Today I was informed that my DVD ordered from Five Star has been confiscated by German customs. Usually it was safe to order from Five Star because they used the nice remailing via Denmark, i.e. those packages were treated like mail within the EU, so there was no check by customs. If I may believe the photocopy of the envelope the customs office sent me, then the DVD was sent via Denmark as well. I don't know how customs got interested in this package (the photocopy is too dark to read Five Star's customs declaration, but if they declared correctly then the total price was below the critical 22 EUR mark), but they did and my DVD is gone :-( German customs are very active right now, so it looks like they start to learn the various tricks. So, to all buyers in Germany, be careful when ordering from Five Star!

Hi,
Welcome to the club . That´s exactly why i stopped ordering myself at all. I´ve had it up to my nose with those morons. Don´t you guys think they have their ears and eyes everywhere knowadays ? That´s why discussing ´tricks´ in public is not such a good idea !

I order from www.adultdvdboxoffice.com. They use remailing via france. Ordered a lot from them. They send each DVD seperate. No shipping was checked by the customs yet.
They don't have a stock status, so sometimes orders can take a little bit longer. Prices are higher but shipping is included!

Thank god I live in Holland, customs are cool here, no matter what kind of DVD you buy and I hope they stay this way. Why are they so tough in Germany? I don't get it. Would you mind telling which title you ordered from Five Star?

Am I correct in saying the problem is that it is illegal in Germany to put hardcore material into the mailing service?

It is certainly a crazy situation: in the UK we can't buy in stores and have to buy mail order, in Germany vice versa.

Nothing special, "Black Heart" (Plum) with the wonderful Inari Vachs. But here in Germany porn is porn,
doesn't matter if it's anything nasty or not: mailing porn is not allowed (protection of minors).

It's a real loss. In many cases Five Star's prices were the best by far (and safe shipping until now), but I
won't risk ordering from them for a while. So EroDVD, new specials please! ;-)

Beinga satellite enthusiast, I was staggered to see all their broadcasts of porn were soft-core. Apparently, people in Germany are not allowed to view hard-core on satellite. And I thought the UK was bad! Least we're allowed to import hard-core and buy adult hard-core satellite cards, like Ultra Blue and SexView.

Hi,
Yep, it´s really nice here If the legislation does not know how to protect anybody against anything they start to discriminate the others. I often wondered why certain things seem to work in other countries and not in ´good ol germany´

These people will never learn that they can try to make it hard for a fan of adult entertainment ... but ... there will always be a way !!

But not everything is to blame on the legislation. Why is it impossible to buy original US DVDs and VHS in Germany ?
(let´s forget about the TV standard for a minute shall we)

I guess the companies have no interrest in serving a few people. Plus they sell the rights to german companies which then will release those titles in their own way. Which is often a farce. You hardly ever get to read who is in the movie, lame dubbing, sometimes a 140 minut movie is being butchered into several tapes. I could go on forever. Not to mention a one to two year delay before the movies finally make it over here (if they ever make it at all)... and if you are lucky to find them and able to ID them.
