Hi guys, It's not only me who has been caught out, I lifted these from an other forum site. _______________________________________________________________________________________ I too have been caught out by that small tick in the box which means you get membership for another web site when you had no intention of. The fact that they charge us in Sterling instead of dollars leaves a nasty taste in mouth. I have known this for a while now but with the same charging mechanism for HD files - that is taking things too far. I joined RK again yesterday and they charged $24.95. Yes that is dollars. So I'll be here until my membership runs out next month and I won't be coming back.. But they have had my money and don't give a shit... _______________________________________________________________________________________ For Brazzers to charge UK customers in Sterling instead of Dollars they must have a program or some sort of code which states that a user is UK based so charge them in their local currency. It cannot happen by accident. So they are purposely fraudulently extracting extra money out of UK customers. Isn't this illegal somehow? I buy plenty of other stuff from US websites (not just porn) and Brazzers is the only one to charge me in UK pounds instead of dollars without my knowledge. _______________________________________________________________________________________ Normally if an american pays 94 USD like ------- said people in Europe should pay +- 67 EUR and the British should pay 58 GBP. But that isn't what they charging sometimes for british people they say +- 94 GPB and for people in Europe the price is 66.95, 75.95, 85.95 or 95.95 depending on when you look (believe me I saw all 4). ________________________________________________________________________________________ Brazzers does have strange rates. I subscribed and paid in euros. But everytime I checked the price (before I subscribed) it said something else. It varies between 66.95 euros and 96.95 euros for a year subscription. That's a difference of 30 euro!! And it just depends on when you look. Is this normal? My card company has told me that big online company's are very cleaver at what they do, as I pressed ok with a ticked box it is my fault. They said they get hundreds of problems a week with online company's, the big one's have lawyers check their pages so there is no comeback. I will wear asbestos gloves next time, so I won't get my fingers burnt again.
This really reflects very badly on Brazzers. It will hopefully develop into a PR nightmare for them now that this unethical practice of theirs is being aired in a forum like this as well as other forums. Hopefully Bramm can convey to the powers that be what a serious dent their "name" is likely to suffer as the various forums continue to warn the unwary to be cautious when dealing with them.

Brazzers and their shady cross sales billing practice is only the tip of the iceberg. They own a few of the largest tube sites on the net. As you know, the tube sites are a haven for stolen content... full length scenes. Now, that's a great thing for the porn consumer, but it's another thing that's slowly destroying our industry. It's sad to see established sites and many new sites too not sticking with ccbill or the like. Trust is everything in internet purchases, and there are now a lot of problems with a lot of big names in porn - not just Brazzers, several others using in-house billing too (some try to fake independent billing through a separate domain, but to anyone who knows how to check into it, they're one in the same). Read some other fraud complaints from sites one would never have though to question in the past, as well as login issues from big BIG name producers =( I dream of the day porn producers finally cooperate with each other and create a single payee system ala iTunes - like hotmovies but better than their crap 1mbps video, like clips4sale but cheaper than $1/min! Ddfbeauties.com is the one that has a great model in my eyes, and they use ccbill =) just figure out how to expand that to include most everything out there.
I avoid ccbill like the plague. A couple of months ago I bought some VOD movies for 200$. Since I live in Europe and stated on the ccbill page that I wanted to pay in Dollars (they had an option where you could choose the currency and since it was an American site it never occured to me that paying in Dollars could be a problem) I was prepared to pay 120 Euros or something like that. Instead they charged me in Euros and I ended up paying 80 Euros more than I would like to have paid. When I complained about this they said they couldn't do anything about it because the transaction went through and it is out of their hands.[xx)] I could have claimed my money back but I didn't want to hurt the owner of the site who had nothing to do with this. But I've never had problems with trial memberships though. I've joined dozens of sites and always only paid the amount for the trial. Cancelling has never been a problem. The problem is that Brazzers aren't using a third party billing company, instead they have their own system which isn't working. I took the trial membership and tried to cancel it immediately on several occasions but guess what? The cancelling site didn't accept my username and password and when I sent e-mails to them asking for the membership to be cancelled it took them a few a days to answer. By that time the membership had been automatically renewed and they charged me the price for full membership. I asked for a refund many times but to no avail so the best I can do is at least to discourage other people of joining the site.

Extra extra Latest Brazzers Update. Brazzers has stopped my access to their site, Hurrah!! it's over, But hang on!!!!! they took my money for my unwanted membership on July 1st, it is July 26th. So as a final gesture, Brazzers don't even give me a full month for my overpriced membership. Brazzers cyber mug me, go away then came back later and wring what little faith I have in mankind out of me. Mind you, the unwanted Brazzersreel membership is still active, but I just can't bring myself to browse the site. Lets hope it's not for much longer, It should cease on August 3rd.
A. read the terms before you purchase. B. screenshots for anything you feel unsure about. I like SnagIt but there are lots of programs out there. Printscreen works fine also. C. Surprised no one has mentioned secure cards yet. I use the PayPal plug-in. Make your purchase, verify that you are charged and then cancel the card. No more worries. PayPal plug-in Paypal gets a lot of shit for things they do. You have to be aware of what they are good for and what to watch out for. This plug-in is the main reason I use them. I think all paysites operate like that, immediately killing your access the moment you request cancellation. The preferred (and ethical) way to do it would be to allow continued access until your paid-up period has elapsed. I'm sure it's a ploy to lure you to procrastinate on cancelling, thereby increasing your chance of forgetting to cancel in time to prevent automatic rebilling.

This is definitely an issue, no misreading of terms as I made sure I checked everything. They basically don’t allow you to cancel which is a disgrace, really pissed me off. As with someone else, I wanted to cancel a trial but their system wont recognise my pass, so it looks like I’ll have to cancel my card to prevent them charging me further. There is no excuse for it, I’d urge anyone from joining Brazzers. I got enough problems without trying to chase up money from some fucking porn site!
Dear Jettyman, I recently found myself in the same position as you. I signed up for a Brazzers two day membership for $1 and also for the Brazzersreel membership. I was aware of the Brazzersreel membership and quickly cancelled this within this two days without any further problems. What has really annoyed me is the main site trial membership as though I cancelled this within two days, my credit card was charged £39.95 for a full membership. On speaking online today with a representative, I was told that before the final payment confirmation page, I left a box unticked whereby I gave my consent to go straight ahead for full membership. This has made me extremely angry for all the reasons already stated here. If someone has selected the option for a trial membership then this is what the person should get. Either way a decision about upgrading should not be made for you! Brazzers have just lost themselves another customer! Glad I could get that off my chest!

I will bump this topic every 3 or 4 weeks for a while, as I don't want anybody else falling foul of the Brazzers trial. I'm sorry you have been tricked out of money min1112, it's a shame you didn't read this thread beforehand, you got caught out with the exchange rate as well. Don't you feel sick when you've been mugged, I have got to wait about another 2 weeks before the charge will disappear off of my statement, then I won't be reminded that I've been mugged....J.
Maybe someone has already mentioned this, but VIRTUAL CREDIT CARD NUMBERS. Whenever i feel the urge to signup for a trial, i always create a new number with a limit of $1. So even if i forget to cancel, the card will be declined if they try to charge me. If your credit card doesn't have the functionality, get a new card that does.

I don't see how it can be illegal. You don't post-pay for porn, you pay upfront. If you don't pay, you don't get access. ^^^^^ fu_q I can't believe how many people don't know their credit card company offers the service (disposable credit cards). Bank of America offers it and calls it ShopSafe. It's a wonderful service and it's free. I've been using it for perhaps two years for any online purchases. It's very easy and there's even an option to accomodate recurring charges. You set how long the credit card is good for and for how much money. It can only be used then by the first online merchant that charges to it. So for example you could have $100 card made up and use it twice for $50 at newegg.com. Any other merchant trying to use it gets declined. At any time you can login and de-activate a card but it really isn't necessary. Hope this helps.
Hi guys, I carefully went through the registration for the $1 trial. You have to watch out for the BrazzersReel.com on one page but I think the major one that gets people is the one on the very last page, I've included a screen shot, it basically states that you would like a full month right away, its default checked. I felt mostly burnt when I actually entered the site with my "trial membership", this is the content that they allow you access to for your trial, WORD FOR WORD (cut and pasted) "As a brazzers trial member you have access to the following: 4 full length network scenes (streaming only) View or download all our scene screen caps and trailers" If this wasn't extremely amazingly limiting enough for you they also only allow you to watch the first 15min of the 4 "full length scenes" I actually intended to purchase the year membership but I figured I'd give it a quick look over to ensure they delivered on their promise. I guess the only promise they delivered on was the age old stereotype that porn sites are out to steal your money. I'm going back to spankwire...

That's tough luck iowagonzo, I thought it was bad when I was duped out of $94.00. You didn't notice the 2 e-mails, you thought Brazzers had duplicated the same e-mail. Like me you didn't untick a box and you got a membership you didn't want or know about. People thinking of joining Brazzers, read this thread and beware of the tick boxes.

Hi, Unfortunately I got across this thread after running into issues to cancel my 1.00 euro trial membership with brazzers. I am from Spain so I got really nervous thinking I would have to spend a lot of money calling them to the US to sort things out and that it would be impossible to sort things out before the trial period ended I registered yesterday [I was really careful to uncheck all the tricks they try to put in your way to register to other sites during your trial signup] and today I tried to cancel my membership through http://brazzerssupport.com/?action=cancel. I've tried to cancel account ID ********* through http://brazzerssupport.com/?action=cancel but the system always encounters an error and cannot complete the trial cancellation. This leaves me with no other available options to complete my decission of cancelling my trial within the trial period.
I thereby am writing you this email stating that effective Sunday 25th October 11:00 (GMT+1) and within the trial period of my account, I notificate you that I want to cancel my account and therefore not be billed anything more than 1.00€.
I would appreciate if you can confirm account cancellation via email response.

Nobody should join brazzers until they get a trustworthy processor like ccbill for example because now they're running a big scam because they handle the billing themselves.

Everything about the billing looks shady as all hell, the first page specifically states it is handled through epoch (which is a respectable company), but the next page is for "secureweb billing group" though the formatting looks exactly like an epoch signup page. After dodging numerous tricky up-sale "offers" Brazzers litters their sign-in with, I got in and downloaded the scene I wanted, but now I have no way of canceling the subscription! Using their web form as their instructions say, comes back and says it's an invalid username/password combination and cannot cancel the subscription. Shoot off an email to their provided support address, and that kicks back as blocked:I use a yahoo.com email address for porn, if they're not accepting incoming emails from them, well...

just_me, If you used the virtual credit card # for this purchase then you don't need to worry about cancelling. They'll find out they can't charge it again and cancel your subscription. I encourage everyone to see if their credit card company offers virtual credit card #'s. It puts you back in control of the situation as far as rebilling/cancelling.
