Is Evil Angel and Elegant Angel downloadable in 720P or 1080P ? They have some stuff I really like, just didn't want to subscibe and find out it is 480 which a lot of sites claim as HD.

Elegant is, Evil is not.
Evil Angel's site is a disgrace.

I'd agree, 2010 has to be the worst year for porn in quite some time. Digital Sin/New Sensations has pretty much halted their new releases along with others pretty much dead in the water (Red Light District, etc). And, factor in Mark Ashley nearly breaking off his penis, thus limiting his role to the gonzo porn world as he is a fraction of what he used to be but still superior to most others. This unfortunate incident has lead to repetitive use of poor male talent in studios such as Elegant Angel, Evil Angel and Jules Jordan. 2010 = bad year for porn...and 2011 not looking on the bright side.

I tend to be more like Fluffhead or whatever he called himself, or CMJ, than the guys who seemingly watch a different porn release or long web update every day, and only of the freshest, newest performers. I am aware of some of the hot new girls, and I buy all of the movies that my favorite performer is directing, but I don't see as many of the new releases as others. I hate when there are online fan polls that require me to vote in each category for me to be able to cast my vote in the categories that I do feel confident about. I just don't feel like a current, informed voter on some of the categories.

^ HeyNow,
You can see the scars in Chrs Stream's Fashion Fucks w/ Nikki Benz. A horrific incident...there never was any sort of press release or official mention of it as was the case for Prince.

From his other posts I gather than rambo99ca is a fan of gang bangs, DPs, etc so I think his real beef is that his fetishes are not being produced in the same quantity anymore.

Bree Olsen coming back to Gonzo is a big plus for 2011.
Bring back the other gonzo queens Naomi Russell and Brianna Love and we will have a good 2011

i guess if you havent been watching euro girls would seem like a pretty crap year. we living in the HD era but apart from jules jordan/digital sin the majority of usa porn has taken a dive in 09-10 compared with previous years (IMO)
whats with all these stupid parodys or is that what most people into now?
hope bree is going back to scenes like the one she did in bore my asshole and bring back tiffany rayne, cody lane and mia rose for some of that action.. would definately give the euro girls some competition
i enjoy solo girl/lesbo action just as much as regular hardcore sex and anal/dp- top wet girls 5 & 6 and scenes from peepeebabes made it the best year for lesbian porn imo

I don't know. Sure production was way down and a lot of my favorites retired, but overall quality looked good, plus I don't think I fast forwarded nearly as often. I think all were forced to up their game, which is a good thing IMO.

Somes very easy to get removed ..... and some you can jump thru every hoop there is and still not get it removed. Just depends on how far you'll take it.

I hate to say it .... but you're not going to see the same porn you used to as long as everythings free. Companies can't afford it. The day after scenes are released you can find them for free. Will things ever go back ... I kinda doubt it, but the only shot for them to go back is if Tubes and Torrents get taken down. Knowone wants to believe this, but if things continue in the direction they're going .... crappy porn may be the least of your worries. You may end up having no porn with the exception of guys and companies that are content with breaking even just to fuck :)
Some websites already have, but I think a lot of them that haven't will goto all streaming ... no downloadable content. Only thing that makes sense anymore.

^ Don't believe the FUD. Porn biz will NEVER die. The business is
just changing. You will see fewer production companies and less
junk being cranked out in high volume. Porn biz people are complaining
because they cannot make as much money as easily as they could before.
Hello its a recession. Every retailer has lower sales.

Not sure if she begun in 2010 but I found Nica Noelle's Straight directions amazingly good way more than the regular gonzo are , I mean all the scenes in her movies are bursting hot ,the way she pairs her performers is accurate they seems almost fucking on their own for their own pleasure.
very enjoyable
don't know anything about her lesbian direction, I don't like to watch lez , I feel uneasy as I was an intruder in a world I don't belong to.

Anything that is streamed can be downloaded. And the software to do so is widely available. And there are a number of highly profitable companies, even in this recession such as: Brazzers, Naughty America, Wicked, and Digital Playground.
As for torrents and tubesites, in an interesting way they represent the competition the industry has never had before.
Look at it this way, exactly how easy is it to get a downloadable version of a movie the day it comes out? Based on what I've seen it's nearly impossible.
So what does a consumer do if they want the movie or a scene from that movie? They check torrent sites or other sites to get the content for free. Because they can't get it from the studios.
And playing chase down the filesharers game with lawyers might make some of these industry people feel better, but it's an absurd business decision, because:
1. It won't work. See the current RIAA/MPAA war against filesharers that's been an absolute failure even though they own Congress and get passed whatever draconian and defective legislation they want.
2. Many people are downloading the content because they literally can't get the content any other way. If scenes/movies were made available cheaply on the day they're released many people would chose that option. Because in many cases they can't, if a convenient pay option was made available, many would choose that. Because in many cases it's about convenience more than cost.

Some of those companies are not nearly has profitable as you think. A couple of the big studios probably wont be around in another year or two.
It actually is working. Two huge torrent sites when dark this week...2 bit torrents with 26 million members went off line permanently. Thats more than a drop in the bucket.

Once the ISPs can be cracked it will be a game changer for file sharing. However as long as fans/users think its okay to download and watch free content on tubesites, current business models will be challenged.

Solar4 writes,
I know that is the case for me, I will not download from thieving bastards under any circumstances and subscribe to over a dozen legit and original content sites and put quality and getting the my dollars to the people who produced the content. That said, I will tell you what pisses me off is when content is slipped from the inside or through poor security is put into the hands of pirates. A recent example that comes to mind is a Britney Beth scene shot by Midnight Prowl and I see available online at dozens of pirate sites. I then subscribe to Midnight Prowl and there is no scene there, during my whole month of subscription and still no scene. I still don't know if the scene is available now and will not go back for the sake of principle.
WTF! How does this happen that they hold back the scene on members and somehow still it's out there for pirates?

pornlaw writes,

Amen! Along those lines, I have often thought," What the industry needs is a full time top notch hacker to spend his day planting Trojans in pirate sites and downloaders will eventually get tired of their machines crashing."

You mean Sweet Sinner? Thought you meant a company called "Straight Directions" for a minute...
They're also financially successful, according to them. Goes to show that you can still make money if you're willing to pursue something a little different, figure out your audience, etc. I know there's more to it than this, but from what I've read Nica and Co. are doing something right.

Probably the same reason you could get cds and dvd rips of movies on Usenet a decade ago: stuff gets leaked out. Data is a way easier commodity to steal than say a big painting from a museum. You can stick something on a flash drive or a cd and sneak it out of said editing house or if you're working on post-production or something. Data is actually VERY easy to steal compared to everything else. That's why people do it.
I'm not big on hacking or viruses and shit or anything (I've got a Mac and haven't ever ran a virus scan on any of my Macs, ever) but I don't think Trojans are a big deal. If you've got the tech knowledge to know how and where to steal data (porn) from, you can probably handle taking a Trojan off your computer or, more importantly, knowing how to keep them off in the first place. It's not THAT hard.

Planting trojans? So the idea is to use malware to stop filesharers? Well the RIAA/MPAa already tried that years ago. And it doesn't work, primarily because the people they're fighting against are more technically adept than them and have all the time in the world to figure out countermeasures against it.
Yes It's working, similar to when Napster was taken down. All music filesharing then stopped instead of becoming even more decentralized and impossible to stop.
See at the time, as you and others in the industry believe now unfortunately, it was thought that if Napster could just be shut down that the problem of free music would go away. Unfortunately in their eagerness to shut the site down they didn't understand that they would simply exacerbate the problem.
And instead of having to contend with one centralized music site that they could have worked with they instead mindlessly and reflexively destroyed it, instead of understanding that if they had worked with Napster from day one they could have gotten a fair percentage of the people who used it to move to a pay service.
Because as previously mentioned, in many cases it's not about the free digital content it's about the convenience of getting it.
And as previously mentioned there aren't any legit options to get most, some but not most, movies/scenes in the industry on the day they come out or even months later via download.
And because of this consumer demand, free content steps in and provides a service that the industry is unwilling to. Because unfortunately industry studios still think refusing to make their movies available by VOD is a good business decision.
Perhaps in time though they will understand that it is cheaper to give the consumer what they want, in the form of reasonably priced content via VOD, instead of hiring lawyers to fight a futile war, which is beginning to take on the characteristics of another futile war, the war on drugs.
Although I would argue that this battle is even more futile considering that far more people want adult content than want narcotics.

Okay bad idea, I'm sure you folks are right, it's surely childish with little impact and possibly illegal. A pisser to be countersued , they are awarded damages, and are still legally able to upload content. The essential result being, you're now paying them to steal from you.
It all just annoys me, much in the same way as a neighbor who brags about being able to defraud the insurance company on a claim and how he comes out ahead. He wins yes, but everybody who plays by the rules loses.

Whoever believes 2010 was a bad year for porn may not have seen any of Mike Adriano's videos, nor Manuel Ferrara's "Raw" series... or even "Buttman's Stretch Class 4", "Phat Bottom Girls 3" and B. Pumper's "Wide Open Slippery Ass Meat". If it had not been for these flicks, yes, 2010 would have been a shitty year in porn!
Besides, 2010 was a big year for Ashli Orion, Jennifer White and Francesca Le!

2010 lacked DPs, there were only a few standout scenes like Tori Black and Mason Moore. Hopefully 2011 will be the year of the DP!! Especially with Katie St Ives first DP in Dark Meat 4 coming soon

i agree with solar4 in that 'working with' rather 'than fighting against' is surely the way to go- why does the porn industry not see that?
as the ease and speed with witch people can download becomes faster and quicker, more and more people will do it- i know this is wrong but it is happening but, again, solar4 is correct, i think, in saying that if people could pay for a simple way of downloading what they want as soon as it is released, then i believe many would do it- i am an evilondemand member and it is fine as far as it goes but surely it could be improved beyond measure? why can i not pay per scene? why do i see films available elsewhere illegally on the day of release but not up on the site which makes them? why are the bonus scenes not available? these are all things which TEMPT me to illegality
and on a lighter note, mike adrianos films did indeed make 2010 a fine year, especially the scene in 'anal overdose' with francesca le, diana prince and nicki hunter and the scene in 'california anal girls' with seda- both hit my sweet spot last year!

2011 is going to be the worst if LA county gets their way with condom mandatory. I'm sure the champagne corks at Vivid and Wicked will be popping if that does happen! But those of us in the Condom Never collective will be crying.
Maybe the whole Pornadelphia scene in Chatsworth will move it all to Tijuana

A trend that I am not a fan of but totally understand. (I plan on being the last person in America to have a FAcebook account.) All this web only content is a limitation for the few of us left who don't watch porn on their smart media/computers. And prefer to collect porn on DVD.
Put it on a disk and I"ll buy it but I'm not into downloading individual scenes or subscribing to any web site. No problem for those that prefer that medium but it's not for me. And as more companies ditch the overhead of DVD, as brick and mortar smut shacks go out of business or convert shelf space away from the physical DVD or go out of business all together b/c of piracy I know that is going to diminish my consumption of legitimate porn.
Maybe boutique disk production where you can pick scenes off a websites offering for a fee is the way to go if they aren't going to issue commewrcial DVDs much longer

I think Elegant Angel through Big Wet Asses is climbing the ranks of the gonzo elite whereas prior their stuff was competent but not noteworthy. It's a genius concept of getting anal shy cuties to crack their asses open and fill the other scenes with fan favorites. Either way you know every scene is gonna contain anal.

I don't mind the tattoos on Riot Grrl stuff like Burning Angel but otherwise, I am disapointed with girls displaying tattoos but I am showing my age. B/c I work on a college campus and it's getting to be one in two have tattoos; from the girls I observe in class or in the Student Union. Many of them too garish for my taste. (i.e. I think it detracts from their attractiveness overall.)
As in:
"Wow she's cute, too bad about the stupid tattoos."
And any single ink tattoo that looks like it was etched while in lock up is a big turn off.

The best videos of 2010 are (in order)...
1) American Anal Sluts
2) Raw 6
3) California Anal Girls
4) Anal Overdose
5) Raw 3
6) Buttman's Stretch Class 4
7) Wide Open Slippery Ass Meat
8) Anal Starlets
9) Phat Bottom Girls 3
10) Gapeman 4
The worst year in porn to me is probably 2002.

Not many videos of excellence were released, other than ASS WORSHIP 2, ROCCO SUPERMOTO HARD... It was an excellent year in regards to reissuing older Evil Angel videos and Heavy Metal 1 & 2 on DVD and that's it. Otherwise, in my opinion, the quality of Buttman and Christoph Clark's videos declined like hell! All we had to look forward to back then were older videos being released (which is fabulous), but other than that, just videos from Jules Jordan, a few Rocco releases and The Fashionistas (probably the best release of 2003, with the Rio Carnival Orgy series right under it).

Because the girls would realize they didn't need a bunch of guys making money off them and would put out the videos themselves with zero overhead besides hiring a shooting crew.
Of course there will always be non-adopters who can't work a computer (yet still manage to post in this forum somehow) and refuse to buy anything besides physical mediums. They're kinda like the VHS holdouts complaining video stores only stocks DVDs.

I agree COMPLETELY with the OP, especially when its Gonzo (which rhymes, btw, with Same Oh, Same Oh) where the old "in and out" has increasingly become repetitious, and even when a "Same Oh" director gets a unique idea, he "runs it in the ground," with sequel after sequel.
Of course, the "quick buck" mentality which is the mindset of 99.99% of the adult film producers today, is primarily at fault, but to me, porn's directors MUST share a big portion of the blame for their lack of creativity--sacrificed on the Altar of Familiarity.
Thus, when it comes to choosing male performers for film scenes, its the "Same Oh, Same Oh," all over again as the viewer's eyes are exposed to the "same oh" men, wearing the "SAME OH" clothes--Salvation Army Handmedowns--doing the "same oh" thing over and over again--Dejavu-- (no wonder Gonzo rhymes with SAME OH!) and the result is starting to show now with reduced revenues, as more and more film producers send less and less money out to film directors, and the vicious cycle continues!
That is why, to me, the TRULY talented directors in porn, are those men and women who devote their energy and creativity toward making thematic based feature films, where the male performer's clothing no longer come from Santa Monica Goodwill Stores, the sets and staging are unique, sound effects and lighting ACTUALLY important, scripts and dialogue HAVE meaning and ARE challenging, both mentally and physically, and above all, PRIDE is paramount.
In the long run, then, FEATURE flms, with powerful thespian performances and direction, featuring much more emphasis on the type of sexual explicit scenes, which Gonzo's "overkill" has significantly abused, just MIGHT be the answer to make a "HEAVEN ELEVEN" for the adult film industry--at least, I sincerely HOPE so, along, of course, with always seeing LOTS of sexy, shapely porn stars, "sucking" on loooong all-white cigarettes, in MANY MANY somewhat extended close camera smoking scenes, for both Gonzo and feature porn presentations....ooooooOOOO's
Scintillating, swirling sensual cigarette smoke rings to all you "antis" from all us WANTYS, JUST as large in number, but, admittedly, far less vocal on ADT, preferring instead to devote their time and energy to the plethera of smoke fetish sites which ABOUND on the internet today.
Since MY special niche of porn, however is seeing lots of sexy, shapely, beautiful adult film entertainer's, with their luscious lips (the key to our passion) wrapped around, and inhaling with deeep finesse on looooong all-white cigarettes (the ultimate phallic symbol, btw) both before, after and ESPECIALLY DURING the "fucknsuck,"I continue my battle against ALL those "clueless" (when it comes to our passion) adult film producers and directors out there----
"Fight on good men, Sir Andrew said, I am but wounded yet not dead, I will but lie down to bleed awhile, then rise again, to fight the DREAD!"

A part of me would love for that to happen, although I generally have no problems with other genres. The Parodies will eventually start to wear-out, as is the material to draw from. Other than films from Wicked and maybe the newer Sweet Sinner, true feature films are almost becoming extinct. Adam & Eve and Vivid both have practically stopped making them, again parodies aside, with a lot of older companies long defunct. Features don't appear to be cost-effective. Too expensive to make, too much time to shoot, with no true marketing way of returning a profit. The hotels are even going away from carrying the Cable versions of them. I fear once the Parodies die-down, so will features as a whole.

I had a good laugh here -- chacon a son gout. We all have our own particular likes and dislikes. For me, if a woman has a cigarette, I immediately dump the scene unwatched. The single biggest turnoff in the world for me. Go figure.

Some Israeli company acquired Empornium by in 2006. The admins were locked out
after conflicts over their plans to charge for access. Since then the former
admins started a new site called cheggit.net
http://torrentfreak.com/targetpoint-takes-over-empornium/
You can shutdown one site but another will just pop up. Also they are going
after the torrent index sites but they cannot stop the torrent networks which
are decentralized. Torrent sites are not as bad as the storage sites like
Rapidshare and Hotfile. Apparently Google is being pressured to remove them
from search results ...
http://torrentfreak.com/google-starts-censoring-bittorrent-rapidshare-and-more-110126/
You cannot stop piracy completely. It's only practical and cost effective
to go after the largest distributors. So you wait until they reach critical
mass and then sue them.

You're thinking about when Sony tried to put copyright protection trojans on their CDs, that's different than someone using trojan viruses to attack websites or forums. That's actually a very effective method, a group of online hackers went after some CP forums years ago for instance. It wouldn't be illegal, since the sites one is attacking are themselves illegal, they would have no recourse.

Except laws are being passed as we speak that allow internet providers to restrict the bandwidth use of their clients, so those who download a lot illegally will find their speeds slowing down more and more, not speeding up.

AlphaD: Guess what, if I KNOW ahead of time that a particular porn film does NOT incorporate sexy cigarette smoking scenes, no matter who is appearing, I WON'T buy or rent it, but, of course, since there is no way to know this fact, I keep buying/renting and always HOPING---btw, if you want to laugh or regurgitate (your choice) even more, GOOGLE "smoking fetish" and "smoking glamour" to get some idea of just how large in numbers is our passion to see sexy women smoking cigarettes in both main stream and "steam stream" films----I am NOT alone!!!

Hopefully we will get alot more DP/Gangbang scenes in 2011, we hear all the time they are to expensive to produce, but why do they bring +3 scenes on every dvd? I would have no problem paying 20-25 bucks for a great DP scene lasting like 45-60 mins with fx. Asa Akira or Bree Olsen, no need Gangbang Audition has 3 scenes on every dvd.
