I figure that most folks around here saw a Playboy or Penthouse as your first photos of nude female hotties. Do you remember the issue/Playmate/centerfold?
Mine was an issue of Playboy from 1982 with Anne Marie Fox as the sexy model.. not sure if she was the Playmate of the Month though. It explains why I"m fond of legwarmers on ladies, though!

Found this one in the garage when I was 9 years old. I thought Dad was a perv and immediately informed Mom about it. She laughed at me. Will never forget it or the Playboy issue.

i was 10 or 11...i stole a playboy from local newsagent
i remember Samantha Fox ( 80s english pop singer/celeb) on the cover
i hid it inside my dads mower in the catcher, which worked well till he got suspicious why all my mates were coming over to look at the mower lol
got caught and grounded for a week and they made me go back to the shop and apologise
humiliating but glad they did

Excellent replies! Nice to see that everybody has a different era/magazine that was their first.
For mine, our next door neighbor got the magazine from his dad and showed it to us...
The first one that I personally bought myself was a "Hardbodies" newstand photo-only special, which I still own.

Was there a magazine called "Petistic" or something? Maybe I'm just thinking of Hustler/Penthouse. I was pretty damn young when I first saw some stuff so I can't remember them at all, but it was probably back in ~1996.
A friend gave me a Penthouse back in my first job in late high school, Brittney Skye was in it, I remember that heh.
Think I'm a different era than some of you guys, lol.

^ Your's is probably the last generation to get introduced to porn through magazines. I started look at porn on the internet sometime in the mid-90's.
VCR's came out when I was in my early 20's, but I wouldn't have taken advantage of them as a teenager anyway. Frankly, I wasn't going to whack it in my parent's living room.

Interesting observation, and probably quite true! Imagine the horror of the poor saps who were introduced to sexual images with Tijuana Bibles!

In the early 70s, I found an issue of Penthouse near a cemetary. Not sure which one. Later, my folks let my brother and I keep a stash in our closet. I seem to remember Lillian Mueller being my favorite playmate to draw. I also have fond pictorial memories of Marilyn Cole, Barbi Benton, many others that followed.

Spent a lot of time ripping out pics from Playboy and Penthouse at my local borderswhen I was 12. Lol. But my first I owned was in 1998. It was a special edition playboy meaning it was all pics. I loved it. T

This should be in polls.
The answer's too complicated. So I'll go with this. For me it wasn't a pure men's magazine, it was The National Lampoon. It was a humor magazine so it was often shelved next to MAD magazine and Cracked, and teens like me could buy it without raising an eyebrow because most people had no idea there was full-frontal nudity and sexually explicit writing inside.
NL-1.jpg
That's from the first issue I ever saw. Made my eyes pop like a rat-fink cartoon. It opened the door to a world I never really knew existed.

There's a 2nd photo-funnies that I didn't scan, so that's partly what it's talking about. But yeah, FOTO FUNNIES often made no sense. It was usually just a way to get huge-boobed models into the studio.
The P.J. she refers to was the new Editor-in-Chief, PJ O'Roarke. Same guy who is now a conservative essayist/humorist. PJ had an eye for the ladies.

Can't remember my exact first Penthouse, but as a teen in the late 70s, I loved Penthouse; they were at the top of their game in photography. In particular, I really liked Victoria Lynn Johnson. Wow, I wish she had done at least a couple of scenes. Alas, she only did a few shoots for Penthouse.

In the mid-late 70's, Penthouse and Playboy were my first and only porn experiences. Penthouse was my favorite because of the Forum and the models were generally naughtier; simply, in Garpian terms, Penthouse showed split beaver while Playboy was just beaver, although for a ragingly hormonal teenage boy that distinction wasn't overwhelmingly significant - pussy, tits, curves it was all just a blur of five finger madness.
My First Penthouse - February 1976
Penthouse February 1976.jpg
My First Playboy - November 1976
Playboy November 1976.jpg
My Favorite Playboy - December 1977
Playboy December 1977.jpg
All added up, the pictorial 'The Playmate House Party You Didn't See On TV' fueled weeks of total wanking time.
My Favorite Penthouse - May 1978
Penthouse May 1978.jpg
The centerfold model, Angela Heyer (a blond unlike the cover model), did something special for me and there were probably hot Forum stories. Also while sharing her feelings regarding life and sex, in the article accompanying the pre-centerfold pictorial, the model (again, not the cover model) disclosed she fantasized about having someone 'go down on her while she's making love'. Even today in FFM scenes this activity turns me on and when it happens (all too infrequently, unfortunately) I often think of this early experience.
An article/pictorial in the July 1977 Playboy
Playboy July 1977.jpg
'The New Porn Stars; Beautiful And Talented' gave special praise to Constance Money, Abigail Clayton and Annette Haven. It featured a double-page photo of a young and very beautiful naked Annette Haven lying on a tiger skin with her butt in the air and looking back at the photographer over her right shoulder. I was in love. The first-time I saw her perform in an explicit hard-core scene, over a decade later, was a magic moment.

There was some Playboy from, I'm guessing, around 1982 in which the centerfold wore black stockings or nylons and leaned up against or sat right on the keys of a piano. Does that sound familiar at all? It's my one memory from an early one for me.
Until I started subscribing in the 90's, and paged through them many times, I honestly don't remember any of the earlier ones. Even though I would see them (okay once) stacked up at an uncle's house and then there was that box up in the garage at my best friends house. Read through lots of Penthouse letters that one summer camping out in the backyard.

What memories, as a young boy, probably beginning when I was around age 7, my older brother used to get stacks of Penthouse magazines stashed away in the attic and I enjoyed the pics. That was in the 70s. When VCRs came out in the early 80s, and I could view videos, I lost interest in the magazines. The only magazine I purchased from time to time was titled Tail Ends and always had some incredible shots.

Hah, definitely a funny way to put it and true too. Born in the 80's so yeah, grew up in the 90's with the porn mags, "Real Sex" on HBO, and caught some VHS porn before that faded too.
So it was a bit more challenging for me to get porn too damnit! Youngin's have it so easy thesedays with the internet... haha, slightly kidding here but yeah.

I wish I could remember but the first porn mags I found were left under a piece of plywood in a local copse of bushes, they probably didn't even have the covers on them. I do remember being quite taken with Penthouse Letters though.

The first that comes to mind was the March issue of Penthouse with Janine Lindemuller (I think on the cover in bodypaint) Sany Korn as Pet of the Month was hot.

Great thread!
I bought my first Playboys in 1966.
All you could see was boobs!
Then I remember when Penthouse came out and a friend shows me a centrefold where you see the girls pubic hair !
We could not believe it.
And later in the 70's Penthouse became very popular that our local stationery shop had a BIG pile of them each month on full display. It was well known that many adults of my age then, liked the read the letters.

It wasn't a Playboy shoot as such. It was an article merged with a pictorial (as in the regular Sex In The Cinema/Girls of The Pac-10, etc. pictorials). The article, about the new emerging female porn talent, commented admiringly on both their beauty and acting skills (in an era, well pre-VCR, when this meant something) and was also reasonably informative, including quotes from the women themselves - the only one I remember vaguely was from either Constance Money of Abigail Clayton remarking she liked how her body looked in a particular movie because she was three months pregnant at the time and her breast were fuller.
The pictorial was not insignificant featuring one or two pictures of the various women mentioned (and maybe this might have included Lisa de Leeuw, among others, as well as the three I've mentioned, I don't recall). The pictures were mostly soft-core screenshots from movies but did also feature posed photographs. The one I described of Annette Haven is the latter but not necessarily shot for Playboy though it could have been since it was the 'star' photo of the pictorial. The picture is not ADT compliant as it shows bush and now, as I write, I think she may have been playing with her pussy (soft-coredly) with her left hand.
The reference, above, to Sandi Korn has brought back happy memories. At a time, for me, when I wasn't to know how ubiquitous tanlines and carefully shave pussies would become, Ms Korn's excellence in both these departments imparted a super sluttiness to her already magnificent hair and breast attributes. Gallons.

This tread reminds me of the current Subaru commercial about never forgetting your first love.
I remember the first Playboy style mag and how taken I was by it. Makes me smile even today.
It's unfortunate the magazine has changed so much. I subscribed for years, but finally stopped a year or two ago because the content was so poor.
I've been in the magazine as a contributor twice, but I've lost interest now. I'm not sure if HH is the problem or the solution. I think he's taking a renewed interest in the magazine recently. We'll see if it can return to it's former glory.

1st nude pic i ever saw, my dad showed me Vanna White in Playboy, probably not even 5 years old at the time lol. later on in life i would find his stash of early 80s Playboys and Penthouses and help myself to most of them. i remember that Janet Lupo pic from the second post, seeing it brought back mammaries, i mean memories.

I don't remember the first Playboy magazine that I ever saw because my dad had a subscription and we always had them around the house. However, the Patti McGuire issue was one I remember well because she was so incredibly beautiful. She went on to be the Playmate of the Year and she also married tennis legend Jimmy Connors. If Wikipedia is accurate, she's still married to him.

Ha, I loved Patti Mcguire. I remember seeing her at a Hot Rod Car show when I was around 13 in about 1977. I thought she was so hot looking and such a "bad" girl for posing and of course that turned me on all the more, seeing her in person. She had a real tight balck jump suit on and I remember she seemed much shorter in person.

my first dirty magazines weren't playboy/penthouse, but swank and oui...at that time, the magazines were out in the open on the shelves at the local convenient store(UTotem which became Circle K) that my mother worked at....whenever she would be sweeping down the other side of the store, i would take one and flip through the pics...just awesome!! :-) after i saw those and then opened a playboy, i was disappointed!!...lol

I had seen a couple of Playboys of my dad's when snooping around at a very young age...but this is the first one that I actually recall having an (*ahem*) "response" to (...and then another response...and then another response... lol...) when I found it in a desk drawer in our house when I was 12 or 13 ...
November, 1987 -- Ms. Pamela Stein (Playmate) -- (trivia: She's the wife of Cheap Trick's Robin Zander at this point.)
Nov 1987.jpg
Stein.jpg
In terms of Penthouse, my friend had access to his dad's stash when we were maybe 14 (?)...but the first that I had access to in a long-term way was the November, 1993 issue -- Ms. Melissa McGlathery (Pet of the Month). I was hiding it for my friend whose family would have flipped if they found it b/c they were devout Muslims.
PH 1993.jpg
McGlathery.jpg
In terms of the first "spread" shots that I remember seeing, I found a few torn-out pages from some magazine with this layout featuring Christy Canyon, Bunny Bleu, and Peter North. I remember being seriously mesmerized by Bunny's "lippage" (for lack of a better phrase--"beef curtains"? lol...). I have no idea which actual magazine it came from. This was when I was 13 or 14... I still have the pages laying around somewhere.
Canyon Bleu North.jpg
I've also been told that I met Susie Scott--Miss May, 1983--at an SLC, UT appearance (in a store of some sort) at or around the time of her issue coming out when I was a kid. I remember it very, very vaguely. Supposedly, there's an autographed headshot to me somewhere...but who knows if I'll ever find it.

^I remember that magazine.
Later, I believe that they may have joined forces with Private in video making b/c I recall some late-90's (or early 00's?) movies that were Puritan-Private or some such thing.
In terms of the magazine, it was hardcore when things like Hustler, etc. were softcore... I had a copy of one from the mid-90's with Shayla LaVeaux and some dude's cock in her mouth on the cover, if memory serves.
I found the following link for one from the 80's ... different cover than what I remember from a decade later:

Anyway The first actual PLAYBOY that i bought or found any interested in was when Nell McAndrew aka the real life face of Lara Croft at the time graced the cover and had a photo shoot. Being the gamer i am i HAD to have it.

^Just odd to see Playboy promoting an X-rated film on its cover, though a quick Amazon search is telling me that there was (is?) an R-rated version, too.
She also appears to have an official Facebook fan page link
and a Twitter account -- @KristineDeBell
Here's Wickipedia -- link
Interesting.
Update: Found this in a fairly knowledgeable review of the movie: "ALICE was originally released as a softcore film, and only several years later, after Kristine DeBell had moved on to mainstream work in television and major studio movies, did the hardcore footage turn up in brief theatrical release and home video versions."
link
(Sorry...but I've really been getting into adult entertainment history lately and am currently fascinated by it all...)

^ Yep, the R rated version is pretty popular. I read reviews that complained about the existence of the X version, saying it ruined the film etc. They clearly felt that hardcore footage smutted up their ostensibly innocent and fun romp. The hardcore version isn't terribly "hard" though. I don't know about that latter piece of information - I thought the hardcore version was released around the same time as the softcore one.
