I just had to cancel my membership with Bush DVD couple of days ago. Their shipping is slow now. It takes 4-5 days for their DVDs to reach me. When they began their business couple of years ago and I signed up with them their shipping was very speedy like 2-3 days, and I could get 2 shipments per week. There is a term that is called throtling, which means that rental companies can slow down the rental-shipping turnaround and the customer get's their DVDs slower than the regular shipping.
Many companies say that the United States Postal Service is to blame. But why would postal service slow down the shipping time? As far as I know USPS likes to do business/make money and does not want to have their "to deliver" shelves be piled up.
What do you think? Did you had similar experiences where shipping time was good but got worse?
It's always been hit or miss. I've been using them for about a couple of years. There have been times it takes 6 days and other times only 3 days. The rapid return has helped getting titles out quicker though. Since I have no other place to rent in my area, it's really my only means to rent good porn. By the way, I'm in SE PA.

Well, don't you think that there is something not right? I mean 3-6 days is something that is questionable.
3 days from the midwest to the west coast is considered average or standard. Having it stretch out to more, especially when weekends and holidays are involved, doesn't seem too out of the ordinary.

Alex, have you moved since you first tried Bush a couple of years ago? I ask because in some areas the USPS routing methods incur an extra 1 day delay.
I always check the postmark and it's always been the day they said they ship it...I'm leaning towards the problem being with the postal service, not Bush.
It should have been pretty easy to prove or disprove if you cross-referenced the postage meter stamp to the date they said they shipped. If that checks out and you report that the movie has been mailed back by using the 2 day rapid return option on the website you can be sure that you aren't being throttled.
nah, it always take 2-3 days from san diego, where they ship, to lil' ol' brooklyn. the rapid return is nice to cut a day or so off from the overall time. once, around thanksgiving, it took 6 days. but that was a holiday and the post office was closed and all. but overall, i've never had a problem
It's definitely not Bush. Times vary all the time. Sometimes I get dvd's in 2 days, others 5. I've always looked at the post mark and it's always correct. I do sometimes notice some post offices or mailboxes in my area seem to get to CA a little quicker..I don't know why. I'm in SE PA.
well, here in brooklyn, there are regular post offices and then something like regional shipping ones. and also, some post offices even have small satellite offices. so you have to work up the chain. this can sometimes make the shipping time take longer if you factor in post office to post office transfers
