issues... P.S. The truth is that my diNovo Edge was bought by a relative for their appreciation of the many favors I provided. The relative was well aware of my disgust with the piece of garbage keyboard and asked me if there was a keyboard that I really wanted, which one would it be. I later e-mailed the Logitech link thinking there was no way they would cough up 200 bucks, but my help was appreciated enough to do it anyway. Of course I said that was too much, but it fell on deaf ears. I decided to help out and went Internet hunting. The initial price was $160 which was paid to an online vendor, but I also found a $30 discount coupon online which had to be submitted to Logitech along with the purchase info for reimbursement via a check in the mail that I had sent to my relative. When you break it down, 130 bucks isn’t bad. Of course I wish it were cheaper. If you look at the security, aesthetics, battery life, (up to 2 months with light use) 3 year factory warranty and the R&D that must have went into the design , it seems worth it, especially after using it.
