I think I posted this a while ago in this thread, but another big problem with GFF since it changed leadership was the endless one-off casting of all these nobodies. Fanboys at the time argued that we'll never know if a performer is good unless we bring in new girls, yet hardly any of them ever got brought back. Kinda defeats the purpose, huh?

Hard to believe that less than a decade ago we'd get Lena Paul, Karlee Grey, Scarlett Sage, etc. all in the same movie.

I just mentioned Kenna James with Dani Daniels in the other thread. Look at what Kenna James was doing in that scene. She was a newcomer there too, because before that, she had only shot a scene with Lena Nicole for GFF. And the rest is history. Look at how much Kenna James has been loved in the industry across all kinds of scenes she has done since then.

Performers will always retire from the mainstream eventually. What matters is whether directors coming from within the industry understand the previous benchmarks and know how to execute scenes at that level.
After Nica Noelle, Ricky Greenwood did wonders for Sweetheart Video. Then there was Dan Vespoli's direction for some time, and now it's Mike Quasar.

The performers are not the issue. It's the directors and their execution-or rather, their inability to make scenes feel believable.
Even in Hollywood action movies, where you know the scenes are completely staged and unrealistic, good direction can still make them look believable. But here, nothing seems to look convincing or even good to the eye.

But their real crime is in not recognizing those few performers who don't look weird/awkward working with other women and leaning into those precious talents, using them consistently and strategically. Take this new GFF release. That Avery Wilds person looks like a performer I'd tune in for, visually. So what's the problem? Well, instead of pairing her with a hot 29-year-old WLW and/or good-acting performer who has been licking women up and down for the past 6-7 years of her life, the company has paired her with an extremely probably not into chicks and probably like 24 year old cutesy-style performer who probably doesn't even know what she likes sexually and definitely does a fake-ass baby voice constantly. The shoot was only ever going to be very stilted, posed, uncomfortable-looking nonsense. That's the failure of the producer. Neither of these two women is going to know what to do with a female, interested in/curious about women or not. I'm not even asking for some retarded younger/older meme script or whatever...just call up a performer who already knows how to finger a woman properly and can guide a shoot to make it look fluid....mainly by being the primary, sensual and physical giver.

No one's watching and learning on the job from an experienced, confident, hyper-sexual GG performer these days. It's not possible to perpetuate solid GG content this way.

By all of this I mean - and I think this is the most succinct critique of the styling and coaching and directing and producing and performing and acting that I can give - is that it all looks very unserious. Videos that look like two women having fluid, flowing, passes-the-eye-test sex are about 1 in every 100 right now. 99% unserious.

Granted, to be fair to the porn producers, it's probably hard (expensive) to coax the most savvy performers away from simply living off their creator platforms to come shoot a video they don't own.

On a totallty diffeerent topic though, holy smokes, Aria Sloane has an attractive figure.

It's a good thing either the NEW director is actually posting the updates on X OR THE PERFORMER HERSELF. No need to have a social media manager now-it's best to do some cost-cutting!
Mind you, Demi Hawks was the best performer in Lesbian Ghost Stories 9, alongside Chloe Foxxe, in my opinion.
