They have no right to remove our 2nd Amendment rights nor attempt to paint them as some kind hunting or sport shooting right. The 2nd Amendment is there so if they ever get out of line, we can take them out. None of other Rights have any power without the 2nd Amendment. The entire idea of group punishment for a mass shooting is ridiculous. Other nations may believe they don't deserve to own weapons, but Americans should never think that way. "Deserve" by a mob is a nothing but mob tyranny practiced in the majority of the world. This is one of the only nations where weapons ownership was written into the Constitution. There was a very good reason for it. That reason being none of the other rights hold an bit of power if the people don't have the ability to fight for those rights including destroying their own government should they try to remove such rights. Good to see a young woman like Jessie taking the time to learn why the 2nd Amendment exits. It wasn't put in there because of the times. It was put in there because the founding fathers of America knew there were never be a time when the people of a nation could trust their government to hold all the power of force amongst them. Who knows what organization might one day acquire enough power to tyrannize a country, a community, or cause havok in the world. Thus the only way to be sure you have a chance to protect yourself is to make sure you are armed and ready to deal with it if it should happen. Stupid people assume that the world is a shiny, happy place where no ugly tyrants or bad people will ever raise their heads again and cops will always stop the bad guys before they commit crimes. Smart people know that will never be the case. The only way they can be sure to have somewhat of a chance of protecting themselves is to be armed and capable of self-defense. I'm sure there are plenty of lemmings looking to give up their freedoms assuming the bad parts of the world will never trouble them. If it does all go to shit or when a bad person shows up, they end up slaughtered. While the smart people arm themselves and spend a little time on self-defense in the same way people learn to manage their money, drive a car, or any other useful skill. They will be better prepared to deal with the bad folk. All Jessie is doing is making sure to speak her mind on her own right to self-defense and revolution. I'm happy to see it.
