I'm like Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde
I married a hooker and now i'm bitter.
Also, the whole meat thing is just a reference to my defunked band The Meat Section.
I'm a big piece of meat and i like to rub my sausage between some warm buns sometimes.

I value ALL of the people who work in porn– women and men, in front of and behind the camera. They are all working to create a product that I value.
But I especially value female PERFORMERS. I lust after them. While I'm watching porn, I am not thinking about the P.A., the director, the lighting crew, or even the stud. To me, porn is first and foremost about the female performers, so I value them even more highly than others in the industry.

By far one of the weirdest and the most barely comprehensible threads in the recent history of this forum. We've gone from discussing the social stigma face by female performers, to the genocidal implications of metaphor usage, to the sanctity of ant life, and, finally, the necessity of a criminal justice system. We knocked this one out of the park, truly a tour de force of the nonsensical. We can all go home. Our work is done.

Working in porn doesn't "devalue" women. But there are many who choose to see it that way. It's very obvious that a lot of porn fans see pornstars as some sort of lesser being sexbots that should only exist to perform in ways they see fit. They see them as sexbots to do things to and don't really care if the girl wants to do it, likes it, or is hurt by it as long as their serves their jacking purposes. For those people they usually felt that way to a certain extent about women in general and the porn is just an outlet to see things done to women.
Working in porn can often empower a woman. Many of the smart girls have used porn to make money, gain a following, and become popular and things in their lives they wouldn't have been able to otherwise. It's just too bad they will always have to deal with the small minded people who feel the need to judge them negatively...especially their supposed "fans".

You keep pushing this agenda for some reason....do YOU have a problem with women in porn or women in general?
I would have no problem supporting a loved one in THEIR choice of career be it porn or working for minimum wage they would always gets my love and respect.
Funny how its always women on the receiving end,now take a male porn star..you know the type doing the same things on camera and suddenly he is the luckiest guy alive ,a stud, someone to look up to,a virile superhereo ...yawn yawn yawn..where is all that hate now,oh right its reserved for his co stars..the women with no morals etc

I think those massive facial movie´s are degrading in some kind of way. Destroying a girls face with numerous unsighted sperm bombs that often hit her open eyes is something many girls don´t like about their job. Even Maddy O Reily started yet a compaign against this pointless bombing of girls faces. Many horror storys were told about girls who hat to visit eye specialists due to a infection caused by sperm squirts into her open eyes. Another thing that happens quite often is that girls who were after the shoot so confused that they visited right after their shoot their parents. As a father you probaly wouldn´t be also that amused if your daughter comes home with a cum drenched face after a porn scene.
So I would say let the girls swallow again. OK Mason?

^ Because the father's opinion is what matters. It's amazing how some of you think. It's like women aren't even autonomous subjects. Just things with relationships to and effects on men.

There were times when porn girls had to bring their fathers the exact nr. of beer bottles compared to the number of spermloads they had swallowed this day in order to get access to the parents house again. Many father´s porn girls turned to alcoholics these days. I miss these days!

^ The only reason why I would hesitate is because of misogynistic hypocrites like many posting in this thread. Stigma is the primary reason sex work is ever dangerous or difficult. If we got rid of people like you and others wringing their hands about women soiling themselves for your pleasure and disappointing their daddies, I would tell female loved ones to go for it. In fact, even with people like you roaming around, I have told loved ones to go for it (and given appropriate warnings about the pricks they may encounter--and I don't mean the ones jizzing on them).

What is the question?
Is the question: Is a woman less worth as a human being after she has worked in porn (in front of the camera is probably meant), just because she has done that?
If "devalued" means that, then of course the answer is: No, a woman is just as much a human being before and after working in porn.
Treat her after that just as you treated her before.
...
I can understand why members thought that this question is so easy to solve and to answer that they left it aside immediately and went to other aspects (Do certain scenes/genres in Porn depict a degrading image of females etc.)

Does it make her less valuable to who ?
What about her self worth ?
How does she feel about herself after this work ?
When you are talking to your child about possible career choices, does porn come up as one of the choices ?
Being Honest with ourselves is a powerful step toward being over all healthy. Lieing to ones self about ones self is one of the worst things a person can do to themselves.

That would depend on the individual, and upon what her goals in doing porn were. If the unspoken question is whether porn is a good career I would say that it is generally too short-term to be considered a career. It is a way to make a lot of money in a short amount of time, without having an expensive degree, and without going outside the law. Whether or not you can save that money is another matter.
If the question is whether porn has social implications for the women who do it, then the answer is, of course it does. However, whether or not that matters depends upon the individual and what her longer term goals are. There are some professions - artist and professional chef being two that immediately come to mind, where what you used to do isn't nearly as important as what you can make. There are other professions where one doesn't interact with the public, and so one's public image, and past, are not a particular concern.
In other words, there is no 'one size fits all' answer.

First of all, i don't think the question was intended to be sexist. Women tend to recieve more focus than men (though whether or not working in porn is degrading to men is just as valid a question) I knew a women who liked to make drawings of nude models who told me that works with nude women were accepted while work with nude males generally were not. She herself found works with nude men unapealling. A similar line of thought seems to run through the societal view towards pornography.
As it was pointed out by previous posters, in general, its more the societal view of pornography than pornography itself that is the source of the degradation. Also, who you perform with and/or for is a factor as well. Sex is a huge part of a persons identity, and negative working experiences could lead a star/starlet to certainly feel devalued. I personally have a great deal of respect for porn stars, male and female alike. It takes serious guts to put oneself on display where nothing you have or do in bed is left to the imagination, and have to deal with all the "me me me" bullshit that comes with the entertainment industry. I couldn't do it. To look down on someone who is able to bare it all on camera, as well as do things they may not normally do in the bedroom privately just seems ridiculous. Personally, i think people who do regard porn stars as social outcasts do so out of envy, either for their courage, or their on screen sex lives or both.
Another point to note, those who judge porn stars as sluts, whores, bastards, deviants etc, do so mainly from what they see: what they do on camera. Many performers are completely different people off screen. People have different faces for different situations, natually we have a different face in the bedroom. My gf is quiet, unassuming and softspoken at any hour of the day, but in the bedroom she's a ravenous anal freak who constantly streams out dialog that would make Mike Adriano blush. I have a huge collection of Adriano flicks, but she watches them more than i do. Normally, she's the girl you'd bring home to mom, but when it comes to sex she's a completely different person. Adult performers are no different.
In the end, we can only be devalued if we let ourselves be.

I had a good friend who did sex work. I didn't think less of her and felt no need to encourage or discourage her from a decision she as an adult had made. She stopped doing sex work years ago and now is in a happy relationship and has a small child and is a great mom.

I find it puzzling that someone who has enough interest in porn to have an account on a site such as this would have such a view of the female performers. Yeah, they "guzzle" cum and some perform in more extreme styles of anal scenes. Some do blowbangs with a dozen men and some take multiple cocks in the ass at the same time.
So what?
Many of these performers are wonderful people. Some are not. As a fan, I would be delighted to date a porn star if I had the chance. You viewing them as "less valuable" than women who don't do porn says a lot about you and how you really feel about the industry and women in general.
Something tells me you don't "have fun" with any women.

Just because a woman fucks different guys on film doesn't mean they are her boyfriends. Many of these women are happily married; their husbands are just clearly more mature and more respectful than you and some other porn fans who hold your views. One can perform in porn films and still be faithful.
Tasha Reign wrote a letter to her parents who look down on her career and claim that no man is going to want her or take her seriously. I think you should read it and maybe consider adopting a different view.

And that's why i'm here, I enjoy the sex work that they do. Did you read my words wrong ?
I don't have any fun with women and I refuse to use a woman for sexual pleasure, but that's my business.
But would you encourage or even suggest it to a young woman you cared about ?
I wasn't talking about a woman who fucks different guys on film, i was talking about my wife who is a hooker.
And i'm sure they have many other qualities that i might not have. I'm not mature enough to have my wife make sex films.

SgtSausage(LOL it's hard to have a serious debate everytime the username is mentioned) sounds a lot more honest than you mysogyny accusers. You go from ignoring the question to answering "Oh yeah I'd totally encourage my female relatives and even daughters to do porn!". I don't believe that for one second. I know you all know that porn is not only glamour, there are shady people and situations that women have to go through and I don't think you'd want your daughter to be in that even if she 'really wanted it'.

Interesting comments by all. We live in a social media society, Information of all types is available to all including porn. Young men and women are exposed to porn and can easily become beguiled and lured into it. I've watched a lot of porn over the years and I liked it when I didn't know all the information, like the real names of the actors, or these obnoxious Twitter posts, where the girl tries to portray herself as the "girl next door" who just happens to "fuck, suck, and makes a buck" and then tweets about where she had lunch and playing with her cute little dog. It's like all of these girls use the same playbook with the neverending "selfies" and the rest.
Porn is one of those careers that once you're in, you're in. Camming, phone sex, dancing, escorting, and hitting the conventions are all part of the game. Girls have started at 18 and by the time their 21-22 are completely burned out. Once they're paid for a performance it's over. The producers, agents and others reap the long term benefits. As contract workers the "contractor" is not responsible for anything other than handing the actor a check, the rest is up to them. Also the girls family and relatives back home are subject to a lot of crap as well. All the attention and easy money is cool and exciting, but many wind up broke, addicted, in debt to the IRS, and worse. They become nothing more than ATM's with a vagina, and always looking over their shoulder at the new wave of "hotties" coming along.
I miss the good old days with Jenna, Janine, Tori, Ginger and the rest. I didn't give a shit where they were from or whatever, I just sat back and enjoyed the show!!

What was the reaction of Amber Rayne´s father after she came happily home from her 50 guy gokkun scene and she told him about the romantic way to swallow 50 loads at once ending with a major cum burb right into the camera? He welcomed her with open arms.

Wow!!! I never heard about that. There are quite a few "Cum Junkies" out there. One comes to mind when she posted a photo of herself looking like a meth addict in a mugshot and titled it "Cun Junkie" That seemed to begin the downfall. Like I said, it was better before all the personal stuff got out there. If I'm in Vegas and I want to do the escort thing, I'm paying for a fantasy, not a trip into the girl's personal life. A couple of years ago one young PS posted a phone txt on Insta about how she had dinner in Vegas with the president of Lamborghini and the other person txt'd "Oh you were rubbing elbows with the president" The PS txt'd back "Ha Ha, yeah I rubbed my mouth elbow on his dick elbow." I'm sure she was rewarded quite well. I'm also sure her family back home enjoyed reading that as well.
Like I said it was better back in the day.

Yes im sure i would think less of a few porn girls if i followed them on social media and found out a bit more about them but i dont and for me viewed in isolation as simply a great pair of ass tits and hair, they are on that basis in no way devalued , indeed their value to me is elevated to varying degrees depending on their physical attractiveness and their stage presence..
For sure some people disaprove of porn and doing porn will lower their opinion of you - its a personal judgement. But presumably adt forum members and porn enthusiasts generally dont think this as to attribute negative conotations to porn would also reflect negatively on they themselves.
The daughter coming home after a 50 man gokkun would be quite a sureal scenario, kindof like the female version of discovering your sons gay , youd just have to swallow your flabergism and continue being as supportive a parent as possible, but it would be quite mindblowing.

I wouldn't disrespect them because they do porn. Respect all life...except mosquitos.
But i hear that many women in porn wouldn't do a scene with a man who is bisexual.
I hear that many have left the set immediately after finding out that their male coworker has done a gay scene.
So people have their preferences. Everyone doesn't have to accept and be a part of what everyone is doing. It isn't equal like that.
Men and Women are build different sexually. So they are looked at different sexually, and treated differently sexually.
If you are a woman and you want to be treated how men are treated sexually, just say that.
It's like you want me to have the same facial expressions when presented a plate of roaches and a plate of raisins.
I'm not allowed to look at a plate of roaches differently from a plate of raisins,.......or you'll get mad. LoL....you'll get mad.

I just recently watched some clips of an interview with Phoenix Marie one of my favorite stars. Very interesting to have a glimpse of her personality.
I've also watched a few other interviews that gave me the indication that many don't really enjoy what they are doing all the time. This is a turn off for me, But it makes me value them moreso to hear their experiences.
Belladonna has a few interesting interviews... I think that the industry is flooded and it shouldn't be. Porn should be a respected art that's done right but society doesn't value women and it doesn't value life more than it values money. Untamed sexual appetites brings out the beast in man, and the lower we go, the more destructive and violent we get.

Its quite a romantic illusion that many seem to think pornstar parents arent aware what their daughter is doing on camera. 95% know their daughters stagename at one point of her carreer and with that information they can google and find out how many gangbangs or swallow blowbangs their little cutie did already.

Another topic that has gotten plenty of play - asked in one form or another.
None the less, it is worthy of the discussion.
A while back, and on another forum, a guy by the name of 'theorist' (anybody know this dude?) waxed on this more eloquently than i ever could.

Porn is not some great existential journey of self-discovery...It's not empowering or feminizing or any of that shit either. It's just porn. It's something that helps people have a more intense masturbatory experience. That's all it is. People watch, they fap, and then they forget about it.
Having said that, I don't think girls who do porn have been forever "ruined" by their experience. While porn may not be empowering, it's not demeaning either. It's just there. It just exists. If you understand what porn is and if you're willing to live with the way society will react to your decision to do porn, there's nothing wrong with it. Nobody should ever let society dictate their self-worth, but at the same time, porn stars do have to be willing to live with the Scarlet Letter society will bestow upon them.

I've been kinda following this girl for a while after I discovered her on video and then her Twitter. She started right after she turned 18 and was "all in" with a few "no-no's" Suddenly about 6 months ago she started Tweeting real cynical/sarcastic stuff and her AWL was useless without an email address. Now it's just horoscopes and nothing else. Looks like all the attention, and the "exciting" life wasn't what it was cracked up to be. Too much exposure and too much BS and hanging with the wrong crowd. Just like in any business, there's only so many spots at the top. One minute you're the "Hottest Teen In Porn" and the next minute you're gonna be 22. :-)

"Would you encourage your daughter or sister to do porn?"
I don't have a daughter, so I can only answer in regards to my sister. I would tell her not to pursue a career in porn, but the reason doesn't have anything to do with some kind of inherent lowering or degradation of her that comes with entering porn. The reason is that my sister has a history of sexual trauma so I don't think porn would be a mentally/emotionally healthy career choice for her. She also has a near pathological fear of public speaking, so if she told me she wanted to be a motivational speaker I would counsel her against that as well. I don't think pursuing a career as a motivational speaker is inherently demeaning either, it just wouldn't be a good fit for her.
The way the question is framed assumes away the fact that women are individuals with their own unique personalities and histories. It reduces them to abstract categories in order to find some kind of general principle. But the truth is that all women are concrete, actually existing individuals, so the answer will vary with each and every one. Unless of course, you assume that as a man you are obligated to exercise paternalistic control over the choices the women in your life make. Then the framing of the question begins to make sense.
