But I mean I could always instead grab their updates from "other" means, which is why I never understand companies like this who screw over those who still choose to pay...
For a site which has tons of content (such as Brazzers presumably), the pirates can't "redistribute" it all 100%; it is impractical due to sheer volume of stuff. So...if you are truly hooked on their content, you will not be satisfied with the crumbs or selected scenes the pirates choose, you have to subscribe to get what you want.
I hope this response isn't directed at me, because I know for a fact I can grab any scene of theirs at any time I want. The point is, I'm always willing to pay, but they on the other end must also be respectful to me. I'll still continue on my way, paying for what I consume. But I for damn sure know that there are plenty of others who will encounter what I did, what jettyman did, and the unnecessary stress will turn them into permanent non-payers. And that ain't good for anyone.
Maybe Brazzers is a bad example of the point I was trying to make, due to their immense popularity. Yeah I agree about the importance of good customer relations in today's climate.
I had the same thing happen to me just recently with M.I.L.F.Humiliation, they sent me an add thru E-mail offering a 2day trial for free.I wanted to see the Janet Mason video so I sign up making sure I click and un click everything I wanted or didn't want.The next morning I quit the site cause I didn't want the 30day membership. Low and behold, there's a 24.95 pentending charge to my account.This was over the weekend and the charge hadn't gone thru yet. So I called and bitch, they told me if I took the money back, I'd be put on a black list and wouldn't be able to use my card on the internet,worst yet, I see another charge for 38.95 to site I didn't even join. I call that site and told them to cancel my subscrition and put the 38.95 back into my account, I also told them they must have piggyback in on another account cause I didn't sign up for theirs. I'll be doing everything by mail from now on cause you can't trust pornographers.
You're right, I should rephrase that, some pornographers want to rip you off.By the way, I wonder if these billing companies know other companies are piggy backing in on their sign up. Also I'll admit to the fact some of the other companies are actually pretty good about sign up. I guess the key word is BECAREFUL!
^ You know, it's gotten to the point where you can't even update software you already own and paid for, without the installer(s) wanting to add the Yahoo toolbar and automatically sign you up for e-mail and offers from "selected" companies. And, unless you check and/or uncheck boxes very carefully, they will. I know it's still "possible," but try updating QuickTime without getting iTunes automatically installed along with it At some point this default "fuck the consumer" model, unless you opt out and/or check/uncheck all the right boxes, has to be stopped -- and I'm looking at you: banks, credit card issuers, insurance companies, doctors and health-care companies, online e-tailers, etc. Even run-of-the-mill websites are demanding more and more personal information and registering just to view their fucking sites. I recently had a retail porn site demand I register and provide address, e-mail and phone number information the other day, just to allow me to view the front cover and information on a title I was interested in. I didn't give it to them, of course. Instead, I just went on to any number of other reputable sites that don't engage in such data-mining practices.

Is this just a problem that happens for the trial memberships? I ask because a year ago this past October I signed up to a year's access @7.50 per month. The only catch was I had to pay all $90 bucks at once. Never had any problems.
Okay, I will give them *some* credit, as they have corrected the cancellation procedures on the site I joined, so now it officially states that my subscription will not renew. Still see what happens at the end of the 30 days, though they can't charge the number I gave them again, no sweat off my back. I still am very displeased that about every third login to their site I am hit with a page trying to up-sell more subscriptions and I have to carefully navigate through the clicks to best not be charged for something I don't want. Though I did get a reply on another forum about someone who joined much earlier than I did, and could not cancel at all before the 30 days and got hit with the recurring charge he did not want. But it seems they've fixed this issue of mine for now.
Hello There, New one on this forum, I have some trouble with Brazzers as well. Two days ago, I purchased a "two days trial offer" at 1$. But they charged me 59.90€ for that. I asked them why, and they told me that I purchased the "3 month subscription". Which I didn't. I'm on contact with them, and hope they can cancel this wrong subsription and refund me this amount. I'll let you know if they act like honest people or not.

I've had had the same happen and as a chick I should probably have known better. Lol!! Anyway have any of you tried reporting the charge to your credit card company. Just wondering if they could get my money back because I don't feel like I knowingly consented to these charges at all. I even agreed to pay $1US. And all the charges were in £'s which is way more.

As there is a new Brazzers topic on this forum this is just another reminder to anybody thinking of joining Brazzers using the trial membership. I’m not going to say don’t join Brazzers, yes it has some hot scenes, but just read the terms and conditions VERY carefully. It would be a good idea to read this thread so that you are aware of the mistakes other people including me have made in signing up on the trial membership….....J.
