I don't think it will have a lasting effect after COVID-19. Fans like myself like high quality production, especially in solo masturbation scenes. ^The lack of transparency with the OF is their biggest issue and I think cost is the second biggest issue because right now many a people that would normally buy membership to sites aren't because there is nothing new to justify buying those memberships so they have extra cash like I do but someone can quickly go through their porn budget if they plan to join multiple model OF pages. That is especially true if their expectations from those OF pages is some good to great porn because if it doesn't pan out then they will want to join more models OF accounts and so on.

I posted a comment on the Legal Porno thread earlier today about their pricing model and it got me thinking about whether or not Only Fans (and sites like it) have been at least partly behind LP jacking their prices up in the past couple of years. Anyone familiar with LP knows that their prices have increased a lot over the past few years. A few years ago it was rare to see a scene that cost more than seven or eight tickets - most were around four - and now it isn't hard to find many that are more than ten tickets.
I have very limited exposure to OF and sites like that. I was a member of Jynx Maze's OF site for a few months a couple of years ago and I have purchased some of the Perv City videos that aren't as edited as the ones on their site.
But my thought is this - with the rise of single-scene sales, and with some of the prices being high, does this give LP a good reason to increase their prices? If I can go on to OF or a similar site and buy a poorly shot, dimly lit solo video and pay $10 for it then it does make sense that LP would want to charge a lot more for a B/B/B/B/G video with DAP and peeing - especially since they have professional productions.

It wasn't rare, happened all the time. Specific examples are definitely lost to the mists of time and none of the better studios did it but there were a lot of production companies in the VHS era.
