If you have problem why do you not send a massage to our customerservice??? In stead of writing at Adultdvdtalk.
Maybe you work for one of the other companies.
Zorro is not much patient we did everything to solve this problem we DID send 20 disks with never arrived and gave his money back.Please tell me which company does that and what must we do more?.
Then that other customer who pays with an amex card must fill in his right email address so we can contact him because it`s impossible to pay with amex on adultsites in Holland. I would like to tell him, but he did not give his right email address.
I will repeat, we do SHIPPING FOR FREE, 100% guarantee of delivery and we have Worldlowest prices.
We will do everything, now and in the future, to keep our customers satisfied. That`s sometimes hard because of all different law`s in all different countries but we do our best and we hope all customers do trust us, now and in the future.

Kind regards,

For the record (too many times only angry customers make themselves heard and that's unfair to the retailer to have 999 happy customers -they are happy so they don't post- and a lone unsatisfied one -that one will make many posts- ) :

I've ordered several times from Erodvd.nl, never had any order missing and that's for titles that could have been seized here in the UK. I NEVER EVER had a better and more responsive service from a mail order retailer on the web (and believe me I do a lot of my shopping online, not only DVDs).

If a friend would ask me from what retailer he should buy adult DVDs, I would not hesitate one second before recommending Erodvd.nl, in fact I believe Erodvd.nl is the best thing that happened in recent years for adult dvd buyers in Europe (and maybe elsewhere).

LOW PRICES, FREE SHIPPING, LARGE INVENTORY (some titles you won't find elsewhere on the web).

So should ONE unsatisfied customer (however valid his recriminations might be) be allowed to ruin by his comments the business and reputation of erodvd.nl ?

Would we be better off without Erodvd.nl? I think not.

I invite other erodvd.nl customers to post their comments!

PS : I am not affiliated with or on the payroll from erodvd.nl but when I know a good thing I make a point to let other people know about it!

I did an order for testing how good is the delivery time,
it comes in 2 weeks, not bad for international airmail.

I think the recent delivery problem is because of the
tragedy of WTC, September 11, 2001.

I to think that erodvd is the best online adult store. You cant beat there prices, excellent customer service and quick shipping.
But i had to cancel my last order simply because my last parcel from them got opend up by HMS Customs :(
Once again a great company give them abit of credit for a change!! :)

Lie back and think of England!

But their website is ropey, non-secure, & not in full English.
Thats gonna put more people off buying than Zorro's thread.

I have ordered from Erodvd/Erovideo a couple of times without problems: the delivery was prompt and one time they had even taken precautions against the loose disc problem that tends to occur when DVDs are sent in mail.

I have taken an indefinite vacation from porn (*), but if I decide to end it, I'll certainly order from them again.

Even with the good service, there are some things I do not like about the site, things that give it a slightly "dodgy" feel.

First, there is the pop-up thing: when you leave one of the site, a browser window for the other site pops up. This is a small enough annoyance.

Secondly, the Java stuff seems to work correctly only with Micro$oft Internet Exploiter. (And is it really necessary to do everything with Java? It may be broken even for people who upgrade to IE6.)

Thirdly, the order processing is not secure even if it says so on the front page.

(*) Due to this "vacation" I shan't participate actively in these forums. (Exits, amid weak applause and a
few cries of "Good riddance!".)

Joey,
I think you have hit the nail on the head. All too often you never hear from people when they get good service but when there are problems they are soon advertising the facts on a public forum well before the matter has had time to resolve itself.

It takes a long time to build up a good reputation and a very short time to totally destroy it.

I have ordered many times from Eurodvd/Eurovideo and can vouch that they offer an excellent service with fast responses to any of my queries.

If I was a retailer in Eurodvd's shoes this incident would make me seriously reconsider the delivery guarantee policy.
Most retailers specify clearly they are not liable for lost orders or those confiscated by Customs and any replacements are at their discretion.

Any missing orders not seized by Customs should be reported to the Post Office. You may not get anything from them but it may form a trend that points to theft.

Who else in Europe other than Eurodvd offers the same product range and low prices? I have searched long and hard and believe me no one comes close.

Aline, rest assured that there are many more happy customers out there than unhappy ones so you must be doing something right.

Well, I think you guys have probably turned me around on them.

I guess I probably will try them again, rather than someone else. I'm the guy at the end of the other thread who had a delivery not happen for three weeks (not so bad, but it caused me to inquire) -- because it turns out they don't take Amex, but don't say so, or indicate that with a pull down menu or anything where they ask you to fill in your card information. Also I DID give them a correct email, and didn't hear from them, other than the immeidate automatic acknowledgement of placing the order -- which DID arrive.) But these are sins I guess I'll overlook.

Actually, I didn't even realize the shipping was free. If they say that on their site in English, I didn't see it. ANd it's certainly not in English where you complete the check out information. So free international shipping, I gather by UPS, makes their prices look much improved.

Often my orders have been received in under 1 week. The best was ordering on Tuesday, and receiving it on a Friday.

This quick delivery has set my expectations high, so when they take more than a week I start to worry. Today I received the completion of one order (3 weeks) and a new order, 10 days. The 10 day order was opened by customs on 1st October, and sent on with no DVD's being removed. The order contained 4 GGG DVD's. My faith in Eroddvd and the UK customs has been restored.

I have ordered twice from Erodvd. Delivery was six days for the first and ten for the second (which was inspected by UK Customs). I have no complaints at all about the service and the prices are cheap, some amazingly so.

I share the concerns about security. When I order from the website I don't give all my credit card number. I replace one digit that appears several times with 'x' and then send an email saying what 'x' is. Erodvd have been quite happy about this.

Security. It would be nice if the message was encrypted across the wire. I though am more worried about the security of servers.

Most cases I have heard of where credit card details have been acquired is from hacking into the server and accessing the lists of stored credit card details. I have not heard of any cases where the details have been picked up from the wire which SSL guards against.

Thus I do not worry about entering credit card details at erodvd, because I feel it unlikely they will be picked up on the wire, and if the server is hacked, then encryption is no guard because they will already be there unencrypted whether the server supports SSL or not.

Erodvd asked me to post this reply - as you will see from their e-mail, so here it is;

Here is the reply I got;

Hi Paul,

Here are the two papers so you can see we did give
permission to give money back.
It`s better for you never use internet again for ordering something.
I do not know how we had to solve it on a better way.
Last month,September, we have send 8 packages to Scotland, ALL recieved.

Kind regards,

Gerti Bakhuis
Erovideo

P.s.Thanks for writing at Adultdvdtalk.com and do not forget to post this massage too.

Now here are the REALLY interesting points;

Promised a refund on;

8/27
8/31
9/1
9/9 "We have given the creditcard permission to give money back so one of these days it must be at your account." - Aline
9/21 "We give you a refund, we allready did."

The refund authorisation was dated 9/28!!!!

Here is the best part;

Have a look at the date I posted details on here!!!!!

(If you didn't pick it up - look at the dates promised, the date I posted here (9/28) and the date the refund was authorised {9/28}!!)

So,just take extreme care with your orders people!

To say that "Zorro is not much patient we did everything to solve this problem we DID send 20 disks with never arrived and gave his money back", is a bit pathetic!!

They lied to me on at least 5 ocassions, from the beginning of August until the 9/28 (when I posted on here - a coincidence - dont' think so!!!) with regard to the refund, and I am supposed to believe they sent out replacement disks as well, that also went missing????

Why is it that I have managed to get over 550 disks from other companies WITH NO PROBLEMS at all?

Anyhow, it is now in the hands of my credit card company - full details as well as all copies of the e-mails containing the lies of the refund - I am fairly sure I will get a refund through them.

GERTI himself actually stated on the 9/21;

"Feel free to write at adultdvdtalk.com you will see that you are alone." - (appears I am not!!)

so I cannot see how they should get upset when I did exactly that!

This is not personal, I have made nothing up;

they lied to me repeatedly
banned me
and told me to write here

as far as I am concerned the matter is now closed, but if ero dvd want to drag this out any further, that is their choice.

Just to throw in my 2 cents, I've got nothing but praise for erodvd. Getting my order all set up was a complete pain in the ass--for them, not me, because I kept changing my mind, and Aline was, I think, patient with me beyond belief. It did take 3 weeks for my order to get to me (today!), but this is because it was sent out on Sept. 11th. A few days ago, when I emailed erodvd about my missing order, they did offer to send replacements, but thankfully I'm not going need them and will be returning them. I'm sorry if others have had a bad experience with them, regardless of who might be at fault, but I have all the confidence one can have in them and would not hesitate to buy from them again.

Oh, as someone else mentioned, as far as website security is concerned, I didn't even try to use the online form. I just emailed my order in and then divided up my payment info into several emails. Aline was very accomodating about this.

OK I think Erodvd.nl are the best but that doesn't mean I'm blind to the website's problems.

1- I could never get to work properly despite updating to the latest browsers and endlessly fiddling with the settings with no success whatsoever, this is the first time I have problems of this kind with a retail site (or any other site for that matter).

2- Secure online ordering? I very much doubt it... I E-mailed Erodvd.nl before my first order to get their fax number, which they gave me very promptly (again that's great, speedy customer service). I now send them all my orders by fax (much safer).

PS : Those not new to this forum know I have voiced these concerns before...

You would think Eurodvd.nl could manage to hire someone to make the order function on their site secure.

And as well to translate more of the Dutch into English, in their English language option version.

But at least the first wouldn't seem like such a big deal!!!

And MAKE CLEAR that they don't take Amex.

I have used erodvd.nl a couple of times and both times the service i have recieved is great.

My only moans are handwritten parcels which make H.M curious and the lack of a search facilty. Very useful when looking for a GGG video.

The damn browser that opens when you leave their site is also a pain, but hey with cheap discs with great service i can`t really moan.

Thanks Lazenby

Zorro,

As in my last post, I'm just going to offer facts and my own experiences by way of support and opinion.

While I can't comment on whether erodvd lied to you or not (because I'm just a spectator in this, like everyone but yourself and erodvd), my advice regarding recalcitrant companies still stands, if all else fails, I go to the CC company and let them sort it out for me. If it comes down to that, it always works. I've had to do it only once.

The CC companies are there to provide you with protection when shopping, because they make money from us shopping, they want us to feel safe shopping, and more importantly to spend, spend, spend!

The other thing I -can- talk about from personal experience, is that of missing parcels. I can tell you, that living here in Australia, I have indeed had a number of parcels go missing, from different retailers, and once, I did have dvds go missing, and then the resent ones also went missing. Luckily, I was able to work out a solution with the company without problems.

I also have an embarassingly large collection of dvds, but sadly I do find ordering from overseas to sometimes be a risky business, if you've ordered 550 with no problems in the post until now you have been far luckier than I.

I hope it all gets sorted out for the best, sooner rather than later,

cheers,

scipio

Erodvd has nice prices and free shipping, which is good.

But when I ordered a large bunch of DVDs from then, almost half of them were not shrinkwrapped, had fingerprints and small scatches on the underside of the disks, and one disc was very badly scratched.

I did not complain to them about this and swallowed it all, as is the nature of most consumers. But I would still expect from any store that DVDs ordered are new and shrinkwrapped.
