Do you have gamma or colour level adjustments in your advanced display properties?

Maybe. It's something I'm considering when we eventaully get around to converting the forum to XHTML and proper use of CSS.

Well, if you're taking votes, I'll second that.
I'd love the option to choose a more subdued scheme.

How's the RSS thingie coming along?

More subdued than beige and white?

K I love it when you get technical...

I sometimes post at a board that's all shades of gray and it's hideous and has the flattest feel to it. Another forum -- Literotica, just changed their boards to a new program with personal options for colour schemes and layout, but wow there were sad people everywhere mourning the loss of the old, resisting the change, getting all miserable. The owners there even went so far as to provide a new "skin" that actually resembled the "old" literotica format

It's easy to underestimate how appearance can effect folks. Sort of like radically changing the decor in your fave bar.

Mayhaps subdued was the wrong word. I'm falling back on the trusty 'English is not my first language' cop out.

What I'd like to see is a sort of twilight theme.
All this white and bright yellow background gets tiring for the eyes. It does look classy though.
I prefer bright text on a dark background. Getting a twilight theme to actually look anywhere near as pretty as the current theme may well be a bit of a challenge though.

I have used a lot of different forums, and I can definitely say the interface offered here is the best I have ever seen.

It's easy to read, easy to navigate and free from annoying visual distractions. It's great to be able to concentrate on the content without thinking about the interface.

Now if only I could think of something nice and technical to say, I would help to raise Loraine's moisture level.

My two cents, I like the colors as they are.

The interface is very good as it is.

And I expect most people prefer the bright colour scheme we have now.

I would like a user-selectable option of choosing a darker theme.

Oh, and as we (I) are being so picky, could the message entry field possibly be widened?
Or is the current small window a sneaky way of discouraging lengthy posts?

In the beginning I thought that the beige and white colours were somewhat boring, but now I've got used to them, and actually I think that the forum is quite nice! It's easy to read the posts, and it's easy to find what one might search.
