I downloaded some 60 fps only files but I still prefer watching at a lower framerate. I guess my eyes are just not used to video’s with a higher framerate, so to me the scenes just look like someone is constantly pressing the fast forward button. Is there a free player (or converter) out there that can play 60fps at 24 or 30 fps? It’s got nothing to do with choppy playback or anything, I guess it’s just a weird personal preference. [Link] |

Right now we just have several generations of viewers that are used to the choppiness of 24/30 and they associate that with creative content and that movie feeling. Its basically a brain virus and an artifact. I'd rather watch what has the most accurate representation of reality and contains more video information. [Link] |

Windows Media Player (I don't know which version. I'm using the one that came loaded with Win 7) has Slow, Normal and Fast playback. Right click on the big Play/Pause icon and it'll give you the options. Seems like I used to have a player that offered more speed control, but I don't recall which. It's not a feature I use much.
