| Shadow115 Member 335 Posts 7/09 | What are anyone's terms? I doubt Mindi would turn down repeated offers to shoot, though, especially if they paired her with Mia Simone. "The studio that got its mojo by pairing older women with younger women for 10+ years before losing its mojo after it stopped doing that is not going to get its mojo back by going back to the thing that got its mojo in the first place." - LezTrib |
| LezTrib Member 181 Posts 8/26 | The older-women-vs-younger-women concept is still happening. The problem is that it doesn't seem to be working anymore because, apart from Girlsway, audiences on other websites don't seem to want it as much. Dan said very specifically in an interview that the vision should not be about pairing people in the first place, but about making movies. The first 10 movies should be different from the next 10 movies that's what makes a studio distinctive in the first place. Edited by - LezTrib on 9/19/2026 10:51:10 PM |

| LezTrib Member 181 Posts 8/26 | Anyway, the criticism will always continue because, lately, I haven't been happy with the content on any GG website. I just hope some serious thought is being given to reviving this already slowly dying niche content called G/G porn. |

| Danielmayu33216 Member 674 Posts 5/25 | The new director seems to be active now, I guess, but the studio's page on Twitter still isn't. Anyway, it's good to see that they're back to posting and updating. BTW, please watch the interview with Charlie Forde. SHe talks about how much the industry has changed from a legal perspective and what's actually happening right now. |
| whakamaakuukuu Member Let's be careful out there! 428 Posts 4/26 | They tried an advertising campaign here to try to encourage children and parents to be approachable to discuss it (as a way that young boys don't take everything about and in porn as legit and expect it/pressure somebody for the same in real life). The slogan was about "conversation", in one of those contemporary ways of using it as a verb. One of those hypocrisies that very nearly everybody (at least males) has watched porn, but still treats it as absolutely hush-hush. I don't mean that they should get recommendations for quality scenes from their mother and father. haha |
| LezTrib Member 181 Posts 8/26 | But what about the direction and the way the scenes are being made? Are those aspects also being regulated? What about performers losing interest or not acting properly? What about seduction between two performers, which sometimes doesn't even look like seduction anymore? And what about the camera work needed to capture everything properly from a director's perspective? I understand there are issues with finances, losses, piracy, and everything else, but even with all of that, the direction cannot be this poor, I guess. |

| Danielmayu33216 Member 674 Posts 5/25 | But I don't think it's B. Skow. His camera work looks much brighter, the locations are a little different, and including a shower scene isn't really his style. Though I like Chloe Foxxe and River Lynn, it's still a pass for me. I'll wait for the next one because it will indeed include Octavia Red. The new director should come up with better ideas next time. This continuity in every series isn't going to work, even if the video duration is shorter. |

| Shadow115 Member 335 Posts 7/09 | I think I posted this a while ago in this thread, but another big problem with GFF since it changed leadership was the endless one-off casting of all these nobodies. Fanboys at the time argued that we'll never know if a performer is good unless we bring in new girls, yet hardly any of them ever got brought back. Kinda defeats the purpose, huh? Hard to believe that less than a decade ago we'd get Lena Paul, Karlee Grey, Scarlett Sage, etc. all in the same movie. |
| LezTrib Member 181 Posts 8/26 | Don't even get me started on the sexual encounter discussion, because my mind and words would probably say something that wouldn't be ethically correct. They are just surviving on the barest of margins now, and slowly but surely, I feel they may eventually shut down completely over the next few years. |

| LezTrib Member 181 Posts 8/26 | Performances can feel fake with almost anyone, but with a good director involved, even those performances can be made believable. At that point, it doesn't matter who the performer is. When Lena Paul, Scarlett Sage, and Karlee Grey first entered the industry, they were also considered newcomers, which people seem to forget. I just mentioned Kenna James with Dani Daniels in the other thread. Look at what Kenna James was doing in that scene. She was a newcomer there too, because before that, she had only shot a scene with Lena Nicole for GFF. And the rest is history. Look at how much Kenna James has been loved in the industry across all kinds of scenes she has done since then. Performers will always retire from the mainstream eventually. What matters is whether directors coming from within the industry understand the previous benchmarks and know how to execute scenes at that level. The performers are not the issue. It's the directors and their execution-or rather, their inability to make scenes feel believable. Edited by - LezTrib on 9/23/2026 11:59:58 PM |
| Girl Crazy Member Show me sex, not poses. 222 Posts 11/25 | But their real crime is in not recognizing those few performers who don't look weird/awkward working with other women and leaning into those precious talents, using them consistently and strategically. Take this new GFF release. That Avery Wilds person looks like a performer I'd tune in for, visually. So what's the problem? Well, instead of pairing her with a hot 29-year-old WLW and/or good-acting performer who has been licking women up and down for the past 6-7 years of her life, the company has paired her with an extremely probably not into chicks and probably like 24 year old cutesy-style performer who probably doesn't even know what she likes sexually and definitely does a fake-ass baby voice constantly. The shoot was only ever going to be very stilted, posed, uncomfortable-looking nonsense. That's the failure of the producer. Neither of these two women is going to know what to do with a female, interested in/curious about women or not. I'm not even asking for some retarded younger/older meme script or whatever...just call up a performer who already knows how to finger a woman properly and can guide a shoot to make it look fluid....mainly by being the primary, sensual and physical giver. No one's watching and learning on the job from an experienced, confident, hyper-sexual GG performer these days. It's not possible to perpetuate solid GG content this way.
On a totallty diffeerent topic though, holy smokes, Aria Sloane has an attractive figure. Edited by - Girl Crazy on 9/24/2026 1:06:40 AM |

| Danielmayu33216 Member 674 Posts 5/25 | As for the new director, I'm not sure. Annalena Reno has shot for them again recently, so I can't say for certain. Wait for my review of Lesbian Ghost Stories 9. I guess it will be submitted tomorrow. Those who are genuinely interested will read it for sure. Those who are only interested in criticism without understanding the industry's issues and problems can keep doing that indefinitely. Their opinions don't matter to the studios anymore. Recession is part and parcel of every industry, and this industry is no different. You can't expect every movie and every scene to be a masterpiece. Even during the Golden Era, not everything was a masterpiece for sure. My subjective opinion doesn't matter, and neither does yours. Studios can't keep running at a loss for a long time or keep shooting every scene the same way if people don't support them going forward. |

| Danielmayu33216 Member 674 Posts 5/25 | Maybe they haven't hired a social media manager to handle the GFFilms X profile, so it could basically be a cost-cutting measure. Second, they're still continuing with the VOD model. I just submitted my review of Lesbian Ghost Diaries 9, and I really hope people read the full review once it gets updated on the website, especially the final "drawbacks" section. I don't know how long this studio can continue, but as a fan, I genuinely want them to survive for a long time. I'll keep following and supporting this studio until my last breath. There aren't many sites left providing GG scenes, and I'm basically the guy who watches GG scenes 80-90% of the time. |

| LezTrib Member 181 Posts 8/26 | I genuinely want to understand how these studios manage to survive despite all of this. And secondly, why are almost all the scenes on their websites rated above 90%, especially during the B. Skow era? |

But sometimes, we forget that performers are human beings too. They perform all kinds of scenes, and we often have no idea what they go through physically or mentally afterward. We assume that because someone was fantastic in a scene, they must be perfectly fine. A few days ago, we were celebrating Kristen Scott's best scenes and talking about how incredible she was in them. I was doing the same. Yesterday, I finally had some time to look into what happened to her and why she stepped away from mainstream performing. I read about what she has been going through and also found the app where she posts some updates. I haven't downloaded it yet, but after reading what I could find, it really made me think differently. Kristen actually found out about the problem on the set itself after performing. It made me realize how little we really know about what performers may be dealing with behind the scenes. We see the finished scene, appreciate the performance, and move on, but there can be a completely different story behind it. So, I've finally decided that I don't want to keep sharing fantasy or pairing recommendations on threads or in my reviews. I'd rather simply enjoy and appreciate the performances I get to watch from the performers I review, without constantly wishing for a particular pairing or fantasy. I just wanted to share this because I couldn't find a separate thread for it. Conclusion: At the end of the day, performers are people first. We can appreciate their work, celebrate their performances, and have our preferences, but we should also remember that we never truly know what someone is going through behind the scenes. Sometimes, a little empathy matters more than getting the fantasy we want. |

Unfortunately, Shadow115, i think it's really difficult to create that again. Syren de Mer is probably the only older woman active (for mainstream) from that generation. I can't name 8 actresses like India Summer, Mindi Mink or Cherie Deville... |
| LezTrib Member 181 Posts 8/26 | Anyway, this industry sometimes cares about its performers and sometimes it doesn't. It has always been that way. I remember when Elexis Monroe was suffering from health issues. Dan helped her by making a movie, and all the stars involved in the movie gave up their half fees to support Elexis Monroe financially. | Danielmayu33216 Member 674 Posts 5/25 | The most interesting thing is that, Lesbian Ghost Stories 9 and this movie appears to have been shot with the same professional video camera because same kind of color grading exist, judging by the screenshots. Does this mean the last movie was also made by the new director, François! The status remains the same, and the series volume continues though my money will always be spent watching Octavia Red😍 |

What competition Excogirls have been given with this groundbreaking new release! What a unique storyline, something apparently never made by any studio in the history of adult GG movies And that pairings? Absolutely brilliant. except for Octavia and Alexa, I guess. **THE GFF IS BACK!** Am I correct, everyone? Edited by - LezTrib on 10/5/2026 1:06:40 PM Edited by - LezTrib on 10/5/2026 1:19:12 PM |
| Danielmayu33216 Member 674 Posts 5/25 | Anyway, Karla Kush really hit the nail on the head about why creator-owned sites give performers more freedom than mainstream platforms, though Charlie Forde, in her recent YouTube interview, mentioned that after putting in so much time and effort into creator-owned websites, a performer makes only around $400 per month on average. The slow death of the industry is something we're watching in real time. Fans, brace yourselves. because after GTA 6 releases, I'm genuinely scared to see what happens. 😂

| Girl Crazy Member Show me sex, not poses. 222 Posts 11/25 | I just hope there comes a site with a niche focused on recording women actually do it with each other, rather than just pose and say retarded memes over and over and over again. I am glad to see the studio sites dying, for the most part, not that the OF stuff is better. There is an opportunity for a GG site that can keep costs low while showing two women having sex...which, again, is different from posing, fake-wailing, and over-the-top derp faces. Wipe this low-quality shit out and rebuild, with non-abusive camera people and chicks who aren't afraid of pussy. Glory be to Sappho herself if this cartoon era is nearly dead. The same kind of nonsense movies and scenes are being released one after another, repeatedly targeting an audience that subscribed for a whole year-only to be given the same predictable concepts over and over again. People subscribe to a website when they think it's worth coming back for **creative and worthwhile content**. Otherwise, they'll simply go to their favourite performers' creator websites, buy a video bundle, and then request the kind of content they actually want to see from those performers. After all these years, the industry still seems unable to figure out what casual viewers actually want to **buy or watch**. But okay, keep going just for the loyal 5,000-10,000 subscribers on AdultTime who will pay for a one-year subscription. You're not really gaining much from that either, because as inflation rises, those subscribers have already paid you once. Wow. **What incredible growth for an industry that apparently has everything figured out.** Am I right? |
| Danielmayu33216 Member 674 Posts 5/25 | Is the adult industry really recession-proof? Just read the comments on Kenna James' thread mentioned by Morbidthoughts, who photographed various performers at Pool Crush parties. He also mentioned that even content creators are struggling and aren't earning as much money as before. Second, Cami mentioned in this article that there are around 922 performers working in the industry, along with countless people working behind the scenes. You can't expect everyone to remain happy, especially when it comes to producing content like GG or performing in it when it is watched by only a small percentage of the total audience-mostly the 15% who are specifically interested in or addicted to adult GG content, for heaven's sake. Nobody talks about solving age verification. Nobody talks banning free porn adult sites. Nobody talks about regulations forced on the industries. Every day, there are new challenges facing the adult industry. Go and check the reports about strip clubs in the United States-they are also going through extremely difficult times. What more do you want? If you can't understand the basic issues behind the downfall, it isn't simply because of the content. The bigger problem is the macroeconomic environment surrounding the industry. Edited by - Danielmayu33216 on 10/7/2026 2:04:44 AM |

If some people don't find any GG content enjoyable right now, that's their problem, not mine. I'm not working in this industry, but I closely follow it. The problem is not the content, directors, or performers. The problem has gone beyond their control-it's a macroeconomic problem that is being forced upon the industry and affecting its ability to operate properly. |

Start by watching these four scenes: "Perfect Lovers," "Edge of Her," "Tender Love," and "Girlfriends Intimacy(Last 8-10 minutes only). If members do not find these scenes addictive and visually appealing then come here to tell on this forum that we don't find something extraordinary in the above mentioned scenes. Hats off to the director for shooting these types of scenes and to the performers for their authentic performances even if they are doing it for money. |
