I did a search and couldn't find another thread on this topic.....I hope I'm not going to piss anybody off. First off....I have no problem AT ALL with Tranny/shemale/ladyboy porn. I mean c'mon.....Kimber James and Vanity are fucking hot! But I have a major issue with male porn talent crossing over to the mainstream and nobody seems to care. Specifically......Christian. I'm REALLY pissed that these gorgeous girls continue to work with this guy! Jenni Lee and Gia Dimarco are the latest two. I mean.... He JUST made a movie last year called Shemale Cops. OK....I know he's made a bunch of tranny movies. Like I said, I have no problem with that at all. Well in this one he's a "bottom"....he takes it in the ass and eats a load!I kept hearing all this bullshit about him and decided I'd look him up on IAFD. Turns out he's taken it in the ass a bunch of times, and these girls are fucking this idiot bareback!! I just don't get it.... Chris Strokes is another one.....except he made straight up gay porn. But he must be doing something right....he's married to Angelina Valentine. If someone can explain this shit to me, I'm listening. I don't mean to piss anybody off.
Yeah posts like yours never seem to piss anyone off. There may not be any direct threads directed about/at Christian on this topic, but your hardly the first to bring it up in this forum. I'm guessing you know Christian is a member here, although I'll stop short of thinking your trolling just to see if you can piss him off. You wouldn't be the first though.
I don't understand your logic. Why does this amaze you so? It seems more like you have a personal problem with men who live as "men" and perform as both "top" and "bottom" in multiple genres. Why?
Oh, and for those interested in the actual thread topic (I assume "mainstream" means "straight"? Or, "straight-ish"?), as opposed to ranting about a specific person, there's this thread.
I don't like the idea of "crossovers", barebacking dudes, tranny's (dudes with wigs) & girls isn't something I support, even if they get tested regularly, I think they should stick to one type of porn, why are you doing gay, tranny & str8 porn at the same time? however, I don't look at a DVD or a xxx scene for the dude, I only look at the girls.
You do it for the money, duh. And you can shoot exclusively with genetic females just as soon as you get in the game. Until then, don't concern yourself with who's fucking who. You have no idea who's doing what and with who off camera. If a girl doesn't want to work with someone, they just refuse. And it happens all the time.
First off I had no idea Christian posts here, and I have no agenda. From a health and safety standpoint it simply makes no sense to me. I have no problem personally if someone needs to be a top, bottom, side...whatever. I've always been under the impression that being penetrated is more dangerous health wise than the opposite. Jesus....I truly wish I never posted anything. I had no idea it would create such a shitstorm. I simply noticed Christian in the latest Jenni Lee video fucking her bareback and it irritated me. THEN....after I went to IAFD and saw the other videos both he and Chris Stokes made, I was pissed at the stupidity. I thought by posting here I could get the shit off my chest, while at the same time get other opinions. I have no other agenda. I'm in no way a homophobe or think men and women should be locked into some kind of preconceived gender role....nothing of the sort. I apologize if I came across that way. It wasn't my intention.

twistedvincent, Pretty sure gay isn't the correct nomenclature in this situation. You could maybe google bisexual. Could be informative for you. If they're passing their tests what business is it of your's? Besides women can still choose to not work with Christian and Chris Strokes. No one is being forced to do anything. I'm hoping that isn't an ignorant assumption on my part, but I have faith that no one is doing anything against their will in porn. Why be suprised that Chris is married to Angelina Valentine? It never occured to you that some women like bi men? There's also a good bit of "A" list female talent that has done bi movies. Should they be shunned too?

Oh....I forgot to add. Another reason I got so irritated is I've been reading about how California is bent on passing laws that require condoms on porn sets and I'm thinking why are these fuckers giving them ammo. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm not particularly fond of the idea of condoms being mandatory in porn. All I'm saying is....and obviously this is just my opinion. These guys should pick their genre.....gay or straight porn. Otherwise it's just asking for trouble in more ways than one.
^ Yet trans performers are not a problem for you in the same way? Is this because they "look like a woman," so that means they are somehow less prone to the dangers you're talking about?
Well it looks like you've been here about 2 years, so it's possible you never saw any of Christian's posts. I don't think he's posted in a little while, but make no mistake, he is a member here. Whether you intended it or not, you've essentially called him out. Again everything you mentioned, mandatory condom use, std testing in porn, actors outside the industry and inside the industry sexual behavior, has been discussed at length here. Not saying you have no right to bring it up yet again, just saying they are hardly new arguments or discussions here. Far as I'm concerned, there is always gonna be a certain amount of risk for sex performers in adult films unless people are tested before every scene they do, and even then they'll probably be a slight risk. And there is more than one type of std you know. How come the rest doesn't seem to bother you?
Such as herpes eye infections from facials, which can damage eyesight.

Yes, it's a problem for me if they cross back and forth into into the mainstream. Here again, I feel it's just giving the powers that be more ammo to come at the adult industry.

If Christian can explain to me the logic of giving politicians, lawmakers, and critics more bullets for their guns I'm more than happy to listen. The std's are a concern to me as well, but I guess for the most part they're not life threatening unless untreated. I don't believe std's would shutter the adult industry. As I said I believe that if the idiots in OSHA(?? I'm not sure if they're the regulators in California)were to notice ANY adult entertainer flitting about between gay/straight/tranny/bi-sexual they might be inclined to take a second...or third look. Just more fuel for their fire. Once again....I'm painfully sorry I started this thread in the first place. Can't we delete it......

Could you say just a couple more times that you don't have an agenda and that you're not trying to stir anything up and that you have total respect for homosexuals and that you really wish you hadn't started this thread in the first place? Just in case there are still one or two people who are not yet totally convinced that you're a troll?
what about peter north? he bottomed in several movies and i hear he's straight? why should these men (christian and chris strokes, who only got his ass licked and dick sucked so he didn't go all the way with a man btw) be labeled/defined by society's labeling system (i.e., gay, str8, bi)? isn't it ok for a person to like what they like? and this man (christian) happens to like it all, if the producers/actresses that work with him have no problem with him, why do you??
If he's that phobic in a forum, he probably can't go to porn conventions. He'd be too scared to shit in a porn con public restroom. Edited by - charn on 4/7/2011 11:41:34 PM
watched a BBC doco on porn, big chunk of it was on gay porn. A big % of gay porn stars are straight...as they call it.. gay for pay. Peter North has done gay porn and done bareback with hundreds of women. are you so backwards that you think you can only get stds from gay sex? Who knows what straight male porn stars get up to off camera, they could be having sex with anyone male or female, you have no idea...then have unprotected sex with female on camera....thats what the regular tests are for. must say i am pretty open minded and not much gets me worked up, but this was one of the most narrow minded redneck idiot post ive seen in my short time on here. some people need better sex education..maybe if you stayed in school past 2nd grade you would be more enlightened
How far would you be willing to take it? Are guys who are suspected bi or gay automatically banned from straight porn? Do we also ban risky or riskier sex acts on film? And if the women can't decide who they want to perform with, who does?

I am not a "narrow minded", "phobic", "uneducated redneck". In the my posts following the initial one, I expressed concerns about how certain behaviors in the porn business could give anti-porn groups and lawmakers in California (and anywhere else for that matter)ammo in their crusade to regulate the industry to death. And, after a re-read, I admit that my initial post came out wrong. It's hostile and vitriolic and I understand the criticism leveled at me, but enough is enough. I now realize I was coming from a pissed off place and used this forum to vent. It seemed like a good idea at the time. I wont make that mistake again... I still feel that certain behaviors in the business will add fuel to the overtly conservative fires burning in California and will only serve to hurt the industry in the long run.
^ Regardless of your regrets, I'm glad you posted because I have enjoyed reading the many thoughtful replies. It also sounds like you may have had pause while reading them, which surely is a good thing. I particularly liked rivegauche's reply, "why should these men ... be labeled/defined by society's labeling system (i.e., gay, str8, bi)? isn't it ok for a person to like what they like?" This is essentially my perspective, and that of many queer theorists. These labels restrict peoples sexuality, from the inside and the outside -- we label ourselves while growing up, and other people label us too. Sexuality cannot be defined by these two or three simplistic terms. And as charn alluded to, porn as an industry is far queerer than perhaps the industry itself and many of its fans would like to allow. I for one love it when these categories are breached (and this regularly happens in "straight" porn, whether intentionally or not). However, I am also concerned about performer safety, regardless of orientation, and believe there is room to make some changes without destroying the industry.
The only thing I've learned from reading this thread is that Criss Strokes is marrired to Angelina Valentine. But dude, if you don't wanna see Christian or Strokes, then don't watch their scenes!
The problem with that suggestion is that many committed porn fans appear to be somewhat OCD-like in their fandom and get extraordinarily pissed off if outside circumstances (e.g. the presence of Christian) "force" them to enjoy only 8 of the 10 scenes by a starlet they happen to like instead of the full complement. It's a phenomenon you can observe in practically any place where people get to comment on individual scenes - "take what you like and ignore the rest" just doesn't seem to work for many porn fans. The diatribes against bi-performing actors are just the most extreme form of it, perhaps because people find it easier to rationalize it in those cases, but it's observable for pretty much any male talent for any number of reasons.
Oh, boy! Another one of these entertaining threads. If your primary concern is the health of performers who "bareback," then where's your concern for all the women who engage in anal sex without condoms? Are women's asses "safer" than men's? How about women who do ATMs? All I've gleamed from this thread is that the idea of a guy who fucks both men and women is a turnoff for you but, instead of admitting that, you're trying to appear to have some misguided humanitarian concerns over the health and safety of performers.
"Take what you like and ignore the rest" doesn't work when we're paying for the whole disc or a two-disc set (especially at Jules Jordan prices), so I suppose twistedvincent has indirectly hit on a real problem in porn. That could decrease as more people download and pay for individual scenes.
well dear, just know your right to enjoy porn in the privacy of your home should still be intact, and if it's being threatened, you fight it along with the rest of us pervs :-)

The porn world operates by a different set of standards than the rest of the world. Only in porn would a woman have sex with a man who is openly bisexual. I have a female relative who once broke up with a guy just because she found out he was a licensed beautician. There were no indicators that the guy was otherwise gay. She didn't catch him in bed with a man or anything like that, and he didn't display any of the stereotypical characteristics usually associated with gay men. She had actually been dating him for a while before she found out about the beautician's license. But just knowing that he actually had a license to style women's hair was enough of a turn-off for her to make her end the relationship. That's not surprising though. In my experience, I can honestly say that I've never met a single woman who has expressed being attracted to the idea of being with a man who has been with men. To the contrary, most heterosexual women seem repulsed by the idea. In general, it seems that most straight women avoid dating or sleeping with men who they know have been with other men. I agree that guys should not be allowed to switch between gay and straight porn at the same time. It should either be one or the other, not both. In most cases, that's already the way it works. Guys who have done gay porn are usally blackballed from straight porn. I'm sure there are many guys who have done gay just as a way to make money, and would love to be able to switch over to straight porn. But they can't because straight porn companies won't hire them due to their gay porn pasts. However, there are always a few exceptions. I don't know how guys like Christian and Strokes manage to get away with doing both, while most other guys couldn't. I can only assume that they must know enough of the right people in the industry to still keep getting work in straight scenes even though everyone knows that they also do gay scenes. Personally, knowing that a guy is a current "switch-hitter" makes me not want to see anything that the guy does.

Realtip, your notion of 'the real world' is bizarre, to say the least. Have to love the conviction with which you continue state your absurdly unfounded opinions. I know women who live with bisexual men, apparently according to you they don't exist, I guess you've never been to San Francisco, or a university campus for that matter. Seriously, where do you live that you have such a narrow view of human sexuality? I await further 'clarification' of your statement with bated breath.

to say only in porn would a woman have sex with a bi sexual man...wow thats almost as weird and incorrent as the original post. i happen to know of many many women who are massively turned on by the thought of men with men, especially a straight guy letting another man go down on him...or bi men in general. I know a lot of women hate it, but there are just as many who love it...turned on by it. I feel sorry for your cousin who would end a relationship because a man had a beautician licence, obviously she has some real issues within herself. That, or she is extremely homophobic and thinks any male who is not the stereotypical man...has something slightly different to most males ie beautician licence is gay and she cant be in a relationship with him. oh, and to gore gore girl, my bad for offending you with my redneck remark. to any redneck who is not homophobic, i apologise.

I want the female relative who once broke up with a guy just because she found out he was a licensed beautician to start posting here. (If that person is not, in fact, Jackie2000.)
Wow, reading this topic just shows how many homophobes are out there. I'm from California and most of us really don't give a shit about what people do with their own lives.
This I don't get. How do you see crossing over as more fuel for the fire? The only thing they care about is safety and health of employees, that's what OSHA is for; it's in their name Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Oh and stop blaming politicians and law makers; they have more important things to deal with. This goes back to my second sentence. Only reason this topic is even up for debate is because of advocacy groups telling them to do it. Did you see them criticizing gays or transsexuals or anything else back in October when the HIV scare happened? All they criticized was: people in charge, AIM, and the performers for not protecting themselves. Yeah, they mentioned that he did both gay and straight porn but that was part of the story, never did I hear them criticize him for it or blame the fact that he did gay porn or say that was the reason he contracted HIV.
Like BlackSix said, your statement is just filled with irony. So this guy has a beautician's license, who said he is gay or styled women's hair? Do you know barbers need beautician licenses too? Oh and before you go about calling this gay since it's guys shaving other guy's face/head, can't have it both ways. If it's gay to be a guy styling a woman's hair it MUST BE STRAIGHT to spend all day in a room with males touching their heads and faces. Oh and get your head out of your ass, if his opinion doesn't matter, neither does yours. Do all of us a favor and just stop posting because we don't care.

I don't know who said the guy was gay. I didn't. The story was simply an anecdote to back up my overall point, which some people have missed by focusing on trivialities. I also fully accept that my opinion doesn't matter to you. It doesn't have to. Mine doesn't matter, his doesn't matter, yours doesn't matter, etc. That's why we all have our own, and don't need to rely on anyone else's.
The first statement is false, in that it's a sweeping generalization based on your opinion but attributed to society as a whole as if it's fact. It's easy to disprove. The second statement is true, because you asserted it's your experience. I don't understand why you feel the need to attribute your experiences to everyone as though it's simple fact.

Gaiety is the earthly manifestation of God's sense of humor. No? Try wrapping your mind around Barney Frank!
Looks like the OP has been scared off... Now the discussion has shifted over to the genius thoughts of realtip. So, let's asses your initial statement: "The porn world operates by a different set of standards than the rest of the world. Only in porn would a woman have sex with a man who is openly bisexual." +++ I'm not really gonna bother with this first bit because everyone else already has. Suffice it to say that you're wrong because you don't know every woman on earth and whether or not any of them would be attracted to 'bisexual' men. I also don't know every woman on earth, but I guess you and I hang out with different crowds because I know a number of women who have knowingly fucked 'bi' men. I even know a married couple who both consider themselves 'bi.' "I have a female relative who once broke up with a guy just because she found out he was a licensed beautician. In general, it seems that most straight women avoid dating or sleeping with men who they know have been with other men." +++ I have no right to pass judgment on your female relative and her lifestyle choices. She can do what she chooses. On the other hand, you're completely wrong to apply a single (or small set of) experience[s] to an entire group of people: women. Here it's not even a matter of "right" or "wrong" but simply your inability to detach your beliefs from those of everyone else. I.E. if you think something should or shouldn't happen, then you assume everyone else must agree. "I agree that guys should not be allowed to switch between gay and straight porn at the same time. It should either be one or the other, not both. In most cases, that's already the way it works. Guys who have done gay porn are usally blackballed from straight porn. I'm sure there are many guys who have done gay just as a way to make money, and would love to be able to switch over to straight porn. But they can't because straight porn companies won't hire them due to their gay porn pasts." +++ I'll address the second part of this statement first. You're right. Many men who have performed in gay porn are blackballed from appearing in straight porn. This is quite unfortunate and an obvious double standard meant to satisfy people like you who just can't bare the thought of a man actually enjoying sex with both men and women. But is this mentality fair? Should performers really have to worry about the type of work they do out of fear of turning off folks like you who just can't bare the thought of a filthy homo 'defiling' your favorite sex queen? I hate to sound like the Russian troll colony that found its way here a couple months ago and posted endless threads about how "lebisex" and "homosex" were given double standards, but realtip, you're fueling their fire. No one would argue that the porn industry exists primarily to "satisfy" its customers, and the easiest way to do that is to comply with their phobias and pre-conceptions. It makes sense from a marketing and profit generating standpoint, but otherwise all it does is fuel biases.

Of coure it's easy to disprove. You can definitely find women who are willing to have sex with openly gay men. As I said before, there are always exceptions to every norm.
Because I expect people to be intelligent enough to know the difference without someone always having to come right out and point it out to them. I'm obviously also not used to surrounding myself with overreactionary people.
