I thought it as funny but it has a particular type of humor that doesn't appeal to everyone. I think that's it more that than being a generational thing. Even though I bought the SUPERBAD DVD I haven't seen it since seeing it in the theatre. If I remember correctly it was "raunchy" but didn't really have any nudity or sex in it so it might be a bad comparison to the other teen comedies mentioned here. One of the things I remember most about SUPERBAD was that they cast actors who looked more like typical high school kids than the model type most other movies do. The only other movie I remember to have a cast of average looking kids was NAPOLEAN DYNAMITE.

ON TEEN SEX COMEDIES: So, I thought Superbad was just okay. I used to get stoned a lot when I was younger and I think I saw it then, but sober a lot of movies like that just don't hold up. ^Oh God don't speak to me of Tropic of Thunder. I didn't see it in theaters but so many people were raving that it was a great comedy so I bought the dvd for 25$ and watched it once. I can say that once was too much. The only part I laughed was when the director stepped on the land mine and Stiller thinks it's all fake and keeps playing with his head as a prop. I even had a hard time giving the movie away because no one else wanted to see it.
Okay, see, I just laughed my ass off remembering that scene :) With Tropic Thunder it MIGHT be that I've worked in mainstream production and met people EXACTLY like those in the movie. My old boss when I was a costumer was just like Tom Cruise's character, all the way down to the Diet Coke! So, maybe it's like an inside joke? I also thought it had something in common with Blazing Sadles, so there's that too :) It made me laugh though, and that's what counts. A lot of the comedies like that now are RomComs, and as much as I'm a girl and I sometimes like that kind of thing, there's a lot of really stupid crap that comes out. Too much Rom, not enough Com, really. I liked the first Hangover too... And that had some of the elements of a sex comedy, but not quite enough to count. Hmmm.... Bitch Slap had enough comedy and sex, but it's really an action movie. Yeah, I'm stuck. The last funny thing I watched was Spaced on Netflix, and I just can't think of any good, modern teen sex movies :-/
^It's strange that you say that about the characters in Tropic because I got the feeling that it would be funnier to people in the industry for that very same reason. I'm not sure where Tom Cruise got the inspiration for his charatcer but I knew there had to be a real human being who's exactly like that in Hollywood. The movie felt like a big inside joke on the movie industry but because I'm not in it then I didn't get the jokes. I find that most of todays Rom-Com are neither romantic or funny. I think that too many of the modern directors think they can reinvent the wheel so instead of shooting a nice simple romantic comedy. They have instead chosen to go in a very different direction because surprises are fun....Only if they are good surprises. Getting rear-ended in traffic is a surprise but not a pleasant one. Instead of trying to come up with an original comedy(good luck with that one). They should instead remake old ones. Not 10years or even but anything that's 30 or more years old. I'm not sure if you are partial to B&W movie but if you are then take a look at the movie "It Started with Eve" starring Deanna Durbin. That movie is simply amazing and quite funny.

The best RomCom ever of the few I've ben able to sit through is WHEN HARRY MET SALLY. Proably because it had a accurate male point of view and was actually funny. The problem with most romantic comedies is you know the ending before it happens and the characters are mostly cardboard cutouts who just go through the motions. Plus, most of them star actresses that are "cutesy" but do noting for me. But then again I'm not the prime audience for RomComs. I actually have BITCH SLAP on DVD but never watched it for some reason. I just remember fastforwarding through it and thinking it looked stylishly shot and thinking I wanted to get back to it later. I think I have SPACED written down to watch at some point. Supposedly, COPPER'S CHRISTMAS is good and I've been meaning to get to that. It's not really a romantic comedy...but I watched BRIDESMAIDS and it didn't bowl me over like it did so many other people. There were funny parts and the story was kinda touching in a way but I didn't like it as much as the hype made it out to be. Good movie, just not as good as I thought. I think it's because it had more of a woman's slant to it.

I've only seen When Harry met Sally Once. It was good but there was something about it that bothered me. I'm not sure what it was and I'd have to sit through it again to find out. I loved Meg Ryan in Joe Versus the Vocano. Stupid name for a movie but a really great Rom-Com and the writting and phtography were superb. Meg played three different characters in that movie.

Hey Clayra... It seems that you don't do a lot of porn in comparison to some other pornstars and you don't live the porn girl lifesstyle for the most part. I was wondering if you were granted the power to be the type of pornstar you wanted and worked for/with any studio wanted as often as you wanted...how different would things be? For example, how often would you like to work, who would you like to work with/for, what type of movies would you prefer to make? Would you like to be a contract girl? Hardcore Gonzo chick? Features? The problem is that I live in Wisconsin, and have to travel anywhere to work. I shoot content every other week in Chicago right now, and that's all going toward launching my own site on the Naughty Alysha network. If I was in LA, I'd love to shoot 3-5 times a week. If I had the chance, I'd probably shoot more hardcore gonzo and fetish stuff. That's the stuff I like to watch, so... That said, I'd never turn down feature work, but I've seen footage of some of the low-budget soft core features I've been in, and I'm no Oscar contender. I prefer shoots that utilize long takes and less "directed" fucking. I can get into it then, as opposed to shoots where you start, then stop, then start again, then stop and reset for stills, and then start again, ad nauseum. My favorite studio to work for has been Kink. I trust the people there, and I'd do things for them and with them that I'd never try anywhere else. Princess Donna is the only director there that I know, so I've been a little timid (too timid) in approaching the others about working for them. Id gladly spend a week at the armory shooting for most, if not all of them, and just exploring fantasies and fucking on film in ways most people never get a chance to do in real life. To be entirely honest, I can't really say much about any of the bigger studios. I've never worked for Vivid, Hustler, Digital Playground, Adam & Eve, or the rest, so I really can't say much about which I'd love to shoot more with. I've tried to make contact with the Brazzers/Reality Kings/Mofos people down in Florida to no avail. Maybe they think I'm too fat/old/ugly, or whatever. Who knows? I also couldn't get LA Direct to rep me, so maybe there IS something wrong with me. In their eyes at least. I do what I can and keep on keeping on. I've never wanted to be a "big name" anyway, so it suits me. I like the anonymity that comes with being a low-level porn actress and nude model, but if given the opportunity, I wouldn't turn down any of the bigger companies. I'll get this site launched soon and we'll see what happens. Who knows. Maybe 27 is old enough to make MILF movies, right?

I'm a fan of those women when they appear in any movie. The thing I like about the supposed MILF movies is they tend to have more of that body type in one movie. It would actually be a good thing if you did some MILF movies. Your still young enough to not be stuck only doing MILF work like some of the older (40s and up) women do because they're considered too old or not goodlooking enough for anything else. You'd be able to do other stuff too. Even if you were stuck doing mostly MILF stuff the genre is so big you could still have steady work. Oh by the way, structurally you have pretty features facially but you don't (or I haven't seen you) go for that "pornstar/glamour" look that most porn girls go for. You seem to go for the more naturalistic look in many cases. I'd bet if you played up your eyes, lips, and hair more with more of that glamour look you'd get a better reaction from agents. The thing with Alysha's network is that it's mostly solo girl stuff anyway. I've got a Nikon L120 that will shoot HD and high quality JPEGs, and there's a handful of shooters out here that can help me out if need be. That said, if I fly out to Florida every now and again, I can get more footage and pics that way, and if this becomes a steady source of income, I can look at hiring people on my own for other shoots. I'm also active in the local swinger scene (I'm on SLS and Kasidie), so there's a chance that I might be able to find people to shoot with there.I don't know. Even with mainstream stuff, I've always been behind the scenes. I was a costumer/wardrobe tech before I finished college and went into porn and modeling. I agree that the features tend to be cookie cutter, and the parodies are old already. The only way you could be sure to make enough to make it worth your wild is to have enough stuff booked in advance to keep you busy the entire time you're out there and stay wth a friend for free or just a small amount of money and book a cheap flight.
