But times change... think back a couple of years ago to Jake Malone in the glory days of CFC and Be My Bitch and the rest. He too was head and shoulders above the pack, and it seemed like he was going from strength to strength. Now look at him - he's gone further and further off into his self-indulgent wacko land producing more and more obscure stuff that's also lamer and lamer. Over the summer there were so many Jaysin releases - I was getting burned out just watching them, so I worry that he won't be able to keep up the pace of making them... Don't get me wrong, I love what he does and I hope he goes on for ever, but it ain't necessarily so... maybe the next great director is just waiting in the wings somewhere... and maybe he'll shoot for a company like JJV that give their directors more freedom.
