Is this still coming out in a few weeks?
Can't wait! Dont see it up for preorder yet at ADE.
Tricia, are you going to release stills as an appetite whetter like you did with the last one? Did screeners get sent to reviewers yet? Will it be available on Evilangel.com VOD before it's release on the 28th?
Can you tell that I am excited about this one???

PS- I'd look for it myself, but I'm really tired. Plus, it couldn't have been that difficult for you to do a search first for something that would have obviously already had a thread.
I was up till 2 am on Wednesday with Safado Berlin. Then till 2 am last night with last-minute stuff on Merc.

BTW, steph had me rewrite a bug chunk of the forum search code today. Some types of searches are much, much, much faster than they used to be. So there's no excuse for not searching the forum for answers any longer. In the past some types of searches would crap out. That's been fixed.

I did a search, and aside from the release date, none of those questions were answered

Sorry kh-
I was too tired before to coherently be able to say what I was thinking.
I wasn't trying to imply that your questions would be answered there.
I just didn't want another Fashionistas thread, and was going to continue talking about the Fashionistas movies there.
We will put stills up either on the Fashionistas site or on [ invalid url ], where the is a flash trailer which was talked about in the other thread.
I don't know if the VOD will be up first. There will most likely be less than a week time between end of editing and release of the DVD. Menus are already being developed, we're just waiting for editing to finish.
circus - sorry, the boxset is nowhere near ready. I can't even begin to commit to a release schedule on that, other than to say it's not likely to be in 2007.

Editing is officially finished on Fashionistas Safado: Berlin!!!!!!!
I am so happy with the way that it came out. It has a different feel from both the original Fashionistas and from Safado: The Challenge. John worked SO hard on the editing. The sex looks amazing. The whole movie is scored in a way that adds to it, not takes away from it.
The evilangel.com link in my above post has the trailer on it, and that is the feel of this movie.

thank GOD (just a phrase people :)) we have an amazing relationship with a replication house that gives us overnight turnaround, cause we're going to have to ship to the whole country pretty much overnight.

Yeah, looking forward to this baby. The extra time and effort I'm sure has matured this into a fine wine, or baked it like a burnt turkey... I'm betting on the former. Either way, I'm watching.

Thank goodness (a better phrase) for the AVN Award deadline. Without this externally imposed deadline, I could see John spending another full year editing this movie before he was fully satisfied.

So, since the original plan was for two single disc movies and the boxed set would also contain a "bonus disc" and a soundtrack disc, does this mean that Berlin ended up being a 2 disc movie, rather than a 1 disc movie with extras on the second disc?
When Safado came out, it included a coupon to be used toward the purchase of the boxset, which, at the time, was expected to be available at the same time as Berlin. Now that the boxset is there an updated plan to accommodate the people who purchase both of the individual movies, yet still want the boxset when it becomes available?

Now that I've bought Fashionistas Safado: Berlin (but haven't watched it yet), I can answer my first question. The movie is 4 hours 35 minutes long. So it is definitely a two disc movie, not one disc of movie & one disc of extra footage.
There is no coupon in this package, as there was in Safado: The Challenge, so my second question regarding an upgrade path to the boxset still stands.

I will most likely ask for the 1st coupon or the Berlin UPC code, along with a rebate included in the boxset.

Just a tip for everyone.
I've watched this movie on SO many players and systems.
The movie sounds best if you have your surround sound settings set to off.

Thanks, Tricia ... already given it a preliminary viewing. First impression: This is on a whole other level from F2. The fetish element is, to my generally fetish-unsaturated eyes, practically avant-garde. And, in many ways, it's a chance to watch Melissa Lauren fulfill all the nasty and forbidden things she first posted about wanting to do in porn on ADT three years ago. Rocco and Nacho occupy a lot of the storyline, but I think that Melissa is the real "star" of the movie. Along with the fetish costumes from Marquis. Annette Schwarz is present in a lot of scenes, and pretty amazingly so, as is Katsumi, though she plays a more enigmatic character ... All the sex is off-the-hook. Yet, within the intense, even demented, physicality, there's a real deep cerebral/psychological vibe that exerts a pull on the imagination, and does so in a way that I haven't really experienced watching anyone else's porno (except maybe some late 1970s fare, where some feature-porn seemed influenced by mainstream-headtrip filmmakers like Nicolas Roeg and Ken Russell ... not really the same deal w/F3, but the willingness to create a fully realized erotic dimension wholly removed from the "real" world, and having Rocco has a disoriented sexual traveler adrift within it, gave me some flashbacks).
That said, I think there are some fans of the original "Fashionistas" who will always prefer that one no matter what ... I'm sure there are things shot for F3 that didn't make the cut and would have mads it *really* outer limits erotica. As it is, it makes a lot of the last two editions look relatively meat and potatoes in comparison. My only immediate complaint is that it seems extremely serious in tone compared to F1, which had a fair degree of humor ("You know hass?") .... But I'll need to really sit still and watch the whole thing as intended ...

Haven't had time to sit and watch this beginning to end yet, but I got to watch a lot of it with John one night , while he was in marathon editing mode, trying to finish it.
It was great to hear his commentary about the actual shoots, etc.
I'm a sucker for a girl in rubber so for me it's an eye candy feast, but the scene with Nacho and Melissa, with Rocco filming, has to be one of the most intense things ever shot.
If you don't like this kind of thing, it will probably give you nightmares, but if you do, you gotta see this!
And Nacho's silhouette cum shot...I've never seen anything quite like that either.
(Does that sound gay???) LOL

Way to scare them off, Jake!
While Nacho and Melissa's sex scene is maybe the most intense thing John has EVER shot, it was the two performers who brought it there because that's where they wanted it. Then in Melissa's next dialogue scene in the movie, she explains perfectly why she wanted it. That line was originally ever-so-slightly different in the script, but when Melissa was describing to us how she felt, we knew that's how the line needed to be.

I'm part of the latter group. I liked Fashionistas, felt so-so about Part 2, but this one really turned me off. Just not my idea of what porn should be...far too misogynistic for my tastes. But if you're looking for something edgier, this certainly fits the bill, I'll give John Stagliano that much.

Misogyny (noun): hatred, dislike, or mistrust of women.
I don't expect that everyone will get turned on by rough sex, but I always bristle at the word misogyny being used to define it across the board.
When a woman asks to be fucked harder, how is it hatred towards that person to fuck her harder?
When I told Jazz that I would have loved for him to be able to finish what was started in my cameo, would that have been misogyny on his part if he had complied?

Stagliano should return to his roots- introducing big butt pretty girls like Jasper and Angela Summers.
Melissa Lauren doesn't even have a butt!

Skimmed through it with Wifey last night...not so sure you can jerk off to it...heavy fetish scenes...some very weird...the look of the flick is awesome, the vision John has for this is clear....but am not sure it is "hot" enough for the common raincoater to jack to....the "hard" scene with Nacho and Melissa didn't turn either of us on...and we are not against hard sex.
Visually it is great.
Just not sure how I feel about it as a porno movie.

Why is no one talking about this? Have they just not seen it yet?
Gettin' kinda worried that everyone is saying you can't jack to it/it turned them off.
Will hold judgement till I see it......

It has a different "edge." If you think of regular gonzo as meat and potatoes/burger and fries, this is like really expensive sushi ... of course it's whackable ... but I think the idea is to submit to a kind of psycho-erotic flow when you watch it. The movie lends itself to a higher level of enjoyment that isn't solely about whacking ... maybe that's what some other folks have been trying to say?

This movie isn't supposed to be jackoff material. The first one definitely isn't, so I'm sure the sequels wouldn't be any different.

BTW, I knew what the word meant, and stand by my statement. Just because the ACTORS aren't that way doesn't mean the CHARACTERS can't come off that way.
The movie definitely wasn't "whackable" for me, either...although the first one certainly was (the second was a mixed batch...some scenes were, some scenes weren't).
