I just discovered I have a problem with my display. My machine won't display the sticky threads at the top of the forums.

I have just cleaned out all cookies and history, run ad-aware and spy bot (which found nothing new).

Does anyone have a clue of what setting I need to reset, or things I need to clean out?

Ummm, let me correct that. I can't see the sticky thread in the Star Crossed forum. I can still see the sticky threads in the polls forum.

Any ideas?

I don't see the sticky thread in Star Crossed, either. (But I haven't done any of that cleaning/purging/checking stuff.) I do see the ones in Polls.

What forums can you currently see "Sticky's" in? I'm wondering if it isn't a "locked sticky" issue as opposed to a "sticky" issue. Maybe, you're not seeing the first post in every forum. There are 2 sticky's in the Polls forum, which is the one that you said you could see. Are you seeing both of them?

Currently, there are sticky's in:
Feature Side (1)
Star Crossed (1, locked)
International Shopping (1)
US DVD Trading (2)
International DVD Trading (1)
Sex Talk (1, locked)
Polls (2)
World News & Nonsense (1)

(number in parentheses indicates how many stickies are in forum).

What browser are you guys using?

Feature side - yes (1)
Star Crossed - no
International Shopping - no
US DVD trading - yes (1)
International DVD trading - yes (1)
Sex Talk - yes (1 locked)
Polls - yes (2)
World News & Nonsense - no

This is getting weird.

The last time that the industry-wide big ass DVD realease schedule was sticky, and locked, in Porn News & Press Releases, I could see that one. Currently it is just locked but not sticky.

I am using IE 6.0

With the differences we are getting, guess we'll have to wait for Drew to get back to us.

You're seeing that one correctly. My guess is that either Tricia or Steph need to do something to allow Tricia to make updates. It probably needs to be reset when she is complete. Tricia made an update yesterday. It's been "unsticky" ever since.

I responded in the other thread but dang it I should have responded here. I think it has to do with the settings for display. As you can set the forums to display posts from the last 30 days, 180 days, etc. The sticky in the star crossed is from Nov 03 so if you change your settings to include that time period you should see it. That's why roughly every 30 days we edit the one in the feature side so it continues to show up.

BINGO!

Hot damn Flash, that's good.

My setting is for 30 days. I change it and the sticky popped in.l

What does that Guiness beer ad say? -- BRILLIANT!

When they had disappeared, I just assumed that steph had removed them or something. Yeah, I know, I used the 'assume' word.

Maybe Drew can put something in the SQL so that the stickies display regardless.

Thanks.

Ding, ding, ding. We have a winner. Don's right, Drew should probably be able to add and "or" to the SQL to always display stickies.
