Female directors have to work doubly hard as it is mostly men who buy porn and therefore a male perspective on the subject usualy works best. Most female directors usualy have to do a bit of,'acting' themselves before being taken seriously as a director, althogh there are eceptions... [Link] |

From the sound of it these houses have a bit of a monopoly, and there isn't much incentive for them to clean up their act. I imagine only the big agents would have a chance of changing things, by refusing to allow the performers they represent to work under those conditions. Not much an individual performer can do if they want to keep on working... Do performers become ill as a consequence of those unhygienic conditions?
