My buddy at school has a Canon 7D and we've used it to film some goofy stuff since it's got 1080p HD video capture on it. It came out looking good but I'd film with a video camera rather than a photo camera, even if it's in SD. You can always rent nicer cameras from camera shops if there are any in your area. It's good to have a mic, too, because if not the sound will probably be crappy. If you're concerned about still shots, you can always get a cheaper Canon EOS for like $600 and up. The key isn't how expensive or what the camera can do, you just have to put a competent person doing the shooting. You can shoot amazing pics on Rebel XT's (which is what I have) if you know what you're doing. It's all about the person who's shooting it. Same goes for video cameras. that's JUST my opinion though. that cover looks awesome, btw. [Link] |

The dream camera would be a Red One, but that's a pipe dream at this point. The 5D just seems like the most commercially affordable I guess. I've got a SD HDD Envirio, and I can never get the lighting right.
