Maybe it was both. And maybe I'm even remembering correctly. But all this time, since she has been retired, I've figured that when I saw her in March 2011, she was talking about what turned out to be her final scene or scenes. And now I find out that might not have been the case. But I guess she could have been going over BIC2 in mid April and thought to add GG with Kirsten Price as a final touch to it. Of course I believe you (Jamn5245) though, if you have asked her what her final scene was and that's what she told you. In any case, I'm reasonably confident that her BG scenes with Keni Styles, with Justice Young, and with Scott Nails from Just Jenna 2 were among her last BG scenes shot, along with the BGG with Manuel and Katsuni from Breast in Class 2. She signed with JKP because she found their sets comfortable places to work, and she liked talking to Jill Kelly the person. It was only later that she realized that the finished product wasn't that great and saw that large segments of the internet didn't like her new employer, or her being with them. I think that hurt her pride (though she might say JKP scenes were better when she first signed with them, but then they went downhill) but I don't think there was that much she could do about it. I would think her contract would have said something about how she couldn't make derogatory statements about JKP to the public, and certainly she either toed the company line, or stayed silent about them, for as long as she was under contract with them. But I don't think she cared what fans thought of her going g/g only. She had been willing to retire completely, rather than allow her work to poison her off camera relationship. The fact that she was allowed to keep her JKP salary was a surprise bonus for her. She did begin her feature dancing career while she was with JKP, which was some extra income for her. If she had walked away completely, or she was still burning her candle at both ends as a free agent gonzo girl, it's less likely she would have gotten into that when she did. But the exclusive contract gave her both the time, and the incentive to both keep her name out there and earn some personal profit for herself. But you're right, I don't know who was buying all her movies during that time. JKP was paying her salary, but I don't know who all was buying their movies. I'm sure there were always some casual porn fans at the video store who knew nothing about JKP but they could remember Jenna from the Fleshhunter movies or Big Bottom Sadie or whatever else, plus there had to have been some Jenna fans for whom hope sprung eternal. Her pay versus sales for her movies may have been a net negative for JKP's bottom line in the end, for all I know, but I'd still wager they had far bigger problems than that. Her relationship that she had quit bg over had floundered by the time her contract expired, but at that time she was still attached to the idea of being a contract girl, and she wasn't willing to do her first new bg (apart from some POV bjs with cameraman bf) in years for Generic Gonzo Movie #122. She did some solo and g/g scenes for some different companies while she discussed contracts with some of the different companies with contract stars. Some of the scenes she did for Evil Angel and Elegant Angel during this time were quite good. But she couldn't get any contracts she liked, she hooked up with Jules Jordan, and then made JHDS, and her career took the course it did. [Link] |

Compilations per se means a collection of scenes that were already released on another DVD (usually of the same label). You’re right insofar as porn DVDs nowadays seldom have a story line, so in the technical sense all are compilations.
