Wicked Pictures has always been very conservative about making GG porn, which is frustrating, having a lot of great talent both in front and behind the camera. When they have done something in that vein, they usually were total disasters like The good, the bad and the wicked or Hell on heels. Hi! While this was part of a multi-day feature shoot we did, the scene between Lexi and Siri was not what I would consider a high budget production. What I did want to focus on with this film was telling a very believable, relatable story about a married woman (Lexi) who finds herself feeling same-sex attractions and ends up having an unplanned affair with a confident lesbian woman (Siri) - taking the storyline and emotions seriously and letting the sexual tension build between the women (Lexi and Siri had not performed together, so the butterflies were real) allowed us to cultivate an experience that was very rooted in realism ... especially for someone's first time with another woman. What Set us Apart is probably my favorite lesbian episode I have directed - it was lighting in a bottle in all respects. And thank you for your kind words - the Cadance/Charlotte scene was one we largely improvised together on set based on a scenario I wrote. All three of these examples are stories where we tried to leave the conventional porn tropes behind and tell hyper realistic stories. The majority of our audience still prefer the crazy squirting, get almost caught in places, and family roleplay scenarios, but I'm happy to see there is some interest out there for believable drama too. That's always been my personal preference.
Good to know that, at least on occasions, you get to create what you'd prefer to create. In hindsight, the writing really was on the wall for my Gamma membership when the audience negatively reacted to "Lesbian Dating Stories".
