Adult DVD Empire has made a lot of changes over the last few months that have actually encouraged me to buy from them. Earlier, I wouldn't even consider it because they were so much more expensive than Five Star and DVD Advantage. Now they are running some good sales, and there's the free shipping option, etc.

But they still are not in the kickback program. Is there a reason for this? I have to admit that this is probably the last thing keeping me from ordering from them. I make my porn buying decisions very objectively-- who (among the four or five stores that I trust) has it for the cheapest price overall, including promotions, shipping, etc? That 5% factors in.

Ironically, after ADVDT, Empire is usually my first stop to evaluate a disc because of their excellent interface, screen shots, etc. But I usually buy somewhere else. If, as I believe is the case, the 5% kickback does not come out of the store's pocket, why not do it and encourage me and others like me to make the leap from browser to buyer?

Saki,
I don't really think that the issues pointed out in the other thread really apply here. I agree that adding this functionality could create significant software costs to a site if they were just adding this functionality.

However, Adult DVD Empire recently revamped much of thier site. Adding Kickback functionality at that time should not have caused any significant additional expense. Considering the increased number of orders that it would generate with virtually no ongoing additional expense, the return on investment of including Kickback capabilities when they modified their site certainly would have justified this additional enhancement.

I don't know why ADE doesn't participate in the Kickback program. Maybe they will respond directly. I was just pointing to the thread that had the generic answer. Any information as to the reasons, relative costs, etc. is just speculation since only ADE knows why they haven't participated yet.

MasterB--

I am truly pleased to hear this. You guys have a great site, and have made all the right changes over the last few months.

I will make a point of completing my next purchase with ADE once you've joined the team for the big win!
