We're not going to get a change in the general descriptions of scenes between races until there are enough people looking for scenes with Latino men or Asian men that companies think they'll make more money by singling them out. I mean it seems that most of the roles that the guys are getting seem to mostly be when a black male is specifically needed for the role, because any scene with a black male performer is seen as INTERRACIAL. It is seen as something outside of the realm of a normal b/g scene most times. A lot of times directors seem to cast the performers that they have good working relationships with and because there are many out there that don't shoot IR in any capacity other than WM/BF they most likely don't form the relationships with the black male performers. The same really can't be said of the black female performers in the industry though because they tend to appear on sites outside of IR specific sites far more often than there black male counterparts. This could also hinder any new black from coming to the forefront because they for the most part can only be featured in interracial scenes. [Link] |

It's better than herd mentality and conformity. What I do find funny is that out of the 4 females, one is Asian (Morgan Lee) and one may identify as Latina/Hispanic or at least mixed (Kristina Rose). Even [redacted by legal demand] I think could pass for Latina if she's not. I'm not complaining about a damn thing here though. Love the cast! I also think Ariana Grande look similar to you, and again I had mistakenly took her to be Hispanic, but she's got Italian background. It just goes to show all too often you never can tell. Perhaps it's a Mediterranean connection which figures, since that sea connects Europe from Spain, to Italy, to Eastern Europe, and to the Middle East. I'm not one to insist on labels, especially if they are not consistent with what the person they are being applied to identifies with. My point was simply pointing out how amusing it is to see the title of this Evil Angel flick, given that at least half of the cast could easily identify as something aside from white. But more and more commonly, I find terms like white and black to be overly generalized, yet people think they are specific terms. There's Hispanics who identify as white, and some identify as black. And I imagine in a population as large as India's (over 1 billion citizens), many of them could identify as white or black (e.g. Dravidian) as well. They're terms that can adopt relatively similar values in different regions of the world. BTW Gabi what do you think of the title of that movie? Using a 3-walled stage with a couch, tell the talent to have sex on it, and call it a wrap. Looks like all 4 scenes are shot from the same angle. Why people are still directing like this is beyond me. It makes every scene look the same. It limits the positions. It limits the angles they can be shot at. There seems to be no director credited and I wouldn't blame them, because there's little room for any actual directing here. [Link] |

Alyssa Gadson aka Alexis Rodriguez had an excellent scene with Stallion for them. She's done 3 scenes for them which is great to me since she's easily one of my favorite performers. I think they would be even better at stewarding (or is that stewardessing?) a comfortable gonzo scene, especially with newer female performers. I can't stress the comfort of the female talent enough. I can deal with the male talent enduring a bit of imposition, because most of these guys are more experienced and returning talent anyway who've been through it all before with almost every company. But many if not most of these females may only have one appearance in a blue moon for a given company. So I for one am still a fan of vocal directors who keep the talent interested, welcome and enthused. I mean anyone who watches the behind the scenes of a typical shoot will know the directors are speaking to the talent between almost every position anyway, they just edit those parts out where the directors are instructing, usually in a cold and calculated way. So I'm in favor of less pretense. I think a good director will have a good attitude and personality that performers are receptive to. Mason is a great example. That's why so many of my favorite scenes are gonzo and do often include live direction/commentary by the director. I also like when they ask what the performers want to do before deciding on a position. The HushHush guy was a bit stank. That was my only issue with him. He was almost as good at keeping it casual as Shooter for BangBros, but he did have a hint of creep factor, which I guess comes with the territory. But he I don't think he was that offensive, unless we're talking about how they solicited the girls using the N-word (something which was copacetic with the black males and which they also encouraged, to be sure). I would concede that HushHush camera guy could have done with a teensy bit more chill. That's true. As I said, personality matters. [Link] |
