It's free -- no cost to upgrade so if you're not happy, there shouldn't be any problem downrevving it back to 0.8. Firefox is great; it has been my default browser for quite a while (before it was Camino/Mozilla).

Some webdev extensions do not work yet, but it is a matter of time, as usual. Since I do not use it for regular browsing, and hence always do a clean install, I didn't have any problems myself. FF is not designed for power users. Mozilla starts a bit slower, but has much more tools and options, and is quite slow to use as well as browse. To get any reasonable functionality in FF you have to download a lot of extensions and pray they are compatible. If you just use a back button and a forward button, then FF will be more than fine. Bottom line - FF is a "standards-compliant replacement for IE". One of the reasons to use Mozilla over FF is its set of web-developer tools. Another is a greater control over the application.
