Nope, they must have quite a backlog. I just sent them another submission last week, too. I'm wondering who else is out there that I could sell content to. I looked at "clips for sale", and someone also told me it can be done through "X-tube" but I don't know about that site. Wish there was an amateur producers forum, like ADT, but just for Shlubs like me. We could probably help identify scammer distributors and help each other avoid all kinds of different pitfalls. My buddy in town shoots video (non-porn) with his 7D and recently got a [ invalid url ] about shooting porn on a DSLR, so you might check it out if you're interested. Some industry guys chimed in on it as well. Both HD cams and DSLRs have their advantages. It all boils down to what you're comfortable with and what fits your needs and the substance of the project you're doing.
If you can hear ANY noises from your hands or the camera's motors, the sound is not OK enough to be selling it to people who are going to be looking for any reason to criticize your work.
Xtube says amateurs can earn money by submitting videos and receiving 50% of the sales. But I just spent 15mins on xtube and did not see how to purchase any video. That can't be good for the sellers. Clips4sale is an overcrowded site but the purchasing aspect is more straightforward; I suspect many visitors to C4S come prepared to spend money if they find suitably satisfactory/interesting content. That's the case for me anyway.
Maybe this was addressed already and I missed it - sorry if that's the case. Did the performers bring an equivalent of an AIM test along to the shoot? Or were condoms used? I'm interested to know what the non-studio process for that kinda thing is.
^ there is no established standard for that. Probably varies between different producers. I'm mostly trying to shoot couples right now, so when it's not a situation involving performers who work with many, many partners, it's a bit of a different game. But outside of the loose-knit studio based industry in LA, I'd bet there is not a lot of STD testing regimens in place.
It makes sense for Homegrown to release the new videos at a slower pace than the incoming pace, so as to always have a buffer of unreleased videos and give their subscribers a steady supply of new updates.
OK, it seems that my shoot was not used as an update for the HGV site, but it did in fact make it onto the new DVD "Horny over 40". I shot the woman they are billing as "Shar". I can be seen in a Brazil soccer jersey in one of the back of the box pictures, face down in the punanny! I'm so happy!
They used another scene I shot for Amateur Co-eds 8, super stoked. Trying to get some content together for a Clips4sale storefront. Anybody else ever done this? Seems like there's a ton of content on there. Edited by - raybbaby on 2/18/2011 11:25:17 PM
