I noticed 2 things last night when I went to AdultDVDEmpire. com

1) You can no longer look at back covers unless you have a credit card verify that your over 18. (Bu**shit)

2) I guess they took any video off that had the word fuck in it. That Fuckin' sucks. Skeeter, I'm here for you if you need back up when you go to their offices and kick their asses.

Maybe you should do a little more research before posting an hypothesis on why a retailer removed an item. I found 139 DVDs with the word fuck in them when I searched their site a few minutes ago.

The back cover viewing credit card requirement has been covered many times in the shopping forum lately and has been in place on their site since sometime in June.

Anyway, Skeeter is a nice guy. He doesn't strike me as the type that would kick someone's ass because they don't like his product. (Unless of course that someone is Roger Pipe, then he might work him over real good just for sport. )

So what's the reason why ADE doesn't sell anymore movies from Skeeter Kerkove? I remember Skeeter saying they're too hardcore for ADE. I don't understand this because they're obviously allowed by law so what's the problem with ADE?

ADE sucks anyway, they don't deserve your money. Shop somewhere else where they don't make you feel like a criminal because you buy porn. They'll learn the hard way, mostly due to this box cover/screenshot nonsense.
The most unfriendly customer site I've ever seen.
I almost get the feeling like they think THEY are doing YOU a favour by you shopping there, what a joke. I wouldn't be surprised if they are owned by Vivid.

I admit I'm not a fan of ADE either because their internationally shipping costs are way too high and also because one time they shipped me a wrong movie so they wrote that they would send me the right one but only if I send them back the wrong DVD back BUT I had to pay for the shipping. I found that very unfair because they sent the wrong movie and I had to pay for it. I never ordered from them again because they should have paid for the shipping back or let me keep the wrong DVD, that would have been fair.

I moved this thread because it's turning into more of a shopping thread than a discussion of a movie.
Empire still sells plenty of Skeeter's movies. They have not removed everything of his.

It all boils down to community standards. Empire is being cautious by not selling certain items that very well could be considered obscene in some areas, you can't blame them for that. IMO they are being smart about this.

Some of you think that it's your god given right to buy your favorite double-everything stroke flick whenever and from whomever your heart desires. Some are further compelled to bash on retailers that won't sell the stuff you're interested in. What's the point? Go buy it elsewhere or point people in another direction. There's plenty of other places it's still available.

Before you shoot your mouth's off about companies not selling certain movies please take a little time and read The Government vs. Erotica. Many people posting in the forum here haven't been porn fans long enough to know what happened in the 80s.

Skeeter is not the only I see. They also removed all the movies from JM Productions and Max Hardcore and they also don't sell the I Love It Rough movies from Platinum X. They're really cleaning house I guess.

I doubt many online stores will do the same as ADE, at least I hope Lasersedge doesn't because I buy almost all my movies there.

Well, there will be always European online stores to order from who don't have to worry about American laws ;-)

For mainstream titles, DVD Empire rules. I've had nothing but positive experiences with this company.

As for "adult" titles, the company has removed all titles featuring the narrowly focused niche that interests me the most. And, as per the suggestion posted previously in this thread, I have taken my business elsewhere as a result (Adult DVD Now, AdultCDmovies, Jaded, and a few import houses).

Remember, the parent company, DVD Empire, has a lot to lose if it gets embroiled in a money-draining community-standards litigation. Most other online porn dealers aren't subsidiaries of a larger mainstream store.

Nobody is preventing you from seeing clusterfuck. A private business made a decision to lessen their risk. This does not prevent you from buying the movie elsewhere.

Please try to act like civil, mature adults.

ADE is located in Pennsylvania - Tom Ridge's stomping grounds. And the governmental pendulum is swinging more and more in the conservative direction. The repugnants in charge of the current administration have already made veiled (and not so veiled) threats in the pornography direction and you had better believe they intend to take action when they feel the time is appropriate (meaning when they have replaced a few members of the supreme court with clones of Scalia and Thomas).

I don't blame ADE for girding its loins.

If they are that scared of local laws, they should move out of Pennsyvania and to a more porn friendly state. If it's their location that's preventing them from selling certain titles (or making them afraid to) go where it's more friendy to run this type of business, I know I would.

The repugnants in charge of the current administration don't consider state boundaries as being pertainent. Porn is evil. Porn should be suppressed. Breasts should be covered at all times. Just ask attorney general John Ashcroft.

That would be a valid answer if they were a brick & mortar video store. They would only need to worry about the community standards of the location of the store. However, since they ship all around the country, the community standards of the locations to where they ship are now an issue. Essentially, the home of everybody who orders from them becomes ADE's location for the purpose of obscenity.

There are many places around the country where the titles that they are dropping may be considered obscene. Trying to keep track of what they shouldn't ship to where would be virtually impossible.

ADE appears to be rather conservative regarding the chances that they want to take. They are probably the best known e-tailer that sells adult product (possible due to their mainstream DVD presence). Because of this, they could be the biggest target if some D.A. decides to make waves. I can't say that I blame them. The plus side to selling everything doesn't outweigh the potential minus side if they were to have to face prosecution. Even if they won, the legal costs could cripple them.

Therefore, they have two choices. They can either not ship anything to those locations, or they can drop the titles that may be objectionable in those locations. ADE has recently been adding more locations to which they do not ship (there are a few threads here complaining about that). I wouldn't be at all surprised if, once ADE cleans house of "questionable" titles, they were to begin shipping to some of these locations again.

Edited for spelling

I'm not American so you guys would know better than I would. But don't Ashcroft and his cronies think ALL porn is evil and should be stamped out? So whether it's one of Skeeter's movies, an Evil Angel movie, or a even a Vivid movie, they'll find a reason to go after it anyway. Hell, anal is stil illegal in some states no? They could grab a best of Janine lesbo title where she fingers some girls ass and prosecute for that.
Eventually ADE will be selling nothing but mainstream titles if they keep this up.
Do they screen every new title that they get instock? That's a lot of porn to screen for obscene acts. I don't see any difference between Skeeter's stuff and Joey's over at Evil Angel. As far as the style of sex that's shot, lots of hair pulling, spitting, a little choking etc. They are real close in terms of rough content to me. If they don't sell Skeet's stuff, I find it strange that they still sell Joey's.

Maybe they just look at the boxcover and that's how they judge it. I mean Joey's boxcovers are a lot tamer than Skeeter's boxcovers for example.

Btw, I noticed they also don't sell ANY Extreme Associates movies, not even the tamer ones like the movies from Tom Byron or Mike Stephano.

That could be for various reasons, such as Extreme Associates is falling apart and is no longer able to ship product. Tom Byron did go start his own company due to the demise of Extreme.

Nacho's Back 2 Evil has also been pulled. Looks like they're reacting to content rather than any specific director or studio.

Ramsey does make a good point about boxcovers. The Back 2 Evil cover shows Nacho choking a girl.
And as far as the Extreme Associates dvds go, the last 5 titles of theirs that I rented would not play through the whole movie. They have a major quality control situation over there and maybe ADE got sick of people returning discs that won't play all the way through. I don't buy any of there stuff any more because of it. It got to the point where I would rent a title first just to see if the run of discs was okay, after 5 bad rentals in a row of defective discs I said to hell with it and don't even bother anymore with their movies. It's too bad though, some of their early stuff was good, but they fucked up a lot of it when it went to dvd.

I was curious about some missing titles in series that Empire has been carrying, and I guess this explains why.

For example, they have almost every volume of Chasing the Big Ones, except 17. Must be some issue there. Also, the Sineplex No Limits titles are not sold there.

I totally agree with their right to make these decisions. The only bummer is that I like to sell used DVDs to Used DVD Empire, and they only buy back DVDs that DVD Empire sells. I'm glad I sold them some of my Extreme Associates titles a while back.

I'd rather see studios tone down the names of titles and make less explicit boxcovers than see good stores not stock such titles.

I think Bill mentioned in another thread, and he's correct in saying so, that a local or state prosecutor can make a case for anything that they feel is obscene. No particular kind of content is any safer than any other. A city attorney in Texas (I think it was Houston, but I don't remember clearly.) brought obscenity charges against a comic book store for selling an 'adult' Japanese manga book. Mind you it was kept in an 'adults only' part of the store, and was not out for display to the general public.

You've noted, and I'm often puzzled by it as well, the seeming inconsistencies between material that companies will consider 'safe' and 'risky'. My personal puzzlement is the number of companies that feel fisting is too risky, but will put out an entire series titled "Gangbanged High School Babysitters" (I made that up, please don't tell me it really exists....).

People just make some stance to contain risk as they see it, and there's no guarantee that they'll see it the same way you or I do.

I see what you mean Scott. I'm in Toronto and find it weird that fisting is legal here but not in the US. On the other hand you guys can show the total degradation of a girl, including violence and that's okay, but fist a girls pussy and all hell breaks loose (see Seymore's legal problems).
But up here degradation and violence of any kind (when associated with porn) is edited by the film board, but fisting is okay.
I don't have to worry about censorship up here becuase there are one or two really good online stores that get me the discs I want. Same with the local stores up here. The time it takes to get a movie accepted by the baord can be a long time, so the video stores say we're not waiting 5 months for titles to be released, they get the stuff straight from the US and there is lots of it here.
I just wish a studio in Canada would start releasing fisting on dvd, nobody really capitalizes on it's legality here, and the ones that do are of poor quality. All of the decent stuff is on vhs which is too bad.

Skeeter Kerkove here, serving God, Country and pornography!
My Clusterfuck titles were removed because they are really wild. My gangbangs start off with full on bondage, then go into the most aggressive sex ever done in gangbangs. Other gangbangs will not be removed, because they are not as hardcore as mine, I fully understand anybody not wanting to sell them anymore. I am very grateful that Adult DVD Empire sold 1000 of them in 5 months.
Anybody who still wants to buy my God Forsaken Clusterfucks, can still find them all over the web.
My gangbangs have leashes, collars, handcuffs, wrist restraints, all fetish clothing, 8 fingers going into an ass, sometimes with 8 fingers in an ass and 8 in the pussy at the same time, sometimes 4 toys are put into a girls ass. They are differant, they are not for everybody.
For straight forward gangbangs, no fetish, toys incorporated, or stuff like I shoot, hands down
Red Light and Anabolic do the very best, straight forward gangbangs, no going off track like I do. I am a mother fu**ing wingnut! I lost my mind a long time ago. That is why I still pan handle and collect aluminum cans from Red Light Districts trash cans. Sometimes Dion has been known to give me a dollar bill, so I can go get a fresh cup of coffee. For that, I am always grateful.
Skeeter Kerkove "reeling in the years" Porn producer, director, performer. I am a huge fan of hardcore porn and I love all of the women in porn. "God Bless Pornography" A womans ass is a beautiful thing" Woman rule!

FYI Drew, Extreme is open for business and shipping product
every day. Rob is simply not shooting any new productions
until he gets caught up on DVD's and gets some revenue flowing to pay for this ridiculous obscenity prosecution.

I didn't start Evolution due to any fabled "demise" of
Extreme. I started Evolution because I wanted my product
to be available to whoever wanted it, and the word "Extreme"
kept me out of certain venues. Extreme was no longer just
the name of a company, it described a whole genre of porn.
Even though my movies were no more "Extreme" than any of
my contemporaries,(RLD,PXP,Evil, etc.) in many cases LESS
extreme, distributors like AdultDVDEmpire and others would
pass on it due to the association with Extreme.

It's rather disheartening that we live in a country where
our freedom and livelihoods are threatened whenever a shitbag Republican sits his self-righteous ass in the White
House. PLEASE people, get out and vote this cocksucker out!

Hope this clears up some of the confusion.

Tons of titles were removed from ADE's
stock recently, not only Extreme &
Skeeter's movies. Even Red Light
& other well-known companies.

I abhor censorship especially when it
cums to Porn! But I do understand
ADE's final decision of not carrying
certain "objectional" movies.

Just so I'm clear on this, not selling an item equals censorship now too?
