You must have missed at least half of them, but they are definitely setting up most scenes with plots. Allie Haze goes in for a massage. Cherie Deville has an affair with her physical trainer. Remy's dad owes a debt and Rico comes to collect. Look at how adorable her reaction is when she first sees him. And that scene with Angel Smalls, "The Only BBC For His Angel" is an ironic twist on the cheating girl theme. The trailer reveals she actually cheated on Jon Jon with another BBC, or another brotha anyway. So Jon Jon is going to have to lay it down and remind her why she has to stay loyal to him. Some of the scenarios are more passionate, some serious, and some are more playful, e.g. Piper's "Getting Over Her Fear of Heights" If anything, the truth appears the opposite of what you suggest, that there is in fact a distinct lack of gonzo. I am hopeful that gonzo isn't totally abandoned and we can still get some of Mason's voiceover as she directs. I enjoy her commentary, enthusiasm and creativity. It lends well to gonzo because it's spontaneous. A great recent example was the Piper Perri scene in Little Blondes Go Black. I also enjoy her interviews with the talent, both before and after a great scene. Mason has a great rapport with performers. And something about her energy translates to great performances. [Link] |

By still including the occasional gonzo scene, I don't think there's any reason for them to try and hide tattoos or be averse to hiring chicks with ink. One area I feel like Blacked is shooting themselves in the foot is in this tattoo-aversion inhibition. This I would think should be a great advantage for DarkX if they don't share this silly inhibition. Where Blacked falls short, that's where DarkX or others should take advantage. Mason is supremely gifted with gonzo. By now she could probably smash a gonzo scene out of the park in her sleep. I like hearing her interact with the performers on the fly. I would actually like to see her interview Dollie and even go over her tattoos and talk about them. Dollie is still new to me and I think this could be a good opportunity for DarkX to stand out. Kink.com had great success by posting the interviews Maitresse conducts with their talent. These don't have to be in-depth 60 Minutes style interviews, but just casual and fun. [Link] |
