^^^^ I guess I should see it more as: "Every month there is a new Girlsway Girl." Instead of: "This month's girl is..." But still, if for example, Sasha Heart does a lot of amazing scenes and headlines a feature in 2017 then she won't have a chance at the GOTY. Seems kind of unfair. ^^ That would be one hell of a scene!
^Of course, this is all my speculation, but it is sad if previous GOTM's will never again have a shot at GOTY, but I think the perks of being a GOTM are pretty good compensation. Anyways, future potential Girls of the month (or maybe even year) Alexis Fawx and Rebel Lynn's scene Chore Duty Part 2 just dropped.

First of all, congratulation Jelena Jensen to GOTY 2016. This prize is in right hand. And for year 2017 I wish some combination girls like Elle Alexandra, Lana Rhoades, Ryan Ryans and of course Jelena Jensen. Also contract with Jayden Cole could by nice. And Girlsway - GREAT JOB! Keep doing that. :)
Guess I'm very much in the minority here, but I'm a little surprised at Jelena's win. Not that I think she's put out any bad scenes per se (I've yet to see a legit "bad" scene on Girlsway), but it always seems like her performances don't really bring the heat as much as a Serena or Shyla scene. I could be overlooking something, but every time I watch her, she seems to lean a little heavily on the fingering aspect and doesn't seem to spend much time actually performing oral (at least compared to other prominent girl-girl performers). Anyway, these are little nitpicks and it's great to see such a solid collection of candidates in that contest.

The preview for the Real Girlfriends scene is up and it looks great. I'll probably skip the breast milk part though. It could make for a great series but I don't know of any other lesbian couples in porn. Maybe they could do a similar series where they pair up performers who are best friends.
They've gone down the 'real girlfriend' route. lol Wonder which of the brains trust wrote this; 'Real life girlfriends Violet Monroe and Kleio Valentien describe how they started dating and what it's like being in a lesbian relationship while working in the porn industry. Their biggest conflict is scheduling time for each other, but otherwise it's the most fun relationship they've ever had. Both girls consider themselves bisexual rather than strictly lesbian. They love dick, but they always gravitate back to vagina.'
Real Girlfriends is a good idea, but I can't think of many other couples they could use. The only other that comes to mind is Elle Alexandra and Charlotte Stokely. But then again, I had no idea Kleio and Violet were a couple, so maybe there are some others also on the down low. I do like the reenactment portion of the scene. Obviously, these girls have sex more than once, so they could technically do multiple scenes of the same partner if they have more interesting stories. ^Yea. Interesting that it bumped Shyla's Dream Pairings down to the end of the month, but nice to see that the Jan. GOTM's Dream pairing is actually released in January, so it makes sense. And it's also a 2-parter. If this is how all the future Dream Pairings will be, it's a great idea. ^ Make sure you watch the BTS interview with Bree. She talks a bit why she picked Jenna and the heavy religious theme to it. I'm glad that she didn't have to tone down what she wanted to do.
Following Bree on twitter, I'm not really surprised at the scenario she wanted for her scene. I'm a little surprised Girlsway went along with the idea. On a trivial note, 2 girls are paired who both have a noticeable space between their front teeth.
I am interested in knowing what qualities AVN uses to determine Best Membership Site. Is it solely the content on the site or is the overall membership experience? Tushy, which won the AVN in this category, has beautifully shot content that is the released to the site every 5 days. Members have the ability to comment on the individual scenes. Thus, they have great content and comments. Girlsway has beautifully shot content released 4 times a week, BTS for each scene, an ability to comment on the scene, an extremely active forum where members discuss casting for upcoming scenes and share script idea which are sometimes used. I am a really happy year long subscriber to both Tushy and Girlsway. I think both sites are wonderful. In the case of this year's AVN Award, I am disappointed that Girlsway was not recognized for their hard work in making a truly immersive membership experience that goes beyond the traditional website experience. Thank you Bree and Alan for listening and always trying to make the web site better.

That quote (you know, the one with the dreaded 'd' word lol) actually came from the two women themselves during their interview. I didn't want to do anything to censor this for our audience ... this is a real-life couple who wanted to share their story with GW fans and to do their first scene together as a special gift for our audience. Both women are bisexual and do a lot of BG performances, so the subject came up. I could have cut it out, I could have censored it, but that would have taken away from the authenticity I wanted to present. I mean, how cool is it for GG fans to actually see a scene involving 100% genuine chemistry between two off-camera lovers? I hope people enjoy it ... I have recently been approached by another off-camera lesbian porn couple who want to have their official coming out on our site.
We've tweaked the design for DREAM PAIRINGS, now that it's part of our GOTM campaigns, so they should stand out better now. I'll do the same for REAL GIRLFRIENDS if we shoot enough to make it a series!
Alan and I always let our GOTM write their own scenarios for their dream pairings. This one was definitely controversial but Bree felt very strongly about it and I wanted to support her fantasy!

I've also been wondering about the how award winners in porn are selected. Why did Xbiz Choose Little Red and AVN Missing? Do they focus on different aspects and criteria?
^ All award shows, including porn ones, are not to be taken seriously. It's a chance for everyone to dress up and get out of the house. There is no criteria.

The Oscars serve a purpose for advertising movies that would otherwise go unwatched. Can't imagine porn awards serve the same purpose. Still, it's nice that everyone gets an prize.
And now Shyla's Dream Pairing with Aiden Ashley has dropped. Lucky for 2 Dream Pairings to drop in the same month. Can't wait to see who is February's GOTM and who she picks for her dream pairing.
No idea ... but it is interesting how each publication chose to focus on something different. It was like that last year too .. with XBIZ / Business of Women and AVN / The Turning. I'm just pleased that we took home the majority of the all-girl categories this year, feels very rewarding.
Congrats to Uma Jolie on Being February's Girl of The Month! She's been steadily putting in work for a while and is getting properly recognized. Can't wait to see who she picks for her Dream Pairing and what kind of storyline she comes up with.
