With all due respect, you are missing the point. This has nothing to do with their careers. What a performer does as a professional and what a performer does in their personal life are two totally different things. What matters is what happened leading up to the attack and the attack. I have no doubt that he will be convicted of something, it is just a matter of sentencing. And I am sure that most of us have seen enough legal cases to know how important credible witnesses are. As for me, I think there is alot more to the story than she has told. I also think that nothing justifies a man beating the living shit out of a woman. If the DA feels she is not credible enough, he/she could very well offer a plea deal for this guy. Also I don't buy his statements , as far as I understand it all happened at night , he said he wanted to give her an engagement ring , firstly that means they weren't engaged yet , secondly she had to accept yet and considering she was dating other people there's no certainty she would have. Furthermore it is very unlikely that anybody who wants to give an engagement ring to a woman would do by complete surprise blitzing in her house at night not even knowing whether she was at home or not , especially in her line of work, especially in Vegas. She could have been feature dancing , or signing somewhere or shooting somewhere else and if he knew her schedules then should have known she wasn't free that night whatever excuse she used with him , she certainly didn't want him to meet her date. Unless he arrived earlier she wasn't at home , then she waited for her to come back with her date then blitzed in. So his momentary insanity is likely a lie Also has it been confirmed she was actually banging her date? or it's just his statement? Also witnesses of what? Today in interviews, Dog is continuing to give law enforcement the full credit. This again further shows you that he never did this for the spotlight or his own benefit. He just wanted to help get this man behind bars.
^ Or they earned all the credit , did ever occurred to you that the police , US Marshals (I'm not fully aware of their status I'm not American are they federal?) or whatever already knew where he was and were taking their times to intercept his phonecalls , his messages, his accomplices if any , possible witnesses to call and things like this? Did ever occurred to you or anybody else that people looking for him from everywhere may have forced the actual authorities to rush the arrest and possibly ruining any chance to get him condemned? The authorities got some of their information from Dog that led them to capture War Machine. Why is that such a bad thing? I don't get people hijacking this just to make fun of the bounty hunter. The standard isn't "proof" - it's "beyond a reasonable doubt", with an emphasis on "reasonable". Twitter records the IP address a tweet comes from. The cell phone company records the unique serial number of the cell phone using that IP address (or can accurately retrieve it if they record something else). Each cell tower accurately records which cell phones are connected to it (by unique serial number) and when. The tower might also record received signal strength. This won't be the first case to need to establish a connection between a particular cell phone and the defendant.... The prosecution knows what it takes to convince a jury and the cops have a lot of practice collecting the evidence.
I have no doubt that police have a lot of experience in collecting evidence. I was going based on my profession, where unless I have a statement from the person stating they made the Twitter post, the best I can say is according to a post on [whomever's] Twitter account. Police have far more available resources than I do. I would think beyond reasonable doubt would have to somehow put the cell phone in his hand at the time. It may be more useful when piled together with Christy Mack's account, the other male's account, witnesses, tire marks from his vehicle (if found). Alone though I would think that reasonable doubt on that part could exist. Don't take any of this to mean I feel he should get off from the alleged attack. So far everything looks like he is guilty to me.
Indeed. I looked at Dog's twitter a couple of times and never got the impression he launching a serious effort to find WM. He was putting on a show for his fans,and was taunting WM nonstop, but I think the rest was Dog's legend getting face time in the media. On the positive side Dog is probably the one that drove this into mainstream media coverage. He started tweeting and making a ruckus over it several days before it caught traction elsewhere. Two other things: Dog has been in the business of capturing extremely dangerous people for years, and he's still alive. Clearly there's a lot more here than wild-man TV persona implies.

He was on the run from beating the hell out of Mack, and still found a girl who wanted to be with him, and he was knocking her around too. This is why I advocated a permanent solution, girls will not stop trying to be with him and he will never stop abusing.

I don't like getting involved in these thread fights, but really earthwindfire is not really comprehending the general news as I've read. First of all there seems to be no credible proof this bounty hunter fellow ever was close to finding the fugitive War Machine. Most bounty hunters just go collect up guys who bail and the bail company is trying to find them so they don't lose their investment. I'm sure the law enforcement officers have access to resources way beyond bounty hunters. Second, there seems to be no evidence the lady getting roughed at the hotel by (presumably War Machine) was even with WM. It could have been another hotel guest, worker or a passerby who was trying to calm down the agitated WM. That's all I'm going to say on this subject.

What if Christy refuses to press charges against WM because she still loves him, would the DA be able to press charges ? I bet WM will have a fun time in prison since he was already on probation from what I understand. Everyone in prison will know who he is and that he's a woman beater and want to teach him a lesson. I wonder if he would be eligible for protective isolation in prison like so many of the really famous bad offenders who committed heinous crimes.

Yeah, that is the fear that she backs out of charges. That is very possible and he will be saying everything he can to get that to happen. I would think , with his attitude, a lot of guys in prison will want to lay him a beating. He will probably end up in Isolation/protective custody quite quickly. Not to protect people from his MMA shit, but to protect him from all the guys who think it would be cool to beat that douche up.
