Someone like you and I together would not be compatible in a romantic relationship anyway, so the point is moot.

I actually started trying to explain what's wrong with the obsolete Madonna/Whore mentality, but I deleted it. I'd rather be watching porn than debunking social misconceptions.

Then you haven't been paying attention. Why don't you go over to Google and do a search?

Men are the sole motivator for strip clubs.

You've never heard of male strippers? Please stop characterizing your ignorance as fact. Thanks.

Male strippers? Are you kidding me. That is your argument. How many male strip clubs are there in America? From what I know there is no such thing as a male strip club. Yes, there are male strippers, but there are no strip clubs that cater to male nude dancing only. On occasions, strip clubs have male review night, but those happen on special occaions, not the norm.

I stand by my comment. fuck the google search, why should I do your reseach for you?? Again, men ususally committ sex crimes and women don't.

Obviously, you've never heard of Chippendales. I'm not sure how the number of them has relevance to your previous comment that Men are the sole motivator for strip clubs, or the general thrust of your comments, so I'm going to ignore the question.
If your inclusion of the word "again" indicates a belief that those two comments are the same, then that explains a lot. Your first comment indicates a belief that women do not commit sex crimes. Your second comment indicates a belief that women commit sex crimes less often than men do. They cannot both be true.

I didn't ask you to do it for me. I told you to do it for yourself. There's nothing inherently wrong with ignorance, after all we all start out knowing little about the world. However, "Fuck you, I don't care if I'm wrong" falls on the side of ignorance that I don't have much use for, so this is the last response you'll get from me unless I have to put on my moderator's hat.

Even though I'm sure FreedomFighter doesn't need anyone to speak for him, what I think he is basically trying to say is that men are libidinously stronger than women. After all, testosterone is the hormone that accounts for increased sex drives. Thus, it may seem unusual that women would watch porn for their own personal enjoyment. Personally, although I am sure there are women who do watch porn, most women I know are repulsed by it. And on the rare occasions you see women shopping for porn, they are almost always with a boyfriend/husband, and rarely alone.

As far as strippers go, as much as I hate to seem stereotypical, men and women seem to go see strippers for different reasons. Men generally go to strip clubs to get enjoyment out of seeing naked women perform for their entertainment. For women, it's kinda the same thing, but it's more for fun than anything else. Women seem to find enjoyment in just the fun of it all more so than actually seeing a half-naked man. At least that's the impression I get. While men look at female strippers and get aroused with sexual fantasies, women at male strip clubs seem to just have a ball being there with their friends. To women, the male stipper is just a source of fun entertainment rather than the sexual fantasy that the female stripper is to men. Again, sorry for the stereotypes, but that's just what I've noticed.

Realtip, I agree with your entire post. Nearly every word. But I don't think that was remotely what Freedom Fighter was saying. I think he was saying that men watch porn because they're perverts, and women that watch porn are truly deviant. He's wrong, but that was his point. Oh, and that any guy that would rather see a handsome man than an ugly slob in a porn scene is gay. We can't forget that.

When I see women shopping for porn they are usually in pairs, or sometimes in a trio. A man and woman shopping together is much rarer, though I admit I don't spend enough time in porn stores to have anything other than a vague idea of what the norm is.

However, I'm not sure that this phenomenon, to the extent it's true, doesn't have more to say about women's comfort level with porn stores than it does about their sex drives or attitudes toward sex films. Likewise, I'm not convinced that a man will get the same response as another woman will to the question about a woman's interest in porn. I'd hazard a guess that many women wouldn't admit such a thing to men because they're afraid of what men might think that gives them license to do.

PS - When talking about testosterone, or any other hormone, we need to bear in mind that individuals each have their own 'norm,' so it is possible for some women to have more testosterone than some men. And yes, women do have testosterone.

I liked my simple yet honest answer that I watch porn simply for the sex. The act turns me on and watching it turns me on. If that makes me a pig, I will be sure to fuck my man like one tonight: on my hands and knees grunting and snorting.

I wouldn't date you either, FF. I have a feeling you'd be intimidated when I turned you over, pulled your head back by the hair, then violated your tight ass with my largest strapon. If you're not into that, then you're no good for me anyway.

WTF? u think all women who watch porn are lesbians?

As a female Porn watcher...I watch porn to see the guys and the girls. I'm bisexual so i watch for both but mainly the guys. Most of all the guys in porn are nasty and digusting looking though. I only buy Justin Slayer and Lex Steele products because I think they are HoT and sexy. Watching them f*uck turn me on. I'm pertending that i'm the female in the scene.

U have more attractive females in porn than guys. I'm very picky when it some to Guys and girls. I only watch flicks with the stars that i like are in.

Since u saying that every female that watches porn is a lesbian....what about the dudes? hmmmmmm I bet most of u guys are at least Bisexual as well. Yall focus to much on penis size to be fully straight. Its creepy if u ask me.

I'm female and I watch porn only for the males. All those girls are just "stunt pussys" to me.
The men don't have to be extremely good looking-just very masculine-a well kept body-some muscles-clean hair and fingernails-self confident-turned on by girl so is hard right out of pants-and chest hair if possible.
See-I'm not picky.

I think lighting and make-up can make anything look better - failing that, you can always throw in a bowler hat for a twist on the ole in-out, in-out.

Another way to "fix" it is to consciously re-frame the scene, ie. change how you watch pornography (Erving Goffman's frames):

In other words, frames are basic cognitive structures which guide the perception and representation of reality. On the whole, frames are not consciously manufactured but are unconsciously adopted in the course of communicative processes. On a very banal level, frames structure, which parts of reality become noticed. For example, a group of persons lined up in an orderly fashion at the side of a road might evoke the frame "bus queue" in a passer-by. This particular frame structures perception in the way that attention is paid to the orderly arrangement of people in a line, which is one indicator of the "bus queue frame" and might have actually triggered it. The frame also directs attention to other latent frame elements, such as a bus stop sign. At the same time, it deflects attention from clothing style, body shape, or communications among the presumed prospective bus passengers. The adoption of frames is not immune to real world events. If a cab stops at the curbside in front of the line, chances are, the bus queue frame will become rejected and replaced by the "waiting for a taxi" frame.

Your revulsion may be averted by pretending - which is what watching porn is anyways. Do not try to flatten Ron's gut, that's impossible. Instead...only try to realize the truth. There is no revulsion. Then you'll see that it is not just Ron's beer gut that needs re-framing, it is yourself as well.

I'm surprised to read this. I wonder if there are many females who watch porn for the guys like you out there? This might be growing trend.

It must be frustrating when the camera person cuts off the guys' heads and only shows their torso!

Everyone's sexuality is unique. No one can have the exact same preferences as another person.

Why do some men think that women in general are not visually stimulated by naked men?

I would like to say that some women are very visually stimulated by looking at naked men. The difference between men and women is that women have more control over their sexual desires. Also, society has always attempted to repress women from expressing themselves sexually without be labeled as a "slut" or a "whore".

Also, male heterosexuality is NOT defined by the degree a man is repulsed by male nudity(your own gender) nor how often you say "your porn selection is based solely on the female performers".

If I buy a video to see a hung stud fuck the women of my dreams, I'm gay! Only an asshole would say that. Truly laughable!! I guess most of the world is gay. I don't know there are over 4 billion people on the planet if that's that case.

Yes, when I select a porno, the featured male performers will play a big role in my selection. No small dicks allowed! I don't like watching a hot woman getting fucked with an average/small dick.

In real life, I want a woman that loves to look at naked a man. I want a real heterosexual women. Not a lesbian, not an asexual women, but a sexy woman who loves a big dicked stud.

I'm not repulsed by naked man. For crying out loud, I AM A MAN. Why would I be repulsed by what I am? I got a dick. Why would a typical naked men repulse me (unless they look like Ron Jeremy)?

You don't find this this expressed aversion to male nudity by heterosexual men in other parts of the world such as Europe. Not all men in North America express their repulsion to male nudity, but it seems to be fashionable for the average North American male to say "YUCK, male nudity (running with fear)!" Why not just act nonchalantly?
You're not more heterosexual by making it a point to say how repulsed you are to male nudity. If male nudity repulses so many men, how do they tolerate their own naked bodies/dicks and watch naked men in porn all the time?

I find that many North American men are uncomfortable with their bodies/sexuality. Thank God I'm not like that.

By the way, I don't watch porn that features women with small titties. What a turn-off!!!!

I gotta agree with basically everything Dave said. There are alot more guys out there these days compared to the smaller group that seemed to be in every scene back in tha day. But those guys had more ability to do what needed to be done (and in a timely manner). I've always thought the most intimidating factor to doing porn would not be premature ejaculation - but getting hard on cue and cumming when needed!

A lot of people seem to have a problem with Blue Pill use.

Why? These are performances.

As long as the guys' cocks are hard enough to give the girls a good and proper fucking, who cares how they got that way?

Well, maybe the female viewers do. Never mind.

(However, it seems to me that breast implants involve a much higher degree of medical intervention to achieve the "desired" effect.)

I've noticed this as well, but it goes back to what I was also saying before about how women seem to be more into these things for fun rather than sexual fantasy. Most guys do not shop for porn in groups. They go into the store alone, discreetly pick out what they want, pay for it and leave. With women who shop with their friends, I've noticed that they talk and laugh about the movies, decide with one another on what to get, and they hardly ever go for the more "popular" titles. In most cases, it seems obvious that they're shopping for some type of wild female gathering, such as a bachelorette party or something, etc. Again, although I am not denying that women watch porn, just like with watching strippers, I think women are into it for different reasons than men.
A man may not come out and openly admit to everyone he watches porn, but his response will typically not be one of repulsion and disgust to it. On the other hand, alot of women react to porn as if they've just seen a 500 year-old rotten corpse. Plus, I doubt if it's always because they're afraid of men's reactions. I've been in settings with women who have absolutely no fear of discussing sex openly, some are even more outspoken on sex than men are (actually, I am convinced that women do talk about sex more than men anyway). But when it comes to the issue of porn, I've noticed that even alot of the most sexually outspoken women I know will not understand why people like watching porn.

By the way, it is true that women do have *some* testosterone, but their levels are much significantly lower than they are in men; even miniscule compared to men.

Moreover, I kinda have to agree that I don't understand women who say they watch porn to see men, especially since the men are not the main focus of straight porn. In fact, their faces are hardly ever even shown, and alot of the boxcovers now don't even credit the male talent. The main focus of straight porn is on the woman. And there is a good reason for this. The people who make straight porn know that their main consumer base is men.

Let's take other products for example. Why is it that cleaning products always advertise to women? Why is it that women are always the ones in the commercials for Mr. Clean, Lysol, Clorox, etc? It's because the advertisers know that women are generally the ones who do all the house-cleaning. It does not mean that men do not also clean. But on the overall scale, women are the main ones who purchase these products. Also, why do beer advertisements always appeal mainly to men? Men are always the ones in the Budweiser, Heineken, Michelob, etc., commercials, and the only women you see in these commercials are in bikinis (appealing to the male fantasy). Again, this does not mean that women do not drink beer because I know many who do. However, the advertisers know that men are mainly the ones who purchase beer.

It's the same thing with porn. Yes, there are women who like to watch porn, but their numbers pale in comparison to the number of men who watch it. Porn companies may focus on the man just enough to appease their small female base, but they are going to focus much more on the woman becasue they know that there are alot more men buying their product than women. I'm actually wondering what type of porn these women are watching that focuses so much on the men. Outside of the realm of gay porn, I doubt if there is much porn that focuses on men.

I'm a long time lurker, but I had to respond to this one. I'm a straight female and I also watch porn for the guys.

For me, personality is a bigger turn-on then looks. I like watching the type of people that I would be most likely to spend time with in the real world...due to this, I usually don't enjoy scenes with GQ cover-like guys….the attitude is too much. I'd much rather watch a scene with an older (than me), normal looking man. Guys that have been around and know what they're doing...like Randy Spears, Steven St. Croix, etc. You know that you're going to get a good scene with them, be it sex or acting. (Yes, I'm one of the five people in the world that actually enjoys watching the dialogue scenes…some of the comedic features have funnier lines then mainstream comedies.)

To respond to a question asked in a previous post, it does get frustrating when they forget to film a guys face for an entire scene, or focus solely on the female for more than three quarters the length of the scene. It's also extremely annoying when they leave a guys name off the box cover and interview all the women and none of the men for the BtS stuff. Some companies are worse then others with this, which is why I tend to stick to watching features put out by a select list of companies. Unfortunately for those of us that watch porn for the guys, it's all about the money, and our segment is way too small to provoke any type of change in the industry.

threesomebody and ladies puleese,

Dicknjane have not visited this thread for several days and there is a war of words going on. I think you have driven poor Freedom Fighter off the air. Jane agrees with much of what Freedom Fighter said. Porn is too much aimed at jerk off guys and there are lotsa jerk off women and hetero women nowadays who enjoy watching porn. I don't know who Freedom Fighter dates other than his right hand, but he needs to get into the 21st century and so do porn directors.

Threesomebody is there anyway you can post pictures of you in that position on all fours. I would like for Jane to copy the pose. Meanwhile she says she is headed to get a strap-on to copy that other move.

This thread is entertaining ... but it was hotter when FF was insulting everybody on the planet.

Scipio,

With all do respect, you are late to this party and Elvis Freedom Fighter has already left the building. I tend to agree with realtip on this one. We should be able to disagree with one another here and have debate as long as it is not getting too personal without being silenced or censored by the mods. Without a little controversy and debate these threads become repetitive and boring and they die off. I think this one was half dead when Freedom Fighter revived it.

I agree with some of what Freedomfighter said. More men are twisted than women are. When's the last time you saw a woman become a trans-sexual or a crossdresser? You don't see it. You believe that there are guys who put on womens' pantyhose on for kicks?

That's because women have their priorities in order better than men do. Women are driven by maternal instinct and men are driven by power and sex.

I read an interview with a porn actress (I forget who it was, it might have been on Rog Pipe's webpage) but she said that some of these male porn actors are just life-support systems for their penises.

That's a stereotypical statement to make. I agree with FreedomFighter's implication that men are more libidinous than women are, but not that men are any more "twisted" than women, whatever you mean by that. Women can be just as perverse as men can be. In fact, one terrible stereotype that has existed throughout history is that men somehow have the market cornered on perversion, and that couldn't be more untrue. Men may have higher sexual drives, but having higher sexual drives does not equate to having a higher tendency for perversion. In other words, it is crazy to assume that one sex is any more "twisted" than the other. A man can be just as "twisted" as a woman, and vice-versa.

Plus, there are indeed women who become transsexuals, i.e., women who undergo procedures, whether surgical or otherwise, to change their sex or gender. Plus, women cannot exactly "cross-dress" in the same way that men do because our society does not assign the same stigma to women who "cross-dress." In other words, a woman can wear her husband's clothes and no one will think anything of it. For example, I've had girlfriends, female relatives, and female friends borrow and wear my ties, shirts, sweaters and sweatpants, T-shirts, etc., and it is considered perfectly normal. Conversely, if I were to wear any of their clothes (which I've never done by the way), I would be considered a "cross-dresser" and people would look at me strangely. Thus, in it's application, the term "cross-dresser" only applies to men anyway, and never to women, even though women also do it.

That is another stereotypical myth. There is nothing biologically in women that makes them innately maternal (outside of their natural ability to bear children), or in any way more loving and sensitive than men. Are women not also driven by power? Again, men do not have the market cornered on being power-hungry. History proves this repeatedly. By the way, what are these priorities that women supposedly have so much more in order than men do?

Speaking of gross guys in porn, I interviewed male performer Kris Roc, who has performed in several JM Productions bukkakes and he commented that a lot of the guys were actual former convicts. In addition, many had odor problems and as a result, JM put 'take a shower before' as one of the rules on the bukkake hotline. You can listen to him talk about it here. Click here He says some very revealing things.

Show me a line of work where there are not people who are former convicts. The key word is "former". If you were telling me that they are current criminals and wanted in 12 states, that would be another story. Hell, my hairdresser did a few years in the slammer before getting his shit together. If a girl wears a man's shirt or tie or trousers it's usually for a fashion statement and not for a cheap thrill.

You never hear of a woman stalking someone in a park and raping and slashing their throats. (Albeit, there are the Andrea Yates who most likely was insane when she committed the act(s).)

Womens' hormones (ie. estrogen) gives them more of a maternal instinct than a paternal instinct in men. I think woman on a whole are more rational than men (sure you meet both men and women who aren't rational) and are better equipped to deal with relationships than men are.

One thing we've noticed is that certain porn director/stars run together and appear in one another's films. You see one of their films and you've seen them all. If any of them get in another studio's film without "the gang", they can act different and do a pretty good job, but when they are with their "rat pack" you know what you're going to get and it fits in with this thread "WTF is wrong with male actors today".

Totally, D&J. That's an excellent point. Maybe the professionalism slips a notch when guys are working with their buddies. I'm sure they're conscious of time and money, but the spirit might be more like a pick-up game of hoops (with the girl being the ball), than a professional set. I've never been on a porn set, so that's speculation.

Geez! In this thread alone, 3sb has found at least three ways to totally turn me on.

Let's see if I had to answer the original question what would the answer be?

1. It's the directors that cause the guys to do things that turn me off.
2. The guys are too mechanical, are going through a routine and don't convince me they are having any fun.
3. The guys don't convince me they are interested in getting the women excited, getting the women off or being a truly good fucker.
4. If the guys say something to the girls or direct them to do something or tell them how to do it, it is always a turnoff that convinces me #3 is right on.
5. The guys always convince me they are doing things they are told to do to the women and not that this is any kind of mutually satisfying, spontaneous sex.
6. The guys convince me that, if women weren't getting paid to fuck them, they would never get a piece of ass or be a threat to steal anyone's wife or girlfriend so that's a good thing.

Not all directors or porn guys fit this description, but it covers a lot of the gonzo stuff which is what we like to watch best.

I actually do think the male talent is VERY important (beyond his ability to perform, which is an obvious prerequisite for porn). It does matter whether or not he looks like a guy who could bag the chicks that he's banging.

I don't mind if I seem a little gay(ish) for my opinions. Obviously, porn is one of those things where every man watching is going to mentally superimpose himself over the guy who's in the film. Some of us (who may not be studs IRL) may have aspirations of being studly. I know that in all my fantasies, I'm not an out of shape 30 something guy with a bad haircut and a 5 O clock shadow. I'm a stud in my fantasies! LOL!

Some guys in porn just don't know how to fuck and most especially, how to convey the sense that they're enjoying themselves to the viewer. OK...so he has a boner so he's obviously having fun but I think, usually, it takes more than just displaying or keeping your wood (although that obviously helps) to convey what you're feeling, thinking and/or how much you're enjoying yourself.

It does bother me if I'm watching a scene with an unbelievably hot girl, who I've seen in other flicks and I know she can put on a good show, and the dude is semi hard. The guys who can't get and keep good wood just shouldn't be working in porn (not as a performer anyway). If he usually performs and he's just having a bad day, the scene should be scrapped and the producer should just swallow the expense (as hard as that may be and I have no doubt that it is). If I rent or buy a flick that disappoints me, I might rent another one by the same company with the same talent but if I get two or three disappointing titles in a row, I cut my losses and move on. One of my biggest pet peeves is poor male talent. When everything else is exactly right (and it seems to be on a depressingly regular basis), poor male talent can completely ruin a potentially great flick.

I want to see a guy who'll just dive in there and lap up the sex the way I would (or at least, the way I would in my ideal fantasy) if I got so lucky as to have a one night stand with someone like Jenna Haze.

And let's face it guys...big cocks really are better for porn. True, not every man has or needs a big cock but porn is a visual medium. But it does turn me on a lot more to see a hottie swallowing a big, HARD dick than a small, semi hard dick. Just being honest. I'm a porn fan. You watch porn, you're gonna see a lot of dicks one way or another. They might as well be the best cocks in the business.

The following is from interviews of 2 very established male pornstars. Their job is NOT a piece of cake.
1st performer
"The male performers have the toughest job. No matter what their mood or who they're faced with, they have to get off. To be considered a good stud you can't be human. The men have to get an erection and an orgasm even in the face of extreme adversity, including drunk girls, stoned girls, hostile girls, sick girls, complaining girls, bitchy girls and ugly girls. You [the male performer] have to become jaded because you have to f--- too many times when you're not in the mood."

"The mental trick is learning how to have sex morning or night, early or late, hot or cold, hungry or tired, rent overdue, cat sick, mom died, car broke down. You're not allowed to be human. You don't get to come home from a hard day's work and have a girlfriend and get all cuddly and lovey. And after a while you start dredging up weirder and weirder fantasies to get you through it."

2nd performer
As a performer, I would have to say that the hardest thing to overcome is the girls that you don't want to have sex with. You have to stay hard for the girls you're not really attracted to. But brand-new girls are popping up every day, and they're all hot and pretty, so it doesn't happen as much as it used to. When I was performing more, they were all the same girls, and they were older.

"To perform you have to make your own fantasies. The nastiest taboos you can think of will usually work best."

Hi and thanks for the reply. I think that's what I was getting at in my post. Indeed, the women are always important but you don't have much of a porn flick without the men.....and they have to be consistantly good performers.

I KNOW for a fact that I couldn't do it so kudos to all the men who can and do. I think it's pretty easy for us men to sit out here and say we'd love to have that job and it must be a piece of cake. I couldn't do it because I'm the type of guy who HAS to be in the mood or it just ain't gonna happen.....no matter how pretty she is, how sexy she is or even how much I want her. If I'm in the wrong mood, it's impossible.

And all of those things in your post were very good points. The men HAVE to be almost superhuman. A man can't fake it, no matter what. It just isn't possible.

I'm sure I thought of that a few times in the past but since you posted that, it really can't be emphasized enough that those guys who DO ALWAYS perform really do earn their pay. Peter North comes to mind. I guess it's possible he's had bad days behind the scenes but I've never seen him really falter much in any scene. He's not one of my favorite male performers but he seems to be very consistant. Rocco's another. I don't know what the hell he does for stamina but he ALWAYS performs and performs extremmely well.

I agree that one would have to have a very good and active imagination and other mental abilities in order to be such a reliable performer as even some of the lesser known porn studs. Most men in porn perform better than I would and probably better than most of the rest of the male population would.

Random,

I agree with everything you and Aztec have said. The hardest job in porn is definitely the male porn star's job. Having said that, the reason anybody gets and can do any job is because they are good at it. Porn men and women are no different in that regard .... they are paid professionals. Professionals in any "sport" are in a highly competitive environment even though they do things most "spectators" can't. Porn spectators are no different - we take what porn stars are able to do for granted and want them to do even more. I want the men and women not only to go through the motions, I also expect it to make sense, to flow smoothly and look like it is passionate sex between two or more people who are visibly turned on by what they are doing. I didn't say I could do it or it was easy ... it's just what would make my enjoyment of porn that much better. Nobody in any job gets much sympathy from people for how hard their job is. Usually there is someone else who would love to have that job if they quit and if they had better choices, they wouldn't be where they are doing what they are doing.
