^^ And that's why we can't even have the conversation out in the open. Because it always ends up like this. Edited by - whatsatelephonebill on 2/16/2015 6:32:35 PM
I dont'r get it about Carter's comment about doing IR is racist etc. Maybe in the past but surely not today. As mentioned you have great sites like Blacked, Archangel, HardX (by the greatest director Mason) who film great scenes winning lots of awards. Maybe Carter should talk to her doppelganger AJ Applegate or Tori Black who have no issues with it at all, as it should be.
From talking to all these girls, yes it is true today. Look at how all these fans get up in arms about it! I've had girls say their time lines were flooded about the IR issue. Also, I've heard from MANY girls that directors and producers advise girls not to do IR.
^ And that's one of the problems with Twitter. It really only takes 10-20 people flood someone's timeline (or one or two REALLY dedicated people, to be honest), so that actually means a little bit less than nothing in the grand scheme of things. I mean, you've got 30K-100K fans, and you're going to let a couple dozen of them dictate what you will or won't do? Edit: And I'm starting to come to the conclusion that most agents are actually trying to maximize the popularity of their performers more than they're actually trying to maximize their earnings. Which isn't the same thing. And way too many people think things should be done a certain way because they've always been done a certain way. Edited by - whatsatelephonebill on 2/24/2015 9:55:11 AM
The trailer for 'Manuel opens their asses 2' is also up: Trailer Damn her scene looks so incredible hot. The next weeks will be fantastic with so many new Carter stuff coming up. Can't wait for this.

I don't really think there is any other explanation.
The only way to get rid of the IR thing and fans buggering, is to just do it right from the start. Don't listen to these so called 'managers, directors, producers' who try to press girls into not doing it (purely for themselves for getting more money). Just do it like Tori Black right from the start and the whole IR thing stops being an issue. It shouldn't matter which color the performers have. In Europe it's a non issue, as it should be. Only in US porn is it still an issue, in 21st century! Edited by - makker on 2/24/2015 12:12:03 PM

^yuuup. if every chick was a anikka albrite or tori black or jada stevens or etc etc etc and just did it instead of waiting for a showcase or big check or whatever the fuk excuse they use there'd be no ir stigma at all but most arent as cool as the ones mentioned and thats why i save a lot of money on porn
LOL. It's the fans who make it an issue. How many threads 9n ADT have more than a few posts saying, "I would love to see so-and-so with a big black cock!" Why does it matter what color o erson your favorite performer is with??? It's a two way street.
Because it's occasionally nice to see someone that actually looks like you on screen. Or because some people like the contrast in color that comes with a white person and a black person having sex with each other. There are legitimate reasons to be interested in what color either performer in a scene is. Just because you personally don't care doesn't mean it's not important. And it's the industry that makes it an issue in terms of telling girls who are perfectly willing to do it not to because of "reasons". I've never had a problem with a girl who just doesn't want to. It's her prerogative who she does and doesn't want to work with. The only thing that really annoys me is when a girl wants to or is willing to do it, but someone else tells her that she'd be better off not doing it, which you yourself are saying happens ALL THE TIME. ^^I can understand the chocolate and vanilla appeal to a point, but color contrasts should be a multi-cultural ensemble. BBC should not simply be a catch all phrase. Edited by - Maxxx Stirner on 2/24/2015 8:09:29 PM
^ It shouldn't, but that's the power of marketing for you. Well, that and the fact that "BBC" will generally provide the greatest color contrast. Edited by - whatsatelephonebill on 2/24/2015 8:14:46 PM

Speaking as a mulatto(black by the silly one drop murcan' definition) I don't care to see someone who 'looks like me'(shares my or part of my phenotype is more like it) on screen in a problematically racialized manner that is part of a lingering legacy of American racial relations and history. Black men as it stands are fairly high standing but very type casted as is. You don't see black men on the erotic side of the spectrum for example. The fact is 'IR' is a fetishized representation of part of my phenotype(not race which is a stupid term) that reflects a problematic American reality. Edited by - Maxxx Stirner on 2/24/2015 8:19:13 PM
^ I completely agree with you. The extreme fetishization of IR is something that annoys me to no end, and it's why I can't bring myself to praise Blacked.com as being the "revolution of IR porn" that some people like to claim it to be. Which is why I'm happy that there are companies and producers out there that don't do that, it's just that almost no one gives them any credit for it. But there are people out there that are willing to take whatever they can get when it comes to IR porn.

^Well Evil Angel from what I know does not pay performers extra for an 'IR' scene. Ultimately you will need a few good people within the producer and agency sphere that puts an end to this. Agents not allowing the IR category to be among the others nor the ability for a given performer to say no to 'on black' sex along with more companies following Evil Angel's lead.

^Pretty soon Bill or one of the others is going to come in and tell us to knock it off on the ir discussion however I will point out that anal fetishism does not have the problematic issues for some that ir does. Essentially you are turning black men into an isolated circus class that are restricted in performing in the wider genres because of this. As someone who is a POC(with a sizable 3rd leg might I add), I would have issues with this sort of casting if I were to entertain getting into sexual media. Do you really want a perpetual future where black/mulatto men are hyper masculine cast cartoons? All this being a lingering legacy of American racism of course.
It's never been an issue to me what "race" the male preformer is in a scene. I'm an anal freak so I'll watch any IR scene that has anal. I have been disturbed by how obsessive some guys are about IR. But a lot of folks would say the same about me when it comes to anal. I wouldn't condemn anyone for their particular kink or fetish's.
not to derail the conversation ,but, Carter Cruise has the best twitter feed by a country mile among the porn stars... not to sound negative but a lot of the porn girls use twitter to get votes for various awards or make their Amazon wish list available or try to gets fans to call them for a fee... if I see one one more porn star tweet, "I'm online and available to talk" I'm gonna scream!!! Carter on the other hand engages fans and answers a lot of tweets from fans and calls some of them an idiot if it's called for...
YES, this annoys the hell out of me! There are girls who have had IR relationships in their personal life (maybe a white girl never had a white boyfriend or a black girl never had a black boyfriend etc) and when they start with their porn career, suddenly someone tells them not to do IR on camera! 😡😡That's crazy and outrageous! Just let the girl decide which scenes to do and with who. Maybe be your own agent, if you can handle it, and don't let somebody dictate what you can do and don't. OK maybe let's get back on-topic, back to the wonderful Carter Cruise. Edited by - makker on 2/25/2015 6:07:11 PM

Pure awesomeness! Man, she gets absolutely blasted with that second cumshot shown in the clip!
WOW that got out of control. I actually addressed all these concerns on my blog the other day and you can read it here: http://cartercruise.tumblr.com/post/111807450943/whats-your-thoughts-on-the-racism-in-porn-does Please read that before making assumptions :) Also, be aware that scenes get shot and don't always get released right away. Some projects take a while... Just keep that in mind so you don't end up having to put your foot in your mouth later! I've always planned on doing everything this industry has to offer. I didn't do anal before IR because I'm "racist," but because I was very new and got talked into it and told the scene wouldn't be released for a year. It was released two weeks later, so instead of being mad, I just went with it. My first DP was not scheduled, I showed up for a regular BBG and ended up getting DP'd. I'm a very go with the flow person, and I've been taking projects as they come to me. I obviously don't care about the money. I got paid a regular BBG rate for my first dp which could have been worth far more. It's not like companies are beating down my door to do IR, I haven't turned down any offers. No, I didn't REQUEST to do IR, but I also didn't request to do anal or DP. I was just on set and someone said, "wanna do DP?" And I was like sure let's do it. It's downright silly to attack a girl for leaving IR for last. If I was against it, I wouldn't do it at all, so just because you have to wait a few extra months than you did for anal, doesn't mean you need to get your panties in a wad or be a negative nancy. I've stated multiple times that I plan on going everything I haven't done this year, so sit back and relax kids.
I agree with you! It's just as wrong for managers and agents to tell a girl what she should and shouldn't do as it is for fans to harass girls. It hasn't been my personal experience though, so I don't know how common that actually is. Obviously Spiegler likes for us to do everything, so that's never been an issue for me.

First off, we're not in Europe, so that argument doesn't hold water. Secondly, what's wrong with being racist? That's the beauty of living in a free society, everyone is free to think or be what they want.

Or they don't like black guys and find the idea of being with them completely repulsive or disgusting and use the whole "agent" line as a deflection from the shit storm that would hit them if they said, "I don't like black guys! The whole I/R issue is a joke, just embrace the 75% of girls that do I/R and skip the ones that don't do it the same way one would avoid a particular company because they are condom only.
Thanks for replying. I've heard enough about Speigler to know that him saying something wasn't an issue with you, and you've always seemed like a straightforward enough person that when you said that you would do it, I took you for your word and it stopped being something I wondered about. My response was more about his statement that the only reason race is an issue in a scene is because fans make it one. As far as your blog, I see where you're coming from, but I disagree. It's a long conversation that I don't think is best for a reply in the middle of this thread, but honestly, I think the industry is racist in it's very nature, but not because of any agent or any performer or, arguably, any production company, and it's not because of any dislike or devaluing. It comes from the fact that porn is based on fantasies, and fantasies are based on archetypes and stereotypes, which while they can be fun to play out, can put all performers, and especially ethnic performers, in a box that it's really, really hard to break out of. And the declining sales making everyone afraid to take risks isn't helping things at all. And until more producers start to understand you can make porn of people with different races without having to point out at any point in the scene that the people are of different races, then things aren't really going to change.
^ She really does. She's one of the most eloquent and self-assured advocates for the industry today. It was refreshing to read an article about porn from a mainstream publication that wasn't rife with the usual knee-jerk caveats about industry abuses and hand-wringing over whether watching porn makes you a bad person. Thanks for posting the article. Edited by - Mister Fahrenheit on 3/10/2015 2:06:48 PM
