Most of time, I prefer the former, so that's why I love Mason's work on DarkX. Gonzo is her forte, and what really sets the stage for a great gonzo scene IMO is a great tease intro, and Mason has the best taste in females of any director and she shoots the best teases bar none. Still, I would like to see Mason shoot some more narrative/scripted scenes for DarkX. I think the reason she doesn't is because she loves shooting the tease sequences so much, and it's funny when you think about it, the pose striking that females do in tease sequences make no sense in the majority of scripted scenes, because the whole point is posing for the camera, which obviously draws attention to it, breaking the 4th wall. STILL, I believe it's possible to conceive of a scene that has it both ways. A scene can introduce the female and male, and then just have the female do a striptease for the man, and Mason can just shoot it like her trademark tease intros, only when the female looks into the camera, we can imagine it's from the guy's perspective. But Mason can still shoot a real hot tease in a scripted scene. I really liked the Remy vs Rico scripted scene. That was very well executed. I'd love to see more like that. One idea I would suggest is, if we have returning stars like Kelsi Monroe for example, the next time will be a narrative scene. So each returning performer can have both a gonzo and a narrative scene. I'd really like to see Kelsi and Mandingo again, use the same music, but this time try a scenario like where Mandingo is a repair man come to fix air conditioning or something. Kelsi is hot and bothered, fanning herself inside, eyeing Mandingo through the window as he labors over the AC unit. Mission accomplished, he's her hero and she rewards him. Ya know.
