And Yes, just as I said before, they'll be back together again.There is no silver lining to putting people in jail just for profit, and you're right that it's a horrible set-up. The other poster is right that it is nonsense like this that accounts for the U.S. having the highest prison population in the world, which is absolutely shameful. When private companies are allowed to fill their pockets and make millions of dollars from filling up prison cells, then you're just asking for even more widespread corruption in the judicial system. It's also very weird that he lost his fighting contract. So an organization that pays him to be violent and literally beat the blood out of other people for entertainment suddenly takes a moral stance against violence? Talk about irony. How do you encourage someone to be violent, and then somehow act shocked when you find out that they like beating the shit out of people all the time? I agree that men don't beat up women, but I elaborate on that to say that men also don't beat up men, and women don't beat up men, and women don't beat up women, etc. Why do people only have a problem with violence when it's perpetrated against one gender, but not violence in general?

The beatings he gave her before were public knowledge, but she kept going back. So, the fear was always that he was going to kill her. He came very close this time and this is just awful. Yes, she willingly stayed with him after several beatings. But that still, under no circumstance, justifies what he does and will continue to do. Assuming he is still alive after his jail term for this stuff, he will do it again to another girl. I just don't see the him letting himself be taken into custody without a fight or alive. Isn't even concerned enough about the fact that s/he has just been beaten up by a known violent lunatic, who is now alone with Christy, to go and try to get help, or make a 911 call? That aspect of the story sounds a little fishy.
^To be fair, nobody knows how badly War Machine beat up "the friend", so it's possible he probabaly couldn't even make a phone call after he was beaten up so badly. Either way, if they were really broken up, War Machine had no business getting upset with Christy and beating her up.
