Hello All,

I've heard from another board that there are Japanese mosaic descramblers that exist and work pretty well. They say they are sold in Japanese AV magazines.
Can anyone out there tell me if this is true and how are they obtainable?

Best regards,

I can't imagine that this would be feasible. If a portion of the image is pixellated, it's likely been done in an irreversible way. Any attempt to reverse the process would be interpolative and would not come close to producing the original image. It's really no different than trying to take a low-resolution image of a car driving away and trying to restore the letters and digits of the license plate. There aren't enough pixels in the low resolution to derive the data.

I have heard of descramblers, but I have also heard that they are unreliable.
