He might try his hand at building tension in a more hard edged line, which could be interesting with the right talent. At 2-2 1/2 hours per, he provided about 45 minutes more value for your dollar. Jules kept increasing that margin, releaseing titles that were 3, then nearly 4 hours in length. This feat is now a bar that some, though not many, directors try to reach today. 2) Jules crafted his scenes from day one. Gonzo style isn't that old, my friends, and the directors that brought it to a new level have been mentioned in other places. I believe the point has been made on several occasions that everyone agrees, inside and outside the industry, that Stagliano set the mold. Jordan has never slighted or downsized the role Stagliano's played in his style. However, Jules has put his own indelible mark(s) in his productions. Stagliano, among the others, was one of a handful that took the work seriously; as a fan, artist, and businessman. Jordan emulated this ethos and moved beyond what was typical and formulaic at the time - horrible lighting, little regard for how the woman is presented, camera angles that lacked focus and continuity, progression of positions, and so on and on... 3) With Jules, the woman is always front and center - she's the work of art. How she's dressed, the way the camera caresses her body during the tease as she poses, bends, and struts for the camera. Not to brush past how she's dressed - I think Jules has had an eye for lingerie from the get go. In this case what seems like a little thing makes a huge difference. This point was not addressed by most others, and certainly not as a point of pride. Nowadays, attire and tease are an integral part of most gonzo productions. 4) Chemistry. Jules has a sixth sense about who works well with whom. The pool is much larger now, and the bar is so high that intensity can sometimes be mistaken for chemistry. With Jules, he developed both. His videos are complete, they rarely disappoint, and the chemistry mentioned above allows for moments that the hardcore fan remembers, the ones that add the most value to any scene - replay value. Everyone's entitled to their opinion, certainly, but to enter a devotional thread and bash someone without much of a point beyond Stagliano did it first is, and this is my opinion, pretty weak.
