I mean short as in man-length or shorter, not a bob. They say it makes women of a certain age look younger. To me, they look their age, but with shorter hair. At any age, I just find it a turn off. Somehow unfeminine and unsexy, to me. I realize that is subjective.
I also tend to find longer hair makes the woman more attractive. I think if you would poll, you would find a big majority of males find long hair attractive vs short hair. Hair extensions exist for a reason ... just saying ...
There are some notable exceptions, and I think it has a lot to do with the actress. Here are some examples:

I will also say that some women have a very exquisite nape (neck line), and short hair helps show it off. I also think there are differences between Asian women and Caucasian women with short hair. I don't think one is better than the other, but they do seem different. Just my opinion.

Not my cup of tea. I don't like short hair, shoulder length is ok but anything less than that is a turn off for me especially buzz cuts and overly short hair. Thank God my wife has long hair and does not like short hair!

My wife has short hair, so I'm used to it and think most women can pull off short hair really well. But I notice my taste in women and porn women is a lot different than most of the guys on here. Also, I'm not trying to fuck hair, I know some guys are into that. Just saw Paul Thomas fuck and cum on a chick's hair in a porn, so I think I know about these things. Having a great body is always a plus and trumps a hairstyle

^ Well I agree you don't fuck hair, I never even thought of that. Anyways, for me a woman with short hair and a great body would not turn me on because I am not attracted to women with short hair. Sure a great body is nice but a woman could have an incredible body and an awful looking face. Its all about someone's preference. Like my wife has huge boobs someone else might like small boobs. My wife has an amazing bush, I love bush an others don't so its all someone's preference.
That's interesting. To that point, there's a video circulating of a bunch of short clips where female reporters are drooling over the actor Henry Cavill. Some say the double standard is that the female reporters shouldn't be doing that (reverse the genders and the male reporters would get fried). ^ Yes. That's an accepted double standard that men just have to live with. But this is in regards to getting angry when someone has chosen to change their appearance in a way that you feel makes them less attractive. Women have free reign to say such things; but if men do any such thing, they're sexist pigs.

Anything goes but preference for full long hair soft and silky smooth. I want to smell her hair pull her hair run my hands through her hair, hair is sexy as fuck. Same goes for bush.
IMO more girls should cut their hair short-the shorter the better!

Candidly. I guess I'd say it looks boyish to me. Makes a woman look too boyish, which. Not man-ish, but boyish with rounded pre-pubescent features. Super turn off to me. I'm pretty self aware, and if I were seeing someone who had short hair, I'd figure out how to get over it. But, I'd gently suggest I prefer long hair. But, my immediate, visceral reaction is ewww, looks like a little boy.
I guess it's not so black or white for me. If I think of say, Audrey Hepburn, with her short hair. She looks great! But her features make the style work well, which in my view is rare among women with short hair.
I always prefer women with longer hair as it is something i see as a woman thing. Noticing that older women are having shorter and shorter hair as they get older. Just die the grey hair out and keep it long.
