What makes it especially interesting is that Blacked had quickly become the #3 channel on Pornhub, with something like half a billion views in its first year. And when you consider that the only 2 channels that had more total views were long established brands like Brazzers and Fake Taxi, which both had 5-10 times as many videos, it was apparent that pound-for-pound, or scene-for-scene, Blacked was the #1 most popular channel. My guess is that the owners of Blacked figured they don't need to play ball with Pornhub. But interestingly, they still have official channels on Xvideos. So at first I was thinking they just decided to tell all the tube sites to piss off, but it's actually clever that they have still kept that extended preview tap on for Xvideos. That has to amount to traffic lost for Pornhub is traffic gained for Xvideos. I realize it's just a drop in the bucket of overall traffic, but still, they were the most popular channel on there. I just find it really interesting. I wonder if they made an official statement on it anywhere? Probably not. Anyway I just like reading the comments on their official tubesite uploads. But I think it's good that they have the power to say fuck you to the tube sites when they want. Hopefully it's a sign that forces tube sites to bend more to content creators. Quick primer on how affiliates work: You receive promotional material and use it to direct traffic to the site. If someone joins the site directly from your promotional material, you get paid either a flat fee or a percentage of what they signed up for. If Blacked got rid of their "official" channel, that may just mean that Pornhub wasn't bringing in an amount of traffic to the main site that would justify the work in keeping up said official channel. Or it could mean that they were doing so well as an affiliate that Blacked didn't want to have to pay them as an affiliate anymore, and will just rely on other people to upload their promotional material to Pornhub without the official links and hope people migrate to the site naturally. That's how it seems to me, like the tube sites basically imply, "We'll make sure any leaks of your content will get pulled, as long as you put up extended previews, otherwise we can't really be expected to stop users from uploading your content." But you're right, one way or another Blacked&Co have deemed a month or so ago that Pornhub isn't holding up their end. Yet their Xvideos channel is still active as of last week. I do regret that they felt it necessary to purge all their previews though, because as I said the main appeal to that was reading the comments, and I also like seeing how popular the scenes are to the public. Xvideos isn't as big as Pornhub, but one of the Blacked clips on there has over 15 million views. I just thought it was interesting 2 years ago when I realized Blacked was actually using Pornhub to self-promote. I know Jules Jordan is staunchly opposed to tube sites and would never cooperate or "play ball" with them, which is curious because Jules has a distribution partnership with Blacked. [Link] |

Go back and watch scenes from the first 2 years and there was just so much more care and personality brought to the work, still some of the most erotic and pleasing porn i have seen.
