Nina Hartley would be an inspired choice for Marge. But WTF? How do you cast Bart, Lisa and Maggie. Seriously? Vince V as Bart; Kimberly Kane as Lisa and even I, suffering from Porn Drift, couldn't even contemplate a Maggie. Come On. Most of the porn shops in my area stopped stocking the majority of them quite some time ago. The aren't renting and they aren't selling. I watch flicks mostly for the girls. If the girl I like is in the movie I'll rent the damn thing...parody or not. But most other people aren't like that. Now if there's a parody that one of the girls I like is in chances are I won't be able to see it. The store clerks and owners tell me the customers hate them because they are so hokey and just plain bad they stopped bringing in most of them. I couldn't find one store anywhere near me that had the Wonderwoman parody starring Tori Black. That just tells you how bad it's gotten, when stores DON'T want to stock a flick with Tori Black on the cover. [Link]

Click to expand They did something similar at a shop I go to. So many parodies were coming out, they just said screw it, and they gave it it's own section. I'm not totally against parodies (they've been around forever), but it seems like it it's getting a little out of hand. I also think it's lazy film making. [Link]

I mean look at the Elvis parody (please, actually, DON'T look at it) -- how do they get these actors to DO this stuff? I will, however, occasionally rent a parody if there's someone in it I want to see. Dana Dearmond has a couple coming out, including a Star Trek parody that I might take a look at just to see her as Ensign Ro. What I'm afraid of, however, is that it will be horrible and I'll feel cheated. I like porn with a story line if it's well written and the Director knows what he/she is doing. Most parodies miss that mark by several miles. [Link]

Click to expand This isn't really directed at you...but I don't get why so many people are upset by parodies being made. It's not like a Simpsons or Elvis parody being made is affecting stuff from Jules Jordan, Evil Angel, Brazzers, Bang Bros, etc..It's also not like you suddenly can't see your fav girl in other movies because she's too busy starring in parodies. Pardodies are basically an offshoot of features. If you don't like features you aren't going to like parodies. For people who like porn with stories I'd imagine they'd be bigger fans of parodies. If I was into features I'd have to imagine parodies would be fun because if I'm watching porn for story I'd be just as happy (or happier)with a story doing a send up of a tv show as I would with some original story the writer came up with that probably isn't half as interesting or entertaining. For the performers I'd have to think it would be fun to play people from tv and movies than the generic secretary, cheerleader, MILF next door they've been doing over and over again. For directors in must be fun trying to recreate those shows/movies instead of the generic scenes they've done thousands of times. Even though I've only seen 3 or so parodies and they weren't my preference they usually look fun. They also tend to look better than the average porn movie. If they started or I come across a company handling parodies the way I'd like them to be done I'm probably be a big fan of them. [Link]

I will say at least from our perspective at X-Play and sitcums.com it takes an extreme amount of effort and money to do them well. Anybody can shoot a piece of S*%# and put it out there but if you want it to look, feel and sound right it really does take dedication and hard work (and for the parody haters- it does take talent from the producers the director and the actors although you will never agree with that lol). I don't understand the complete hatred for the genre by many of you but I support your right to voice your dislike of them. I agree there are way too many of them out there and I have seen a ton of them from many companies and many are not really that good but some are incredibly good with excellent performances. So I wouldn't paint the entire parody pack with a huge broad brush because just like gonzo or feature porn- there is a wide degree of the good the bad and the ugly. I personally have enjoyed making parodies like Not the Bradys XXX and our upcoming Rocky parody but I will say it was much more fun before the industry jumped on the bandwagon and made them as common as a barn fly. Like anything, the industry beat it into submission and sadly free porn has made it more difficult to take expensive risks to create new movies. That is why you see some cheaply made parodies these days and fewer quality jobs but that might be a good thing for those that do not like them (ie: meaning they will go away). At X-Play we have really cut back our new production schedule because I refuse to compete with the financial market and reduce our budgets as I prefer to always put out the best product we can but the current market puts the entire game into reverse.
