That is to say, the fact that you received a bad disk doesn't seem sufficient reason to decide that you don't want to own the movie. From the seller's perspective, it suggests that you just wanted to make a copy of the disc for free. Sure, the disc is corrupt now, but who is to say that it was corrupt when you got it? [Link]
